Morning BB's,

Sorry to be MIA for the end of the week. I didn't think that I would be so busy. My Mom and Dad came down on Thrusday, and it seemed as if I had visitors all the time. :D My brothers and sisters where over to visit on each day. Made it hard to clean the house.

DD14 came in 175th overall at the state meet. The team came in 16th and she came in 160th for the team. If I remember correctly there where about 24 teams overall. But it was extremly cold on Saturday. It was beautifully sunny, but the wind made it really cold. DD14 is paying for having just the Xcountry uniform on. This morning she woke up with a fever, cough and stuffy nose.

Her confirmation and party went really well yesterday, and I was very thankful that I ordered chicken from KFC. It saved me a lot of time. And it was a huge hit with everyone at the party. :D And the bonus is I have leftovers. :9

I didn't get in a single workout for the last four days, and I don't know what I will be doing yet. Let you all know tomorrow what I have on the schedule. :D

Laurie, sounds like you had a busy 4 days. Did you enjoy the time with your family? DD did a great job at the meet. Was she happy with her time? Were the other runners dressed warmer than you DD? Sorry she is sick. KFC sounds good. Glad all went well at the confirmation party.

Hi to Sue and Susan.

Didn't get a workout in this past weekend. Today I did Kelly Coffey cardio sculpt. I really liked the workout.

DS13 came in 2nd in cyclocross and DD12 came in 3rd. DS9 couldn't get up a really steep hill so I carried his bike up each time. He was in last anyway and it kept the tears from flowing. Cleaned the trails by our house Sun. so I can run on them. It's a little over a mile trail so I just keep going around it but it's easier on the joints than the road.

Laurie & Karen - Sounds like super busy weekends for both of you. Your kids are lucky to have moms like you to carry their bike for them and all the things you do to support them. Don't worry about missed workouts. You 2 workout harder than most people I know. :)

Hi, Susan!

Really enjoyed doing LIS on Friday. I did it 2 times skipping the blasts the 2nd time around. Even on a 4" step, I had a great workout. On Saturday I did 4DS Chest, Shoulders, Triceps premix + Back, Biceps premix. I like this type of training where you switch back and forth between body parts rather than working 1 body part to exhaustion. On Sunday I did Cardio & Weights cardio only. This morning was the 1st 47 min. of Step Fit.

I'm leaving this afternoon for Chicago so won't checkin until next week. Bought a cheap $88 portable dvd player so I could do abs and yoga in my hotel room. The hotel has an exercise facility but you never know what kind of equipment they have. Since I'll be traveling quite a bit over the next few months for training, I thought it'd be a good investment.

Passed my yellow belt testing on Saturday so now I'm caught up with the rest of my family. No more threats about carrying bags. ;-) Had to break a board with a side kick which I've never done before. This is easier than it sounds since these are special boards with a groove in the middle where the 2 pieces slide together. The trick is hitting it dead on center.

Sue, have a great time in Chicago. Is it work related? I am guessing so. Nice workouts this past weekend. LIC is a great workout. Congrats on passing your yellow belt testing. Whoo Who on breaking the board, with a groove in the middle or not. We will miss you. Talk to you next week.

Sounds like we've all been pretty busy these days! My weekend went by way too fast and I didn't get done all that I wanted but oh well!

Laurie, glad that you enjoyed time with your family! Congrats to your DD on the confirmation!

Sue, congrats on passing the test! Way to go! Hope you have some time to enjoy yourself in Chicago! We'll miss you!

Yesterday I jumped on the elliptical for a Heart Rate Hill workout. Today is Muscle Endurance.

Todays workout will be 4DS Biceps & Triceps / BC Cardio (I will be doing this as the premix).

