Morning BB's,

Today is XStretch. We have dance class tonight. Otherwise our weekend was uneventful. DD14 had a good time at the dance and after party. She worked at a Marathon yesterday. She was extremely tired when I picked her up from that.

Karen, How did the boys do in the race? Really was a warm weekend.

Sue, At least your boss warned you that she would be at the Dojo. She didn't come as a surprise to you. :D

Susan, Did you have a quiet weekend?

Have a great day!

Laurie

Morning,

Today I will attempt All Body Attack, not really in the mood for anything.

The two youngest boys got 3rd place and DH and oldest son didn't have thier best races. It was a great, warm weekend. We came back home to more rain. I am glad we got to get away. It just won't stop up here.

Laurie, glad you had a quiet weekend. Neat DD got to work at a Marathon. Did her dance go until midnight like the one here?

Hi Sue and Susan, hope you had great weekends.

Have a great day.

Laurie - As it turns out, my boss took her grandson to the dog park instead of Dojo Friday night so I didn't have to worry about being watched. Her son and DIL know who I am though now that I introduced myself so I'll probably see them tomorrow night.

Karen - Glad the weather was dry for the races although I'm sure this race was bittersweet for everyone. I didn't feel like doing anything on Saturday so decided my body was telling me to take a rest day so I did.:)

Susan - After sweating like a dog yesterday doing yardwork I'm with you on wanting the cooler weather. Hope you had a great weekend.

Saturday was a rest day. Sunday was Mega Step Blast (my 1st Cathe workout so sentimental to me) and yardwork. This morning was BBC Arms & Abs. Did both weights and cardio. The cardio was heavily modified in order to make it thru the entire 20 minutes. Got to hand it to Allison Sweeney for being able to keep up. She did better than I did.

I have a Tastefully Simple party tonight. I really don't want to go even though I always say that and end up having a great time. Hopefully I'll find something good for quick weeknight meals - always a challenge.

Found out belt testing is the same day I have to be at work for an upgrade! x( Probably just as well since it would cost $240 for all 4 of us to test at once. They do testing every 3 months so I have to wait until January unless I can make their makeup session which is when we're planning to be out of town. Guess it's just not meant to be for me.

Have a marvelous Monday!

Sue

Hi ladies!

My weekend was pretty quiet!;-) Saturday morning I did a 1 hour hike and then did Pilates Advanced for an hour. Sunday I jumped on the elliptical for 40mn(Heart Rate Intervals). Otherwise it was just housework, and errands etc.. Grumpy to see the Packers lose last night but that's over and done with and this week they'll come back!

Today I am going to do Step Jump & Pump!

I am so tired of this warm weather! I can't wait until its cooler in a few days!

Take care and enjoy your day- Susan

Hi there! I'm back again!

Hope eveyone's Monday went well!

Today is PUB followed by 20-30mn on the elliptical.

Yesterday I had to go out and get the finishing touches to my kids Halloween costumes. We have a party to go to on Saturday. My MIL sews all their costumes and they are so excited! My DD10 is Hannah Montana, so MIL made her a cropped jacket with leopard trim. My DS7 is going as Flash so she made his whole suit. She's good! I had to buy a wig and "diva" glasses for the DD and just some red gloves for DS.

Have great workouts ladies! Susan

Morning BB's,

Workout is Core Syn.

Well DH's assistant at the faire quit. DH was going to ask him to leave anyway, so that part went easy. Now he only has one more person to ask to leave his position.

Susan, The costumes sound like they are great. Only DD10 is going out for Halloween this year. She hasn't decided what she wants to do yet. For her class the teacher is requiring them to be someone from American History. I have given her lots of ideas, and she has poo pooed each one of them. Annie Oakley is really cool, at least I thought so. :D

Sue, Mega Step Blast is my first workout of Cathe's also. I have that in my rotation for next week. :D I'm trying to get some of my old workouts in. Wow the Dojo is pretty expensive. We had the same experince with swimming. You paid the fee, and then all these other things where add ons. x( How was your party last night. The food is always so good.

Karen, You had more rain yesterday didn't you? It rained down here also. And it sure cooled things off. This morning was rather chilly when I was walking the dog. Are you in the area that needed rain? My parents said that in their area the leaves where changing early because of lack of rain. Usually last weekend was peak season, but they where peaking already in September.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Laurie - Good news about the assistant quitting before your DH had to ask him to leave. I was talking with another Dojo mom last night and she said they offered her a deal where if you paid up-front for all the belts up to the black belt level, they gave you a 30% discount. She only has 1 kid though - not 2 - but still a chunk of change. Also found out if you skip belts (which my kids could do because they have previous experience with another instructor), you still have to pay for each belt! x(

Karen - Did you get your workout in yesterday?

