Morning All,

Had another busy weekend, and managed to get to the gym on Friday and Sunday. Friday was a 30 min Interval and Upper Body. Sunday was a 30 min Steady State run and swimming in the lap pool with my youngest. I liked swimming with her because I could keep up. So now you all know I swim as good as an 11 year old. LOL!

Susan, I will be getting on that elliptical soon, DD15 tried it out on Sunday when her sister and I where in the pool. She told me I would like it. LOL!

Sue, The stress level at you work place sounds awful. To bad it took someone getting himself sick to make people take notice.

Lala, I should actually make myself sit down at least one night a week at our home computer, because people have asked me if I have gotten and e-mail. I hardly ever look at my home e-mail. Very bad of me!

Have a great day!

Laurie

Laurie - I don't think I could keep up with my 11 y/o in the pool so you're doing much better than me! :p I have a BlackBerry that my employer provides so I'm connected to email 24x7. Probably check it TOO much.

Actually taking a lunch today since I worked a bunch of hours over the weekend and thought I deserved a break. :D Did ME upper body premix which includes abs this morning. Yesterday was Circuit Max with only lower body weights. Saturday was a 2 mile jog/walk and raking leaves. Finally bought a decent rake. It's much easier - not sure if that's good or bad. I was burning a lot more calories with the broken rake. :p

Have a marvelous Monday.

Hello Everyone,

We had a semi busy weekend here. DH and I went down to Pleasant Prairie and did some shopping. It was busy there. We also brought out the Christmas tree to see if it is ok or not. Our basement had slight flooding this summer but all looks well. No working out at all but today I am going to work out to Jari Love.

Sue you are funny about the rake. Hope you enjoyed your lunch and I agree with Laurie you sound horribly busy.

Laurie 11 year olds can swim fast!! 11 year olds can run fast, they were passing me in our run a few weeks ago.

Hi everyone else, hope y'all had a good weekend. WOO HOO -the Packer's won!!

Good Monday! This past weekend I did some running, and raking, too! Sue, LOL re: rake, I got a new one too, and how pathetic that I was excited about it . I don´t like plastic ones, so I asked DH to find me a bamboo one and he was happy to comply. Actually finished bagging them today.
Did GS BSB today
Oh, and preorded kelly coffey-meyer´s new kickboxing. Hope I like her, she has some good reviews.

Laurie, the gym sounds fun, and hey, keeping up with an 11 yr. old is no small feat!

Dani, sometime a weekend "off" from exercise is good. Hope your workout today made up for it!

Hope everyoned has a good week.

Hi gals,

It's been so long, I forgot my password. Just got through with a bout of lice here. What a pain. Am really liking kettlebells.

Laurie, so you went and joined a gym. Good for you. It sounds like you are enjoying it. Get on the elliptical and let me know how you like it.

Sue, hope things slow down for you soon. When you don't get your workouts in just go get you broken rake and rake through the snow for a good calorie burn. How do you do Circuit Max only lower body?

Dani, Which Jari Love did you do yesterday? Yea for the Packers. It worked out well that the Bears and Vikings lost--there is still hope.

Lala, I pre-ordered Kelly Coffey's new ones also. Glad you raking and bagging is done. You can put your bamboo rake away for a year.:)

Susan, how is work going? Are you still liking Ttapp. I have to admit it is very tempting but I don't like to concentrate that hard on something. I still would like to get the book. You wouldn't think it would be that difficult to get to the library.

The lake is frozen and there is snow on the ground. I guess winter is here.

Have a great day.:D

Wow, Karen, your lake is frozen:eek:. It´s 11 degrees here, so what I officially call "cold" (30 is chilly!). When we lived in Argentina, dealing with lice was a part of my life, and the kids went to an upper-middle class school, so the idea that lice are somehow related socioeconomically is just not true, and I only mention that because until then, that´s what I always thought. Anyhoo...I remember combing through hair every night and picking the nits out one by one...truly understand that phrase now! Hope it´s over for you! And glad to have you back!

