I can't eat a lot of baked goods because I don't tolerate wheat very well, and I recently tried a new brownie mix and it is soooooo good my honey just raved about them and I gave him some to bring to work. He didn't tell anyone they were "special" brownies, meaning wheat and gluten free, and everyone went nuts with them.
I bought a bag of Pam's Ultimate Brownie Mix (should be available at any Whole Foods or health food store and I ordered it from Homegrocer.com) and made just the normal recipe. She uses rice flour instead of wheat flour, molasses and honey instead of sugar and it has chocolate chunks in it made with honey. But I promise you they are sinfully amazing! So I found a treat I can have that's really rich and moist without bothering any food allergies I have. But my hubby can tolerate wheat, etc and he said from now on that's his favorite treat.
Her pancake mix is amazing, too. So try them out if you want some really wonderful homemade brownies and pancakes, or if you're like me and have to be selective about treats but still like to satisfy the sweet tooth sometimes.