Susan - Yeah! It cooled down. I'm happy cuz I've been sweating like crazy doing BBC. I'll bet you're glad, too. Those sound like cool costumes. I can't sew and don't have a MIL so my kids get whatever Target or K-Mart has to offer.;-) DS is going as the Grim Reaper and DD can't make up her mind and she's running out of time.

Did BBC Legs (weights only) this morning. DD had to be dropped off at school at 6:45 for Jazz Band so that cut my workout time down a bit. I'll still have DOMS tomorrow though. Dojo tonight so hopefully they'll work us hard. I think I said in a previous post that class is 30 min. With the new schedule, classes are 40 min.

Bought some yummy salsa, beer bread mix, apple cake mix, spinach dip mix and biscuit mix at the Tastefully Simple party last night.

Have a tremendous Tuesday!

Sue

Morning BB's,

Today is YogaX and then I will be back on the normal LGI8 rotation.

Sue, Oh that beer bread mix is so good. I also like the spinach dip too. :9 My mouth is watering just thinking about it. :D Wow on the cost of Dojo. I will have to think twice about what we will be doing this winter. Maybe the YMCA is the best option. The kids can get some swim time in. They love to get wet! :D :D So do you have DOMS from the BBC leg workout. That one is a good one.

Susan, Cold this morning wasn't it. I forgot to wear a hat and gloves. Have to say I wasn't happy that Cami wanted to smell everything she could this morning. :D

Karen, How are you doing? Forgot to answer about the dance. The dance went until 11 and then she went to a friends house. They stayed up until 1am. I had to pick her up at 7:30 in the morning so she could go work at the marathon. She said only one person went down. It was on the same day as the one in Chicago.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Laurie - Actually we had good news last night on the cost of belt testing. It's $60 for the first 2 in your family and then $10 after that so instead of $240 for all 4 of us, it's $140. Since we're definitely letting the kids test, we might as well test, too for $20 more. I have to go on makeup day though since I'll be at work for an upgrade on test day. YES! I have DOMS today from BBC Legs! Not as bad as last time though since I lowered my step to 2 risers for the warmup (4 is just plain crazy!) and didn't have time for the cardio. Are you enjoying LGI8?

Hi, Karen and Susan! Susan, I'll bet you had to bundle up this morning if you took your dog for a walk. It probably added a pep to your step, too.;-)

Overslept this morning but had time to do the abs from BBC Chest & Abs. Hoping to do some cardio tonight and all of BBC Chest & Abs tomorrow or maybe I'll do the chest & abs tonight and cardio tomorrow.

Have a wunderbar Wednesday!

Sue

Hi,

Hope you all have a great day. Just popping to let you know I am still around, but won't be checking in for a while. Take care.

Hi ladies!

Yes, it was chilly walking this morning! I wanted to make it a shorter walk since I failed to bundle up. BUT,the dog loves the cooler temps and wanted to just keep right on movin'. That's alright, I'll learn to dress warmer for tomorrow!

Yesterday I did not have a chance to do the elliptical so today I am scolding myself by doing the "Extreme Heart Rate" program on the machine. It is the toughest program on it. I have a love/hate thing going on with it. Hope to last 45mn! Then do some ab work.

Karen, hope all is alright in your life.

Sue, that's great news on the Dojo testing! Hope you pass with flying colors!

Hi Laurie!:D

See ya Friday! Susan

Morning BB's,

Workout today is 60 min Walk. Half done outside and Half on Treadmill (doing rolling hills)

Tonight we are going to see the production of My Fair Lady. Both DD's love this musical, so I hope it is a good one. We will be going with my MIL, SIL and niece. Probably will be getting home late.

Susan, How did your Extreme Heart Rate elliptical workout go. :) Sounds like it would be a good one. I dressed warmer this morning for my walk too. Winter coat, gloves and hat. :D Sure makes you wide awake when that wind hits you. :D

Karen, We will be here when you are able to come back and chat with us. Take care of yourself. We will miss you.

