Morning BB's,

Well I had a great weekend, but very busy. We painted DD14's bedroom and then had our turkey dinner. On Friday DH and I brought Cami to doggie daycare, and then put a second coat of paint on the walls of the bedroom. Then we headed out to the Dells for fun on the waterslides. We stayed at the Wilderness Resort. Each of our rooms had a full fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. It was very comfortable. The girls had a great time with their cousins, but it was nice to get home. I spent most of the day vegging in front of the TV watching football. So I didn't workout all weekend. Oh well, today is another day. I'm starting my 3rd round of P90X today. So it will be Chest & Back. I will be doing 4DS KB cardio and Ab Ripper X later tonight. I will only have enough time to get C&B in before I have to head out to DD10's dance class.

Susan, How is your DD doing today? Is her throat better or will you need to take her to see the doc again?

Jill, Congratulations to your DS on getting into Carol College. And getting a little scholarship money. I know quite a few people that have attended that college and have high praise.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Happy Monday!!

Actually, for once I'm not saying that sarchastically. I am happy it's Monday and I am back to my normal eating/exercise routine. I am only up 2 lbs., but I feel like it's more, if you know what I mean. Not much exercise this weekend cuz my back was really aching. And so much free time meant more eating than usual. So I'm happy to be back to work today.

I'll go to the gym at noon. If my back hurts too much on the elliptical, I'll switch to stationary bike.

Laurie, you've been painting like mad lately! Sounds like you had a fun weekend, and we all need a weekend off, from EVERYTHING sometimes!

Jill

Laurie - You make me tired just thinking about doing all 3 of those workouts tonight! You have pretty high endurance, girl! What color did you paint DDs room? We painted this weekend, too. Thank goodness I finally have my bathroom back. DH took off the door, mirrored cabinet and lighting fixture so I had to use the downstairs bathroom for a few days. Kind of a pain but I survived. We picked a bluish-gray color to match the subtle swirls of blue and gray in the tile. I picked out a new shower curtain that pulls the look together a bit more and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Was The Wilderness crowded? Sounds like you had a fun weekend. With everything you did though, I'd veg on the coach, too!

Jill - I don't even want to go anywhere near a scale until the end of the week. Yikes, did I blow it this weekend. At least I got some good workouts in to offset the damage - at least somewhat. What happened to your back? I must have missed something.

Hi, Susan and Karen! It seems like forever since I checked in so I'm not sure what's up with you gals. I'll check back later.

Here's how my weekend went:

Thanksgiving - A-Jock's Thanksgiving Mish-Mosh circa 2005 (minus last 3 Imax3 blasts - had to stop and get ready to drive to Illinois)
Friday - Power Hour
Saturday - Imax2
Sunday - Supersets + 1 mile walk
Monday - KPC Blocks & Kicks premix 51 min. including abs

Sue

Wow Sue you did a lot of exercise! Good for you!

I didn't mention about my back. It's a chronic problem since I fell off of a ladder about 8 years ago.

On Friday I decided it was time to get on my hands and knees and scrub the floors. That was bad enough, but I was carrying stuff down to my garbage and dropped a glass lid on the cement garage floor. So of course I had to Shop Vac the whole 2.5 garage then. 45 minutes. Ugh. So Sat/Sun was shot and I spent most of the time in the recliner with the heating pad. It's better today, but not 100%. I'm determined to get the eating and exercise back on track though. I want to lose at least 10 more pounds by Christmas, so I have no time to waste!

HI ladies! Glad to see you enjoyed your holiday!

Saturday I walked for an hour and did 45mn of pilates. Sunday I was did nothing!:p

Today is the elliptical for 45mn (heart rate hill, I think) followed by some ab work. I gained a pound over the weekend so I need to get moving it off!

My DD is better. Her throat is no longer sore but she still has a rough voice. No singing or yelling from her for a while (yeah!);-) . After school however, she said she felt sick in her tummy during school! Oh no!!

My foot is still achey. I probably should not have walked so long on Saturday!

Take care- Susan

Hi Susan. I'm glad your dd is feeling a little better. I hope she doesn't get the stomach flu now though. :(

I went to the gym and thoroughly enjoyed my time on the stationary bike with Coach Sean (CC V3). Then I did some ab work with the ball and my back feels better. I needed that workout; it actually does help because I think it makes me relax the muscles instead of tensing up, which makes my back just hurt more.

Tomorrow is my office day so I won't be around. I have to drop Sammy off at the vet on the way in. Spaying and tail chopping is the plan. I'll be worried about her, but I know she'll be fine after a few days.
Jill

Hello!

Looks like my DD will be just fine! Her tummy was better this morning!

Today is Pilates Advanced Body Sculpting.

Busy day ahead. I am actually already thinking about how nice it will be to get back to sleep tonight!

It was soooooooooo cold this morning walking the dog! That wind was awful! After abut 20mn I asked the dog if she was ready to go home and she turned down the street and said "YES!"

Stay warm- Susan

Morning BB's,

Todays workout is PlyoX.

