Morning BB's,

This morning was Disc 31 Chest & Back. Yesterday I got in my first run with Gateway to 8k. It took me a little while to get the cadence right, but it was nice not to have to look at my watch. Took Cami with me and we had only one incident with another dog. Neither of us new that this dog was running down it's driveway until it tried to jump on Cami. Well Cami would have none of it, and the owner called the dog back to him. My protector! :D Overall it was a great interval run, and I still have to check to see how far we actually ran.

Sue, Apparently there are two different versions of those workouts that are coming out. One appears to be a 9 week program, and the other is one segment of the program. I will probably haunt VF to see how the reviews are. :D

Susan, I enjoy running outdoors in the winter more also. I just can't run in our area after it has snowed, because of the narrow country roads we have. I was run off the road once, and don't want to repeat that again.

Have a great day!

Laurie - Are you talking about the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders workouts that will have 2 versions? I did more of these workouts on Saturday and it felt like some are targeted for beginners and others are more advanced. Glad you and Cami are okay. Dog to dog altercations scare me  but maybe that's because I never had a dog so don't know what to do. My instinct would be to run away! Probably the worst thing to do. Glad you like your new running program. I give you a lot of credit for running outside yesterday. It was chilly!

Saturday - All from Exercise TV on Demand: Dallas Bootcamp (easy), Dallas Cardio (okay), Hip Hop cardio (okay), Jackie Total Body Circuit (a winner). All were pretty short except Jackie Warner's Circuit which was 45 min. I liked this workout the most and will probably buy it.

Sunday - Kenpo X

Today is a rest day.

BL Checkin today. I'm down 14 pounds and have the highest percentage lost so far. I'd probably be down more if I didn't give in on Friday and Saturday and have a few Christmas cookies. Oh, well. That's going to happen this time of year and at least I didn't use it as an excuse to keep eating badly. My goal is to lose 3 more pounds in 2 weeks. Wish me luck!

Hi gals,

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Today I did Lauren's Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning during lunch.

Laurie, nice job on you run. That always worries me when dogs come out at me. I need to make more time for workouts like you.

Sue, congrats on the weight loss and the highest percentage of fat loss. Are the workouts on Exercise tv full length? Can you just do them and not buy them. I am sure you will meet your goal. What an awesome job you have done.

Take care and enjoy your evening.

HI gang! Today was a walk and Step Blast.

Saturday was a 3.5 mile run and Sunday was Body Max.

Laurie, I hate it when dogs come out to us too! I know my Ruby is a sweetheart but not everyone's dog is!

Sue, Awesome job!! How have you changed your eating habits? Did you just clean it up a bit? My pants all feel looser, but so far I am just down the 10 pounds. I have no doubts you will reach your goals!!

I hope to get up early and get a quick run in the morning followed by BFBM. The past couple times I have done this, I have done the "music only" version without Jillians voice. I find I push myself harder when I don't hear her annoying voice! I have a lot of running around to do tomorrow afternoon so I want to get it out of the way early!

Have a great night!

Can´t believe I´m on here this am! Waiting for DD18. Did a premix of kickmax today and slept in yesterday

this weekend did a 2mi HIIT with my PINK gymboss. It worked well. I guess it must have been user error the first time, but can´t figure out what I did differently. For 20 bucks it´s fun to have.

Laurie, what is the gateway workout? sounds like I might like it

Sue and susan, congrats to both of you on the weight loss..Great work...and susan never say "only" 10 lbs!

Karen, how´s the job going? what have you found that works for you re: time of working out_?

gotta run...snow day tomorrow??????:D

Morning BB's,

I'm a little late this morning, had to go to the eye doc and spend a fortune on glasses! My lenses alone cost $250. Guess that is what happens when you can't see, and you need progressive lenses! :D This morning Cami and I went out into the "white death" and ran our interval run. :D We only ended up in the ditch once, so that isn't to bad. I think running that early in the morning there are not that many cars around. Since I didn't have to go in early I also got in Ab Circuit Stability Ball, and Basic Stretch from TBS. ;)

Sue, Apparently that Bootcamp set of Jay Johnsons has three levels that come with the DVD's. I'm interested in them more now that I saw the clips on totalfitnessdvd.com. I think they have the best clips. Still going to wait for reviews, because I'm getting Insanity for Christmas. :D Congrats on your weight loss progress, I'm certain that you will get to your goal. Good to know that the Jackie Warner DVD is good. I wasn't impressed with the last DVD that she had, couldn't take her back-up players.

Karen, A friend of mine suggested that I get some spray, just in case that happens again and I don't have my protector with me. It will take some time to figure out your schedule, I'm sure that you will have time to get things done once you get into a routine.

Susan, LOL about Jillian's voice. I have done the music off option too. :D Did you get that run in this morning, it sure was quiet with the snow falling. Cami had a great run this morning. I think that you where right it will just take some time. It helped that I took her for her normal walk when I got up, and then I got my get-up on for running. She saw me putting on my running hoodie, and got all excited. :D Small things make them so happy.

Lala, LOL about your PINK Gymboss! I'm going to have to invest $20. :D So far I have been enjoying the GW28K, it takes me a little while to get into the bpm of the music. The best part is that it keeps me at a pace that doesn't get my HR up to high, I'm in my zone through the whole time. Here is the link to the program I'm doing, and they also have a link to the podcasts. http://www.runsource.net/

Have a great day!

:DHello there! Snow! Snow! Snow!!