Sue, Good news on the cost of the belts. That is a much better price. :7 I agree with you on the BBC legs, I think those people are crazy to have their step up so high. I lower my step and I'm still winded from that "warm-up" :7 :7 I really am enjoying the LGI8 rotation. I like the variety. After this I plan on doing a 4-Day Split rotation for about 4-5 weeks. See how long I can go. :D

Have a great day!

Laurie

HI everyone!

Laurie, I hope you enjoy My Fair Lady. I heard its a wonderful show. It's going to be coming to my area soon from what I hear. Let me know what you think of it!

Yes, Extreme Heart Rate was a doozy last night! I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest! It takes you in intervals of 85% (max. HR) down to 65% then back up to 85% and so on. The more fit you are, the quicker you "recover", the more increases you have.

Today is CTX Power Circuit followed by stability ball section in PLB.

Have a good day ladies! Stay strong- Susan

Laurie - Your rotations are always well thought out and full of variety. Susan's, too. I've been winging it lately and need to start planning better or using someone else's rotation. My challenge is always time. This morning I had to drive DD to jazz band again so another workout cut short. I just can't get my butt out of bed at 4:30 to get my full hour in. Enjoy "My Fair Lady". We saw it at "The Fireside" years ago and it was great.

Susan - Extreme Heart Rate sounds tough! How long is it?

Karen - Ditto what Laurie said.

Last night I did a premix from Step Blast (combos 1, 2, 3) and added on 2 of the blasts. This morning I did BBC Chest & Abs (weights only).

Have a teriffic Thursday!

Sue

Morning BB's

Todays workout is Cardio Coach #3/Total Body Stretching Basic Stretch.

My Fair Lady was very good. We didn't get home until 11:30, so the girls where a bit tired this morning. I don't think that my DH's niece enjoyed the performance. I heard her at one time tell her mother that she didn't understand what was going on. My DD's understood the whole thing. They of course have watched the DVD version 20 some times as least. DH's niece enjoys performances like Wicked (which is good, don't get me wrong), and Joseph (another good one). I think she was having a hard time understanding the accent. She didn't like A Christmas Carol either. My DD's are used to the accent of course. :7 :7 That is the last time that I mention a performance that we want to see to my MIL. It would have been better if DH, DD's and I had just gone by ourselves.

Sue, I have a hard time getting my butt out of bed at 5am. And I have to because I need to get ready for work. Plus DD14 has to get up at 5:45 to get ready for her bus. So trying to work out that early would be very hard. Sounds like you are getting in some workouts though.

Susan, I loved My Fair Lady. Can't say enough good things about it. The gentleman who plays the Professor sounds just like Rex Harrision from the movie version. I really enjoyed the performance of the gentleman who played Eliza's father also. Such a great character. The dresses and hats where beautiful. And the singing was great! Loved it. :D The only problem I had was at some points I had a hard time understanding what the professor was saying. But still great.

Saturday's workout: Workout For Women Circuit Shaping. Sunday: Mega Step Blast.

DD14 has her conference meet on Saturday, and I am hoping to get the menu planned for DD14's confirmation. Need to know what I have to cook. :D

Have a great weekend,

Laurie

Laurie - Too bad DH's niece didn't like the performance. I have a a terrible time with accents, too, but can usually get the gist of what the person is saying even if I don't catch every word. 11:30 is WAY past my bedtime! LOL If you had a good time, a little lost sleep is worth it.;-) Good luck to DD14 at her conference meet! Weather should be nicer. I LOVE menu planning and reading cookbooks. :9 I usually get carried away and make way too much food though. How many people are you having?

Susan - 45 min. of a program called Extreme Heart Rate sounds tough! Kudos to you.

Last night I bundled up and went for a 1 mile walk outside. Fall is definitely here but I didn't mind because I was dressed for it This morning I took a break from BBC and did Amy Bento's Kickbox Xtreme up to combo 4. Was paged in the middle of combo 3 so had a 5-10 min. break in there. Dojo tonight. Tomorrow will be BBC Back & Shoulders. Sunday will be cardio. Probably a circuit on Monday.

Enjoy the weekend!

Sue

Hi ladies!

Laurie, so glad you enjoyed the performance. It's unfortunate the niece did not though. As they say, can't please everyone can you?! Good luck to your DD14!

Sue, it is a bit chilly out there now isn't it? This morning it was 40! As you say just bundle up, there is worse weather ahead!;-)

I walked for 30mn this morning and did Bootcamp.

Saturday is the elliptical plus I need to mow the lawn.

Sunday will probably be Pilates Power Sculpting!

Enjoy the weekend! Susan
