BUFF BADGERS 1/28 - 2/1

Laurie - our dog doesn't like being out there long when it is cold. He starts hopping around on 3 paws and is quite good and fast at running in the house doing this.

Jill - will that hurt the elliptical being in the garage with the cold now and later the hot?

Well I did not get my workout in today. I was going to do it-I even put my shoes on and got my step out and my Cathe dvd (I can do easy step in my living room so I was going to do Basic Step). And wouldn't you know, it was then that our IT guy got to the office and needed me to be around to log in and out of our server. Grrrr. I guess I have to realize and accept that I cannot exercise every day and things just come up. I did good Mon/Tue and will get up early again tomorrow and do weights.

Marie, I hope the machine is okay out there. I dont' know for sure, but I don't have a choice. I don't have a basement here so I'm lacking in space. In a few years, once DS is older, I may take over his room for a workout room. But that's a while yet.

Laurie, on a day like today I can see why people buy those little coats for their dogs. Sammy runs out, pees and runs right back in!

Sue, you're probably gone and will find this out on your own........tonight isn't the premiere. It's the Looking Glass episode-the last one from last season. Tomorrow at 7pm is the recap, with the new episode at 8pm. I can't wait! I'm so glad it's back to 8pm again, although changing nights is never a good sign.

I'm back to work now after the break with the computer guy and then I'll be able to relax a bit and watch Lost. :)

I'm going to get up early again tomorrow (I hope!) and then a quick shower and I have it easy. I'm going to my sister's in town before the office to have my hair colored and trimmed. It's winter, so I'm going with a darker color. I'm tired of having dark roots!

Day 34 of 12 Week Challenge

Susan - Thanks for the info on Winsor. That Maximum Burn sounds interesting! I'm strongly leaning toward buying dvds on my wishlist instead of preordering STS so this may be one of them I get.

Laurie - Did your girls do any of the chores on their to-do list? DH stayed home with our kids yesterday to make sure they did things other than veg out in front of the tv or pc all day.

Jill - Thanks for the heads up on Lost. I watched about half of last night's episode but it's on DVR so I can go back and watch the rest of it. I liked the pop-ups they had explaining who different characters where. It was a nice refresher. Bummer you didn't get to workout. I hate it when I get interrupted when trying to workout. Next time tell the IT guy that your hot water heater is leaking or something and you'll have to call him back later! LOL

Did BM2 Cardio Blast (62 min.) last night. This morning I did GS-CT Timesaver because I had to drive DD to Jazz Band. Going to do some abs tonight (probably during the commercials while watching Lost!)

Sue

Morning BB's,

This morning I did Chest & Back. Later tonight I will do a 30 min KB workout and then Bootcamp Abs.

On our walk this morning Cami and I smelled a skunk! I thought skunks hybernate during the winter months? Again Cami thought that she needed to track down this animal too. Absolutely NOT!!!! :7 :7

Jill, Dang on not getting that workout in, but today is another day. :) I was thinking of those dog coats, because I could see frost appear on Cami's back as we where walking. And she probably would wear the coat too.

Sue, Thanks for the info on the chin-up bar. I was looking at our basement yesterday, and that bar might just work for us too. I will need to talk to DH about mounting it. I'm getting excited now, because that is a cheap way to get a bar up in the basement. :D It would be where two studs are too. Since I can see where all the studs are in our basement. :7 :7 :7

Marie, What types of workouts do you plan on trying to test your ankle/foot?

Susan, Hope you are having a great day! Thanks for the info on Winsor, will pass along those workouts too.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Laurie - I believe DH said 40 inches was the maximum width the bar would extend so hopefully that works for your space. My Woody Bands arrived in Milwaukee early this a.m. so I hope to get them today or tomorrow. :7

Sue

HI everyone! this is my scheduled off day cuz I have meetings to get to but I might try to and squeeze in something!

Hope you're all doing well! Gotta go!!

;-) Susan

Hi girls!! I had to work at the office today so no workout. Two days in a row! However, I am going to amp things up in February-my birthday present to myself is going to be to "let" myself take the time I need for exercise. That means about 1,000 minutes this month. :)

I got my hair done-oy, it's red!! I let my sister pick any color she wanted and she mixed Copper Brown and Copper Blond and came up with it. I think it looks good but you know it's so drastic I think I need some time to adjust to it. I keep looking at myself in the mirror lol. Not in a vain way, but because it's so shocking.

The only good thing about not getting my workout in cuz of the IT guy yesterday was that he was able to get all of my old emails and contacts restored. I was sooo happy.

Sue, I liked those popups too-kind of cute and some were really funny. I am so excited for the new season tonight!

Laurie I thought skunks hibernated, too. Maybe he was confused because it was so warm last week ha ha.

I need to get some more work done and then, in less than 2 hours, I will be planted in front of my television watching LOST!

