Jill - Marie checks in every once in a while so she's still around. I know she bought an elliptical but don't recall if she does CC.
It's great to have you back.

I miss your humor. That slacker comment to Laurie cracked me up. Laurie is definitely NOT a slacker as we all know. Quite the opposite which is why it's so funny.
Congratulations on your weight loss. Sounds like you're on the right track. I'm still working on it. At the beginning of summer I vowed to lose 10 pounds (actually I wanted to lose 20) by Labor Day and instead I'm up 4! A lot of pressure going on at work and home. We have a weight loss program that just started at work. In fact, I have a meeting today. We were asked to come up with goals and instead of focusing on the numbers so much, I've decided my goals are to drink 8 glasses of water per day (I drink mostly coffee and diet soda for the caffeine - bad I know) and to cutout the nighttime snacking. That's the killer - snacking after dinner. It's my most stressful time of day when I'm trying to get everything done and ready for the next day. I'm making lunches and helping kids with homework as they sit at the kitchen table and some nights it seems I never get out of the kitchen! Ah! I was walking a mile every night for the first 7 months of the year which helped A LOT because it gave me a little extra cardio AND more importantly got me out of the kitchen!
Sorry to hear you had to get rid of Mace.:-( Sounds like it was the right decision at the time.
Laurie - Hey, Slacker! LOL ;-) Enjoy your rest day - it's well-earned.

Yes, I'm bummed she's not doing the boxing workouts.:-( :-( I'm sure people will be complaining about her not keeping her word. I can't blame her though. .. she announced those plans so long ago and I'm sure what's happening in the market and new technology affects her plans. I'm just not keen on following a 6 month program. I got bored doing P90X for 12 weeks! (Actually, I think I only did 8.) I know the premixes will make the workouts seem a little different but not THAT different. I hate to sound so negative off the bat but that was my honest initial reaction. Maybe I'll change my mind. Maybe there's a shorter program you can do.
Karen - I understand what you're asking

and you're right. If I knew every class was going to be intense like last Friday's I wouldn't be interested in any more classes. It sounds like the kickbox class is meant to be more of a workout vs. my regular class where they focus on teaching new skills. The only problem with the kickboxing class is that it's late - 8:15 - 9 which means I wouldn't get home until almost 9:30. I try to be in bed by 9:30 so I can get up at 4:30-4:45 and I know I wouldn't be able to go straight to bed when I got home. One of the instructors did mention that if the class becomes popular they may add more classes. Keeping my fingers crossed that they do and it's earlier.
Susan - So are you thinking of getting CC now? Seeing as how I now have a hot guy to use as my mental image, I may have to give Coach Sean a try! LOL I could use it when I got to the Y (which I'm always telling myself I should do on Saturday mornings).
Did KenpoX this morning. Fun.

Some of the moves remind me of things we do at the Dojo (sword/hammer move, upper blocks)