Today I´m home in bed...just wanting to sleep, was so exhausted yesterday got almost nauseaus. If I feel better later, I´ll get a workout in;)

Morning BB's,

Yesterday DD and I met with the PT at the club, and she gave us a list of exercises to do. I must say that it will be different to use these machines. I was happy to be able to learn what each one did, and how to adjust. She also told us which machines to stay away from, because she felt that they where not "safe". So I'm really liking her, and wish I could afford to hire her. LOL! :D After about 8 - 12 weeks I just might contact her to change up the program a bit!

Sue, Glad you had enough time to stop by to chat yesterday, and yes you do deserve to relax for a bit! LOL! WTG on getting those leaves raked up before this dusting of snow came along.

Dani, I want to get down to the outlet malls down in PP at some point. I want to check out the under armour store! LOL! Want to get something for under my sweats for walking the dog! LOL! Dang cold this morning.

Lala, Glad your DH was able to get you a new rake. I suppose he was happy to comply since you where the one raking them. LOL! :D Will have to check out the kb workout. Does she do these on the step too? I didn't get her last ones because of that, to hard on my knees. :(

Karen, Glad to see you back, and sorry to hear about the lice! Not fun at all I'm sure. I did jump on the elliptical for the first time last night, just for a warm up. But will have to try it out further, maybe tonight!

Have a great day!

Laurie

HI everyone!! Glad to see everyone is back and doing well!

My weekend was busy in a run errands, clean house, do chores sort of way! Saturday Ruby and I went for a 1 hour walk and then I did my 75mn T-Tapp workout. Sunday I just did pilates for 30mn. Yesterday was a 45mn walk, 35mn elliptical and 35mn T-Tapp. Today is my 75mn T-Tapp again. I am noticing my waist/tummy area is flatter and my thighs look smaller. It must be doing something!

Laurie, glad you finally tried out the elliptical! What kind do they have?

Sue, hope you enjoyed your lunch! ;)

Dani, glad you Christmas tree survived the flood!

Lala, hope you're feeling better! SOmetimes our bodies just tell us to stop and rest!

Karen, glad to see you posting again! Sorry to hear about the lice though! :( Hope you got it all taken care of! My girlfriend has been through that a few times and it was very frustrating for her.

Well, I better go workout!

See ya tomorrow!! Susan

Good Morning!

Yesterday I spent some time on the elliptical (Susan I will have to remember to check out what kind they have Precor comes to mind), really do feel that in the quads today. I then ran a mile on the indoor track, and tried to go as fast as I could. Will have to remember to bring a watch with me next time I do that. :D LOL! Then DD and went and shot some hoops, and played a little 1:1, until one of her shots got wedged into the back of the backboard! :D  We laughed quite a bit on that one!

Susan, Did you take measurements before you started with the T-Tapp? I'm so glad that you are seeing such great results from the exercises. Did your DH finally clean up your workout area?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Laurie

Good Morning,

Today I'll probably try Walking Strong on the treadmill.

Laurie, sounds like you are getting some great quality, fun time with DD.

Susan, does doing 75mn of Ttapp get long or does it seem like it goes by pretty quickly? Glad you are seeing results. Are you still eating pretty clean too?

Lala, hope you are rested up now and ready to go. It is funny how people associate lice with uncleanliness. The first thing I read on the internet when we got it was it has nothing to do with that. I made me feel better. I guess their cousin in Waukesha had just finished with lice. It must be the season.

Hi Dani and Sue.

Have a great day.

Hi there!:D

Laurie, I did take my measurements when I started and I have lost a little over 1/2 inch off my waist so far and 1/4" off my thighs, so I am happy about that! My DH is close to being out of my way. If I move a couple things aorund I probably have enough room to do KPC or CTX Kickbox, workouts that don't take up a lot of area...

