BUFF BADGERS 2/16

Hi Ladies! I was up early today so thought I'd start!

I did the step portion of Step jump and pump and a Pilates Advanced video. I will going out to shovel a bit in a little while. I am one of those people that shovel all the time. Like every hour!! :) My neighbors think I'm crazy. One guy usually sees me and comes down with his snowblower. I really appreaciate him doing that, but I like the shoveling!

Hope you all stay safe if you venture out in the snow today!

Susan

Hi Everyone!

Did 2 segments of Mindy's Cardio Toolbox with HSChallenge upperbody and abs last night. Today after school I will just do a nice cardio.

How much snow did you get? Looks like you are getting your winter now. This is when I don't miss WI. I won't tell you how nice it has been here. I'm getting ready to get summer clothes out. It seems weird. I keep thinking it's May and that school will be out soon.

Went out with my daughter good freind's mother Saturday. It feels good to get out without kids and meet some people.

Good workouts everyone! Don't shovel too much!
}(

Susan - Sometimes I like to shovel for the exercise, too, and most of the time one of the neighbors with a snow blower comes over and helps out. If it's a work day I don't mind but on the weekend I'd rather do it myself. I just smile and thank them. :7 What Pilates do you do? I have Windsor Basics, The Method and Pilates for Dummies. At first it didn't click with me at all but I like doing it on my rest days or as an extra workout. I find myself sucking in my gut all the time now! LOL

Cynthia - Not sure what the total count is for snow. I think Waukesha got about 3-4" with another 3-6" expected today. Most of it is supposed to hit north and west of here. A lot of Washington and Sheboygan county schools closed today. I really don't mind the snow as long as the roads are decent. Now the temperature is supposed to drop. Brrrrr! I hate the cold more than the snow.

Had a 7 a.m. dentist appt. so no time for a workout this morning other than shoveling. I might do Pilates or KM leg drills tonight if I have time after Survivor.

Have a great day everyone!

Sue

Morning BB's,

Today is Bootcamp and 200 walking lunges. I've been incorporating the walking lunges into my workouts once a week. We will see if this does anything.

We didn't get that much snow by us. Probably about 1", so this only requires a shovel. I hardly ever have to do the shoveling, my DH or children love to do that! I say "have fun", and I will make you some cookies and hot cocoa for when you get back in the house. :D The DD's where hoping for more snow, they wanted a day off from school!

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi everyone,

I don't think we got TOO much snow overnight. Maybe 2 inches or so in Oshkosh - but schools are cancelled! I think they closed in preparation for what we are supposed to get over the day today - 12 inches, they say. We'll see I guess. My DH does the shoveling, which is fine with me.

Last night I did CTX All Step and then section 1 from CoreMax.

I'm kind of bummed about the weather because I've been waiting for this doctor's appointment for a couple of months, and now it's today and I have to drive 1/2 hour to get there on these crappy roads. Bummer! I'm going to see a perinatologist to see if they can figure out why I keep having miscarriages. :-( Sigh.

Have a great day, y'all. - Sarah

Sarah, I hope you hear good news at the Dr! My girlfriend had 5 miscarriages before her first daughter and now she has 3 daughters!

Sue, I do Winsor Pilates. I have tried a bunch of others and seem to like hers the best. I have most of them and am going to be ordering her new one with the "ring" hopefully next week. I find when I do her consistently my legs get much leaner. When I slack off from it( which I've been doing!) they increase so now I am back at it!!

We are getting a lot of blowing snow here now. I am hoping my hubby leaves work early but he's one of those men who'll drive through anything - in his little Honda Civic!

Take care- Susan

Good morning,

We're really getting dumped on in Madison. Snow and sleetish snow at the same time. On the radio on my way in they said we might have up to 10 inches by the time it ends. All schools are closed except, of course, UW-Madison, where I work :) I drove today so I wouldn't have to wait around for the bus; the roads weren't so bad.

This morning I did Circuit Max cardio and lower body on the weight portions, then PLB floor work, PUB abs, then Total Body Stretching basic stretch. If I'm motivated when I get home I might do PUB. I try to do upper body on my nonrunning days but didn't get to it this morning. I'm off work tomorrow so I might do my long run tomorrow and get it over with!

My dad is coming in from Atlanta tomorrow for my grandmother's 80th birthday party on Saturday. I didn't see him for two and a half years, and now I will have seen him three times since July. His priorities seem to be changing for the better, thankfully.

Cynthia, do you like Cardio Toolbox? It's been on my maybe-buy list for a while, but I've never heard much about it. Enjoy that weather!

Sue, good luck at the dentist. I'm glad to see that someone else likes Survivor! I've been watching since the show first started in 2000. I missed last week's episode, though, so I'm not fully invested in this season yet :)

Sarah, good luck at your doctor's appointment and drive safely. I hope you find out positive news.

Hi to Susan and Laurie and anyone who follows!

Take care,

Ellen

Thanks, Susan. I'm (cough) 35, and my husband will be 40 this year, so I'm not sure how many baby years I have left. :-( We would like one more child, so we'll see how it goes. It's all very frustrating.

Intriguing about Pilates and the leg slimming effect for you . . . I've always been tempted to try Pilates. I've been trying to do walking lunges, like Laurie, to see if it will have a leg slimming effect.

Hope your husband makes it home OK in his Civic (as a Civic owner myself!) - Sarah

Ellen, I really do like 3 segments of Cardio Toolbox. The Kickbox section isn't my thing. She does alot of kicking moves on the step. I really grew into this one. It's 4-15min. cardio sections. They are at a pretty good impact. I like it!