Jill

Day 35 of 12 Week Challenge

Jill - Did you watch Lost last night? As usual it made you ask more questions than it answered. I don't want to say any more than that until I know if you watched it. Do you know how many new episodes they're showing? Hope you get your workout in today.

Laurie - My Iron Woody Bands came yesterday! Only 2 days after I ordered them all the way from California - not bad. I tried the biggest (easiest) one out first and yep, they work - I can do chinups now. :7

Susan - Looks like you lucked out and missed the snow we had overnight. About 4" at my house. Laurie and Jill probably got more.

Got up early this morning to shovel snow. For the heck of it I wore my HRM to see how many calories I'd burn. About 370 in just under an hour so not bad. Unfortunately, that's all I get to do today. DD12 has a parent/child retreat at church on "How to communicate with your teen" (she turns 13 in April). It goes until 9:00 tonight and I'll be too tired to do anything afterwards.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Sue

Sue, I already watched it twice! LOL. Yes more questions........how did Hurley get off the island if he chose to go with Locke? If Sawyer stayed, who was Kate talking about to Jack at the airport when she said "I have to go, he's waiting". Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Wow that's a lot of calories to burn for snow shoveling. Good for you. Here in my little corner of Walworth county we got about 6 more inches. I heard last night that we now have more already than our average for the whole season. Wow.

I went to the gym this morning. Yay me! I will be doing some yoga later, too, so I"ll have at least an hour of exercise in today to start the month. :)

I have to go do an online bank training thing now. I'm sure it will be totally boring. Our bank is being bought by National City and I do all of our payroll and client payments electronically, so apparently I have to do this training thing. If it's boring I"ll quit and figure it out somehow lol

HAGD and have a good weekend if I can't get back!
Jill

Jill - I want to know who the "Oceanic 6" are! We know Jack, Kate and Hurley are 3 so who are the other 3 that got off the island? And does that mean the rest are still on the island and that's why Jack keeps saying he wants to go back or are they dead? And who was in the coffin? Locke? Ben? Maybe the 2 groups separating had nothing to do with who was chosen to get off the island and who wasn't. That's assuming the "Oceanic 6" are 6 people who were rescued. Other questions I have: Does Penny ever find Desmond now that she knows he's alive? What was in that house that Hurley saw? Is Charlie really dead? If I get time this weekend I'm going to visit the forums and see what people are speculating. It's always interesting to read people's theories.

Sue

I hope I can find time for forums, too. That's always fun.

I thought of another one..........what did Dead Charlier mean when he kept telling Hurley "they need you". Who? Where? UGH it's so confusing!!!!!!

You asked: What was in that house that Hurley saw?

I assumed that was Jacob in the chair but I couldn't figure out whose eye popped up in the peep hole.

Was that Locke's eye? He appeared to Hurley right after that so that's what I'm thinking. That would mean he was in the house with Jacob. Well, now that you remind me what Charlie said to Jacob I'm thinking the other survivors must be still on the island!

Morning BB's,

Todays workout was Bootcamp Blast and KB Blasts with 1 min rest between blasts. It was lots of fun, and I found the terminator climbers to be easy. I usually am exhausted by the time I finish those things. :D

Well I found out that skunks do not hibernate. Go figure!!!

Jill & Sue, I'm totally LOST!!!! :7 :7 :7 Just thought I would add that since I don't watch that show. :7 But I like how you both are speculating. Kind of like when the DD's and I watch Heros. :D

Sue, I did purchase the pull up bar, and it fits in the place that I was hoping to put it. DH said he would hang it up for me tomorrow, so I'm doing a happy dance right now. Will see how I do without the band. May have to purchase that too. :)

Jill, That is what happened to me when I first dyed my hair red. My normal color is a dark brown, so going red was a shock. Now I think my roots are a strange color. :D Way to go on setting a goal!

Susan, Hope you have a great weekend.

We had about 6-8" of snow this morning. It was really hard to walk through. I was so happy when the snow plow came through.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Sue I don't think that was Locke. I rewound it three times---it's not a blue eye, I think it's hazel.

http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/index?pn=index
Check out the previews for next week. Holy mackeral. They are IN TROUBLE.

Laurie, you have no idea about Lost if you haven't watched it-I'm sure that's true! It's totally confusing even for those of us that have seen every episode (at LEAST two times in my case!). It got even weirder now that there are flash forwards as well as flash backs. And we don't know WHEN anything happened...........crazy!

Jill - You are too funny! LOL I'll have to watch that when I get home. Too many people walk by my desk here at work.

Sue

I just spent the last hour reading stuff online! MAn you can get so sucked in! I had to close everything up cuz I couldn't work with it open in the background. You could literally spend all day reading stuff online about the program.

The one interesting thing I did read in two different places was that Jacob looks suspiciously like Christian Shephard. My head spins!