Did not run this morning. DS had me up throughout the night. He wasn't sick but he couldn't sleep (and neither could Mom!). Hoping he had a good day at school..... So, I was able to take Ruby for a quick walk and do BFBM.

Lala, glad you are enjoying your Gymboss! We're hoping for a snow day here tomorrow as well!!

Laurie, you sure had a great workout this morning! I am impressed that you headed out in the snow. Do you wear cleats on your feet to stop you from slipping? I love mine....

Hi Karen! Hope you are enjoying your job!

Hi Sue!

Have a great night! Susan

Hello there! I hope you all are surviving the snow. We are home today. I woke early to shovel and blow snow for 90mn. I am now going to go do Circuit Max and then probably head back out again!

Dh went to work. He had to take the back country roads but was able to follow a plow most of the way. He's hoping to get to leave early today.

Drive safely if you have to venture out today! We have 10+ inches here so far!

Karen, did you get much snow by you??

Take care- Susan

Morning All,

Well I finally made it to work, it took DH 3 hrs. to snowblow our driveway out. We took one vehicle to work, so DH will pick me up later this afternoon. The girls are home from school too. Got Disc 32 Plyo Legs finished, and another good workout. ;)

Susan, Nope I didn't have cleats on, the snow had just started, so it was actually fluffy and blew away when I stepped down.

Hope everyone has a great day!

SNOW DAY :D:D:D Did GS BSB and premix of all intervals of IMax 3. Catching up on grading and working ahead on lesson plans. Hope to finish the Christmas decorating. haven't been outside yet ;) but will probably head out to shovel.

do be careful, those of you who have to go out today.

Laurie - I'll have to checkout the Jay's Bootcamp clips on totalfitnessdvd.com. I really like the legs one on Exercise TV so I may get that. On Jackie Warner's new dvd she has different background exercisers instead of the people she works with and on the tv show. They're much better.

Karen - I'm not sure if some of the workouts are shortened from the original or just short workouts period. The Jackie Circuit one I did had to be the entire workout because it included warmup, stretch and worked every body part.

Susan - Congrats on YOUR weight loss! 10 pounds is terrific! I'm sure I have a lot more to lose than you so you're probably looking good. Don't loose pants feel great! I started dreading Jeans Day at work because my jeans were too tight but now they're loose. :D

Lala - Sounds like you had a good Snow Day. I'll bet it feels good getting caught up with stuff. Snow Day came at a good time for a lot of folks I think.

I shoveled twice yesterday and for an hour this morning. Wore my HRM to see how many calories I'd burn and it came out to 500 for that hour of back-breaking work. We had rain on top of snow so it was really wet, heavy stuff. Luckily, I'm not sore. Roads weren't too bad driving in this morning. Kids are home enjoying their snow day.

Morning BB's,

This morning I was NOT a brave girl. I couldn't bring myself to run in this cold weather, so I got on my tm and did Week 1, Day 3 of GW28K (came out to 4 miles). After work I still would like to get in the Pilates based Abs from Ab Circuit.

Lala, So did you get a lot done on your snow day? :D

Sue, I'm going to put that Jackie Warner one on my list for my SIL, she has been asking me what I would like. The price of those Jay's Bootcamp DVD's are not that bad either for the length of the workouts. Apparently there is suppose to be some type of rotation that you can download from his site. I have not checked it out yet.

Have a great day!

With the snow comes the cooold  am still wondering if I should walk Tanks or not. I usually don´t if it´s below zero and it´s very close!

This a.m. I did the 43 min cardio premix on BM2...that is pretty intense...a good 43 minutes!

Laurie, how cold does it have to get before you run indoors? thanks for the running site with the downloads. I´ve downloaded some of them but haven´t used them yet. you always seem to find all kinds of exercise sites...how do you do it???!!!! BTW: did NOT finish my snow day to do list yesterday:(

Sue, sounds like you really got hit with the rain and the snow. I shoveled for an hour yesterday and that was plenty. It sure it is a workout!

Susan, you sure had lots to shovel, too! Hope you enjoyed your day off. When I went back to school today I thought it was Monday...lovely;):)

Hi Karen!

Morning BB's,

TGIF :D Today was Disc 33 Shoulders, Biceps, Triceps. 90% of max makes you work really hard. Good workout though, and my biceps are sore right now. ;) Tomorrow I have scheduled BFBM, and Sunday is the 2nd week of GW28K. It is suppose to be in the 20's so that should be ok to run in. ;)

Lala, When I go out with the dog for her morning walk, that is what determines if I will run or not. If the wind is blowing really hard then it is a no go. I have been out in below zero, but there was no wind at all. I have gotten this running information from being on myfitnesspal.com. Lot's of people on that site run for exercise, and I thought it would be more fun to run with a bpm. So far I'm having fun with it, but then again I have only been trying it out for a week.

Have a great weekend everyone,

Did BFBM last night and Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout this morning. Last Chance is a solid intermediate workout. A lot of the same exercises as on other BL dvds plus a few new ones. It alternates cardio & strength segments the 1st 25 minutes and then it has 10 min. upper and 10 min. lower body strength. Did all but the lower body strength this morning (hope to do that tonight) and burned lots of calories.

Laurie - Thanks for the info on Jay's workouts. It's so hard to keep up with all the different instructors and dvds. It was much easier 10 years ago when there wasn't as much out there. Hope you like Jackie's workout if you get it. I want to do it again soon - maybe this weekend.

Lala - That BM2 premix is HARD! Good for you.

Have a great weekend everyone!