Will be going to DD14's cross country banquet tonight. They are having Fazoli's. :9 Love those bread sticks. :9

Yesterday I decided to do Yoga Zone Power Yoga and a 3 mile run. What beautiful weather we had yesterday. Couldn't help but make that run outside. :D

Karen, Yes I really enjoyed having my family around, even though it seems like a zoo when we all get together. :D DD14 was very pleased with her time. Apparently there is this hill called the corkscrew that is full of sand, and she said it was very hard to get your grip going up that thing. She also said that two girls from the same team almost tripped her. :) My Mom and I where at the finish line watching the race, and there where so many girls falling down. As far as the clothing, all the teams where in their regular running outfits. So they where all dressed the same. DD said it was hard at the beginning because you started out so cold. Had to smile at the description of you carrying your DS's bike up the hill. I would have done the same thing. I feel envy now that you have a trail to run. I have been wanting to find someplace close to us to do the same. I don't want to have to get in the car and drive someplace, because I would never do it. :D

Sue, Congrats on getting your yellow belt. Breaking that board is great, like you said you have to hit it right in the middle. So that shows that you know exactly where your foot needs to be placed. Do you know if the upper body premix on these new DVD's does the weight work switching body parts. I haven't had a chance to preview any of the premixes. We will miss you, and hope your training goes well.

Susan, I'm hoping that this weekend we can get some yard work done. Wish the weekends didn't go by so fast. :) Have fun with ME today.

Good Morning all,

Today I did Kelly's cardio kickbox(her new one) Great workout. It was really fun and really intense.

Laurie, I love Fazoli's bread sticks also. It was a great day yesterday. I didn't get to run outside but DD5 and I went for a walk/run on the trail. She loves to run the trails too. It seems when people compete, they are all for themselves even if they have to knock someone else down to do it. It sounds like she was right in it with the rest of her team. Are you enjoying the 4 day split?

Susan, nice workout. Hope you get a chance to enjoy the wether today. Another nice day here. Hope it's nice there too.

Hi there and Happy Halloween!

The children are very excited about today. The Elementary School has a parade so the children can show off their costumes!

When writing up my new rotation, I forgot today was Halloween so I will not be doing Rythmic Step as planned. After we get home from trick-or-treating I hope to get in some pilates/core work. RS can be for tomorrow!

Todays workout is 4DS Shoulders & Core / Kickboxing Cardio

DD14's banquet was very nice and DD had some recognitions. She recieved her varsity letter, her numbers, and four awards. Freshman awards where Most Valuable and Most Spirited. Her team awards where Rookie of the Year and I think it was Most Improved.

Karen, What I have done of the 4DS I have liked. Still haven't attempted the step portions of these workouts. Probably will attempt them when I do my 4DS rotation after the LGI8 is over with. My 8 weeks have extened more than 8 weeks. Oh well. :7 :7 I have been looking at Kelly's workouts. I don't have either one of her step KB. They look like they are fun though.

Susan, Have a great time with the trick-or-treat tonight. Ours was on Saturday night. Looks like you will probably have a good night for it. Not too cold out. You are right RS can wait for tomorrow.

Laurie, are you still seeing results from your rotation? Tell Congrats to DD for doing such a great job this year. All those awards are great and only as a freshman. Wow!

Workout today is YogaX, after I do some errands after work. Loved the 4DS KB workout yesterday. My upper body is feeling really worked out this morning. I think this can be combined with the drills in Cardio Kicks or the leg conditioning drills in KM.

Karen, I have been seeing some results, but I don't know if I can attribute it to the rotation. I have been trying very hard to clean up what I eat, so I'm going to give credit to that for the 5lbs I have lost so far. I have been able to get a varitey of workouts in, and have even managed to dig up some oldies. Now that I have the new Cathe's I'm really wanting to try a rotation with those.

Susan, Did your children have a good time trick-or-treating last night. Turns out it was a bit chilly last night. I found it funny this morning that a radio station was playing Christmas music this morning. :D Guess the holiday season has officially started on Nov 1st. :D

Today I did 4DS all upper body and abs from LIS.

Laurie, have fun with Yoga X today. Glad you are doing so well on your eating. That is definitely my downfall. I could actually workout less if I would just control my eating. I really felt the kickbox workout from the 4DS also.

