Broke my foot, need help

I broke my foot a almost two weeks ago. I am finally off crutches, but still have a boot that goes all the way up to my knee. I was wondering what type of exercises can I do? I was just getting back into working out when this happened and am frustrated that I have already had to take two weeks off because of this. I realize that I can't do any step routines for awhile. I get the boot off in 3 more weeks. I don't have gym style workouts, but I do have many of the others. Can you give me some suggestions on what would be the best for me to do for now? I appreciate any responses. Thank you.

Kate, I'd follow your doctor's orders and stay off the foot as much as possible. The more you're on it as it heals, the longer you'll be in the boot and the longer it will take to heal. (I know, I ran 18 miles on a stress fracture and it took more than a year to feel "normal." A YEAR! :p)

That said, which workouts do you have? Are upper body premixes available on the ones you have? I expect upper body will be primarily what you can do, right?

I'd just stick with upper body and core work if I were you. There's no point in trying to push it, and then maybe messing it up and being set back even longer. Your foot needs time and rest for it to heal.

Trust me. I speak from experience. :p

Thanks for your replys. I plan on keeping off the foot as much as possible. I am, however, glad to have the walking boot instead of crutches. As far as what dvd's I have I have most of the last series that Cathe has completed except for Hardcore and gyms style. I will take your advice and look through the ones I have for upper body and core.

Thanks again.