Susan, I had to LOL about your dog saying YES. I will agree with you on the wind making it a cold one this morning. But my dog didn't say YES. LOL :7 She had her nose to the ground and away we went. :D Glad to hear your DD is much better.

Sue, We painted DD's room three different colors. Two shades of blue and then she has brown accents. The brown will be a stripe and also some circles. The light blue is the main color, with the darker blue on the top portion of one wall. She will use the blues in circles also. DH was working on it when I left for work. It does look really pretty. Sounds like your bathroom turned out really pretty. It makes me feel good to see more color on our walls. They have been the same color of beige since we moved in about 11 years ago. :D

Jill, Glad to hear that your back is feeling better. You are a crazy woman to scrub your floors on your hands and knees. I know, I know, sometimes it is necessary. :D I think your goal of 10 lbs is a doable thing. I'm holding the pom poms, and cheering you onto your goal. ;-)

Karen, Hope everything is well with you.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Jill - Sorry to hear about your back. I'll be cheering for you along with Laurie that you lose those 10 pounds. :) At least you aren't at the office everyday being tempted by all the treats. }(

Laurie - I love brown and blue together and the cirlces and stripes sound intriguing. Is this DD's design? Yours? Someone else's? How is your 3rd round of the X going?

Susan - Sounds like you have a smart dog! It was so windy this morning I thought my minivan was going to get pushed into the next lane.

Karen - Shouting out a big hello. Can you hear me all the way up there in Rice Lake? :D

Did Push Pull this morning. Been doing endurance workouts this week I haven't done in awhile and I can tell I'm stronger. Yipee! I'm not sure if I should credit P90X, BBC, Cathe or just overall consistency.

Sue

Hello ladies. Actually had a nice day at the office; got a lot done without a lot of stress for a change. No client meetings today, so that meant plenty of time for my and I to go over things. I also taught a newer employee a few things on the computer, so it was a productive day.

I just called the vet and they said Sammy's doing okay. She's just waking up. They were able to do her teeth, too, thank goodness! Now hopefully she won't have to go through anything like this again. I cringe thinking about the tail though. :(

Susan, LOL @ the dog. Who can blame her in this cold? ;) I'm glad your DD dodged the flu bullet!

Laurie, I didn't really have a choice on the floor washing. Trust me, I was not happy about it. I have laminated wood in the dining room/kitchen, and the only way to really get it clean and shiny (with no water spots) is to do it on my hands and knees with vinegar/water and a towel. I had Sammy's food/water in there for awhile, but there was just so much water everywhere I moved it to the bathroom.

I started a challenge on another board to lose 7 lbs. by Christmas. She had read that that's the average gain between Thanksgiving and Christmas-7 lbs. I was bloated from Thur/Fri still when we weighed in to start on Sat. So I'm already down 4 lbs. LOL. I set 10 as my own goal, but I might actually lose more. I've been totally stuck at the same weight for 4 weeks, and this morning was the first day I've been down in all that time. So maybe my stall is over.

I was happy to wear a size 10 business suit to work today. I remember when I bought it though; I was so depressed about buying it cuz I had gained weight (I was really thin for about a minute there). Little did I know I'd be so happy to fit in it someday!

Sue, thanks-my back is feeling better. It's still not 100% fine, but it doesn't hurt all the time like it was before. So that's progress.

I am supposed to go to a weight/sculpting class at 5:45 but I'm hemming and hawing............

Morning girls. I ended up working late and then doing yoga at home for about 40 minutes. It felt good on my back. Today I'm going to do a treadmill workout at home, then leave work a little early and go pick Sammy up. The vet said she's doing great this morning. I want to be able to give her my undivided attention when she gets home, though, so I'll wait until after work. I'm sure it's going to look funny with that stub for a tail now, but we'll all get used to it. I'm glad I can clean the blood streaks off my walls finally!

Hope you're all well today!
Jill

Jill - Glad to hear Sammy is doing well. What yoga workout do you do? I keep telling myself I need to do more yoga. Maybe next week when I'm in Chicago. Yoga's a good hotel room workout - low impact and doesn't require a lot of space.

Susan - Did your dog say "No" to a walk this morning? ;-) Another chilly one. Brrrrrr.

Hi, Laurie! How did your workout go last night?

At Dojo last night we spent the entire class sparring. Not my favorite thing but last night was fun. I was paired with my DH and we were laughing almost the entire time. It's kind of like boxing in that you're always moving around so he had to take breaks whereas I could keep going. He said he couldn't match my endurance. I was drenched in sweat by the end of class. :7

Slept in this morning and took a rest day. :)

Have a great day everyone!

Sue, I'm loving Namaste Yoga, which I've been recording from Fittv. You can buy the discs too of course, and I hear you can program them. They are only 20 minutes long on fittv, so I can do more than one at a time like last night. But it would be nice to have the actual dvds. Oh well.......this is good for now.

I also really like Rodney Yee's dvds. I have a few of those, and I have more coming from Blockbuster online soon.

LOL that you sparred with your DH. That must have been fun!

Hi BB's,

Late today because my computer at work timed our. Hope it is better tomorrow.