Susan, you had a cold evening for trick or treating last night. It was really windy here. Don't eat to much candy.

The kids had a great time trick-or-treating but I was cold and tired! They could have just kept going and going! I gave my Dh the candy we did not hand out! I don't want it in my house!

Today is Rythmic Step! I just LOVE this one!!

CTX Chest, Back, LL Abs / KenpoX is my workout for today.

Went to Half Price Books yesterday while running my errands. I found a Cathe DVD Basic Step/Cardio Fusion on the shelf for $6.98. I will give this one to my sister. I also found for the same price a DVD that I have had on my wish list. Kristen McGee's Power Yoga. For $3 I found a beginner Ropesport also. So I really felt great yesterday. My family of course thought I was a crazy woman when I sat down on the couch to read the back cover. :7 :7 :7

Saturdays workout will be CTX Biceps, Triceps, Shoulders / Kathy Smith Peak Fat Burning and Sunday will be Leaner Legs / Stretchmax #1 / SJP Premix #3

I'm hoping to get out in the yard this weekend to do a final clean up of the yard. Now that the frost has hit I'm hoping I can kill off some brush in our treeline. Might make some apple crisp also.

What plans do you all have for the weekend.

Karen, Are you off for a cyclocross weekend? Hope I spelt that correctly. :) One thing I am glad of is that DD14 doesn't have a meet this weekend.

Susan, Isn't it amazing that the kids are like energizer bunnies. This candy thing only happens twice a year (Easter), so I don't mind the candy the kids get. They are very frugal about their candy.

Morning,

Today I did Amy Bento's hi/lo, no dome. It was a fun workout. I am really starting to like her.

No workouts for the weekend as I will me in Waukesha for another cyclocross race. The entry fee is paid for this one by the team that is putting it on. A lot of people trying to get kids involved. I also get to see my brother and his wife.

Laurie, you are so funny, reading the back of you new dvd's. I would do that too. I want Kristen McGee's yoga too. Is there a half price books located near Waukesha? You sure got some good deals. It looks like you have some great workouts planned for the weekend as well as some outdoor work.

Susan, how is your new rotation going? Are you seeing more results? I am planning on Rhythmic Step next week. I also love that workout.

Karen, There was one of the Power Yoga DVD's left. It was at the HPB by Southridge Mall. I'm sure that your brother and SIL would know where that is. I know there is a HPB in Brookfield (which isn't far from Waukesha), but I don't know if they have that DVD. You could call them when you get down here.

I'm back!

Everyone is probably already "checked out" for the weekend but thought I'd say hi. I was at a class in Chicago with my boss and another gal this week and my boss didn't leave me a lot of free time. We worked one night after dinner and on the Amtrak to Chicago. At least she let us leave after we got back at 1:00 today.

Laurie - I haven't done the Upper Body premix so I don't know if it alternates body parts like the upper body splits do. I'm guessing not because otherwise it's just like combining the other upper body premixes into 1.

Susan - I thought of you as I did the elliptical at my hotel this morning.:) That is such a deceptive piece of equipment. I don't feel like I'm working hard but I check my heartrate and I'm shocked how high it is.

Karen - Are you going to get your Cinnabun coffee when you're in Waukesha this weekend? I had a pumpkin spice latte this morning. :9 I think I better stick to my normal coffee though. This one had whip cream and I forgot to ask for skim so probably whole milk. Yummy though. . .

HI ladies!

Today is Legs & Glutes! I am enjoying my new rotation. I have lost 4 more pounds so I am happy. My DH said my Abs and rear are "shaping up nicely" LOL!

No big plans for my weekend. I am in a wedding next weekend and there are a few odds and ends I need to go and get. The wedding is in Racine!

Sue, I agree about the elliptical being deceiving! I hope you enjoyed it!

I love Pumpkin Spice cappucino myself! I treat myself once a week to it!