Karen, Somedays that 75mn workout seems to take forever, but last night it went by pretty fast. You are right in that you do really need to focus on your alignment and posture during every exercise. I am doing my best with the clean eating. I will admit during Halloween I did have more sweets than I wanted but I am back on track! I just need to keep the focus with the Holidays fast approaching!

Today has to be my off day this week. I have errands I have to do after school and then DS needs help with book report tonight. After kids get to bed I may sneak in some pilates.

I had been slacking on wearing my pedometer lately so I put that back on the other day. it really helps me keep moving and motivated.

Have a great day! Susan

Today I did KPC. Got home a short while ago from PT conferences.

Laurie, it seems as if you are making your gym membership count! It´s nice to have that in common with DD.

Karen, who does the walking strong?

Susan, you deserve a day off! And that Ttapp sure seems to work!

Hi Dani and Sue!

Hi everyone! Another busy day. Worked 12 hours today which meant no workout so today will be a rest day.

Susan - That T-Tapping is really working for ya! ;) Good job.

Karen - I didn't know you had a treadmill! How do you like Walk It Strong?

Laurie - Does your gym have classes and if so are you going to try one?

Dani - Have you raced any 11 year olds lately? :p Just being silly. How's the X going?

I did Muscle Endurance Upper premix which includes abs on Monday. Yesterday I did a really old Buns of Steel step workout. My favorite move is called the "brush your hair" where you hop from facing one corner of the step to facing the other and do this motion that alternates your arms up and over your head, brushing your forearms against the top of your head. Probably hard to picture. Think 80s dance move. I probably look totally dorky but it's fun to do. :D

All for tonight. Going to try to get to bed early...

Good Morning,

Today I am doing MM. It's been a while since I've done any isolated muscle work. Wonder if Kettlebells are helping that or hurting it.

Susan, those are some impressive results with Ttapp. How did the book report go? Is your friend still using Ttapp also?

Sue, that is a lot of hours to work. I bet you are exhausted. Boy, Buns of Steel workouts bring back memories. They relived the 80's on The Biggest Loser Tue. night. Glad you had a good time. I have a treadmill, just not a manual one. I had to put it at one incline and stay at it for the whole workout. Of course they were changing theirs. I had on my weighted vest and held hand weights with a good incline. I thought it was a good workout. I was breathless and sweating pretty good. Don't much care for Tracey's comments but easy to ignore when your not really listening.

Lala, Tracey Staehle does this workout. KPC is a great workout. I do that one once a week. Nothing compares to it. How did PTC go?

Hi Dani and Laurie

Have a great day.:)

Morning!

No workout for me yesterday, because my family needs to eat! LOL! So grocery shopping was my agenda last night, but we will be headed to the gym tonight for a total body weight workout.

Karen, Have a great time with MM. I have not been watching BL as much as in years past. I'm having a hard time liking most of the people on this seasons bunch. They are really playing the game this year.

Susan, WTG on those measurements! LOL about those errands getting in the way of our workouts! That is what happened to me yesterday.

Lala, Bet you are looking forward to the Thanksgiving break coming up!

Sue, Yes they have classes, and I could attend any of them that I want to. Just have to decided which ones, and then get to them. I am interested in the spinning. I have seen some of the other classes, like Zumba! Now that is not something that I will be doing in the near future. I am such a klutz, and this stuff is all dance moves. LOL! Glad you had fun with the workout, bet it made you want to wear leg warmers didn't it! :D LOL!

Laurie

No school tomorrow since we had 2 nights of conferences. The conferences went well, but today in the hall a kid dropped the f-bomb on me, and I was already in a foul mood, so down to the office he went. So glad that day is over! Did GS C&T this am and walked the dog in temps of 5 degrees windchill...brrrr!

Laurie, my DH got me some zumba DVDs I´ve watched them but haven´t done any yet. They look fun and DD20 says it is a blast!

Karen, MM is a good workout. Haven´t done it in a while, though

Sue, 12 hour days :(. Yea, you deserve a rest day!