Just got done doing P90X Shoulders & Arms and ARX. Plan on a 30 min light run for later. Will see if I feel up to it after going to the grocery store. Have been putting that duty off for long enough.

Sue, Love the fact that you could spar with your DH. And that you are in better shape than him. :7 Now he need to get going and get more endurance. :7 My workout last night was really good. Cami decided to join me, and I only startled her once when I was doing the jump gap. Now she is snoozed out beside me, dreaming doggie dreams. :D

Jill, I understand about the flooring. Used to have that in our old house. Could never get it clean with just a mop. I'm liking my yoga too. P90X got me started on it, and I have been growing my collection. Glad to hear Sammy is doing good. They bounce back quick. Congrats on getting into the size 10 suit. Only 7 more pounds to go to your goal. GO JILL GO!! See I still have the Pom Pom's. ;-)

Have to get going and eat something before I go to the store. To much danger in not eating before I leave. :9

Talk at you later,

Laurie

LOL @ the pom poms Laurie!

I had a school meeting tonight at a local bar/restaurant with the greatest pizza. So I had 2 drinks and a couple slices and I'm sure I'll be up tomorrow. That's okay though; sometimes a splurge is worth it.

Sammy is home and doing really well. She pretty much acts like nothing is different, although she's having gas and poo issues. :( Here's how her tail looks now:

It's so small lol. But she seems okay. I can't believe she can even sit down!
Jill

Hi ladies! Sorry I've been MIA the past couple days! It's that busy time of year I think.

Yesterday was a rough one but I managed to jump on the elliptical after I fed the family. Today has to be an off day with a meeting and the Packers of course! I may try to squeeze in something while I watch the game.

My DD10 is still under the weather. Her voice is very hoarse and she has a cough. Took her back to the Dr. yesterday but they say she's fine!

See you tomorrow! Susan

P.S. Jill, Sammy is adorable! What breed is she, or is she a mix?

Hi Sue. Glad to hear your DD is feeling better.
Sammy is a black lab/springer spaniel mix. She looks like a mini lab ha ha. She's only 38 pounds (perfect size for me).
I had to put the E collar back on her today. She was picking at her tail bandages. She's just miserable with it on and can't seem to get used to it. :(

How pathetic does she look? LOL She just lays on the couch and barely moves. ETA----in case you can't tell, that IS a bandage on the end of her tail. Didn't want anyone to think it was the bloody stump!

I was on my way to the gym today when DS15's school called. They had a bomb threat. :( So all the kids were sent home and I had to go back home. I ended up doing an old Karen Voigt workout at home and really liked it. It's called Burn & Firm, 45 minutes of cardio and weight circuits. I'm glad I did it.

Can't wait for 7pm!!! Even though Romo is from 10 minutes away from my house, of course I'm rooting for the Packers. Two of DS18's football coaches are from Burlington (our head coach was Burlington's head coach before this). They quoted one of his current coaches in the Journal today saying that not only is he rooting for Dallas tonight, he's a Bears fan, not a Packers fan. Traitor!!!

Hello BB's,

Well I'm still posting from home. Picked up Cami from doggie daycare, took her for a walk, and just got done with the major portion of YogaX. I will do the stretches and meditation portion later tonight. May need it if the Packers are not doing well. :D Thinking positive thoughts on that one though.

Jill, Sammy is a cutie. And you are right she does look miserable with the collar on. :D We haven't had a bomb threat yet at our school. This is a good thing. Glad you got a workout in. I'm hoping the Packers win just to spite all the Bears fans. ;-)

Susan, Yes we are into the busy time of the year. I'm going to send your DD some healing vibes. Hope she gets over that nastiness really quick. DH came home early yesterday with another cold. I think it just lay in hiding for a little while and flared back up.

Sue, You are heading back to Chicago again. Is it for more training?

Have a great day!

Laurie

Morning Badger girls!

Well it was a let down last night for sure. :( I think we would have won if Favre hadn't gotten hurt. Rodgers did surprisingly well, and the defense finally woke up in the second half for the most part. But losing Favre always hurts.

Susan, my DS seems to have caught your DD's bug! :( I was up all night with him, from 12:30 on. He was throwing up all night long and is finally sleeping. I have a huge mound of gross clothes and laundry to wash today. I finally just stayed up at 5am, instead of going back to bed only to be woken up 20 minutes later again.

Obviously I won't be able to go to the gym today. My back is a bit sore, though, so I think I will be doing just yoga today.

Hope you all have a good Friday! My mom and I are going to a play at UW Whitewater tonight. It'll be fun. :)
Jill

Hi ladies!

Jill, I am sorry to hear about your son! I hope he feels better really quick! It sounds to me like you could use a nap!

Thanks for the good vibes for DD. She was much better this morning.
Both children were happy to see snow on the ground. We only got about 1/2 inch! They are all excited about the storm coming tomorrow though!

Today is the elliptical(Extreme Heart Rate) followed by Pilates Buns & Thighs.

You all have happy and safe weekends! I hope to get all my Christmas decorations up!

Take care- Susan