Hi Dani. Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

Hi Everyone!! I hope you don't mind that I chime in. Things have been crazy at my house. My future husband lost his job a couple of weeks ago and things got very stressful trying to figure out how we'd survive and not lose our house. Thankfully he found a job and this is his second week. We both worked at the same place and I still worry about my job with the way the economy is.

You were all talking about TTapp, what is that?

Laurie - did you ever try Cardio Coach on the elliptical or treadmill? We have an Octane elliptical at home and I have a few of the Cardio Coach CD's and they are awesome.

Lala and KayKay - you'll have to let me know how you like Kelly's new Kickboxing. I have ther Step Box Cardio Kicks and love it.

The last few weeks I've been doing Cathe's 4DS and CTX. This week I'm back on 4DS. This morning I did LIS and shoulders, calves and abs.

I'm off to bed, 3am comes way too early.

Great to see how everyone is doing.

Take Care!
Brenda

Good Morning,

I ended up doing Lauren Brooks kettlebell workout yesterday instead of MM, am I bad. Just love kettlebells.
Today I am doing KPC.:)

Brenda, glad you can join us. I am glad your husband to be found another job. That is really quick for the way the market is. Hope your job is safe. I do CC on the treadmill and the spin bike a lot. I love those workouts. That sounds like a good rotation you have going. I really like the 4DS and CTX.

lala, enjoy your day off. Whoo Hoo. Sorry someone was so mean-kids these days. Glad you sent him to the office. I do believe many kids have lost respect for adults. It really is to bad. Enjoy your Zumba.

Laurie, so eating or working out. Which one? I guess your family has to eat so you made the right decision:) You get in some really nice workouts and now being at the gym it seems like you are even more active. I don't like many on the biggest loser either. I like the mother/daughter on the black team that are left. Amy is o.k. but I can't stand the rest. It makes it hard to watch.

Hi Susan, Sue and Dani.

Hope everyone stays warm. Have a great weekend.:D

Morning!

Didn't get to the gym yesterday because DD had a headache, and was sleeping on the couch when I got home from work. So I ended up doing 4DS premix Chest/Shoulders/Triceps, 4DS Kickboxing and 4DS Abs. Overall a great workout, and I didn't have to get in my car and head out into the cold! ;) One nice thing is I put a roast in the slow cooker before I left for work, and making dinner last nice was quick!

Lala, That f-bomb must drop in school quite a bit, because my DD lets it fly every once in a while . I know she isn't getting that at home! I think my DD would like those Zumba classes too! I just can't seem to get into that type of workout. I have a hard time with Turbo Jam when Charlene starts getting into it. LOL!

Brenda, Glad you are able to chat with us. Congrats to your DH for finding a job too. Susan has been doing T-Tapp http://www.t-tapp.com/home/weightloss.asp I know my library has the book available, so if you are interested you might want to check there. I do have the CC workouts, but don't have an I-Pod yet! DD is getting a new I-Pod, so I will inherit hers and I will download all CC workouts to take to the gym. :D

Karen, So you can't resist those kettlebells! LOL! Those are the same people I like on BL too! That Vicki is just nasty! I would imagine that your DH is going hunting? Do your kids get off this whole week? My sister kids go to Gilman, and that school closes for the whole week because of hunting season. :) Our girls have to go to school two days next week.

Laurie

Today I went for a swim with itrain...Natalie Couglin´s 60 minute workout. I love to swim and always feel great for the rest of the day. Am about to take Tank for a walk. It was 5 degrees here this am :(. At least the sun is out!

Welcome, Brenda!
Laurie, working out at home does have its advantages, no? You got in a great one!

Karen, so you a enamored with kettlebells. How do you find them different than working out with traditional weights? Do you see or feel differences in your muscles?

Hi Dani, Sue and Susan.

Have a great weekend.

I am going to Appleton tomorrow to see Sleeping Beauty put on by Lawrence College.
