breaking up...is this typical?

So I ended my relationship a little over a week ago. I know it was the right decision and I had had enough. It kind of all feels surreal to me. I kind of can't believe I actually ended things and that I am now single again although I don't particularly feel like dating. Even though the breakup didn't all happen overnight I kind of feel like it did...if that makes sense. Its an odd feeling.

It's always refreshing to see a person who knows when a relationship isn't working out and doing something about it. It's so awful to waste time like that. Congratulations!

Good for you. I think I can speak for alot of us who have been here answering your posts about your ex-when I say, "Yes!" This is a very good thing, you will find the right guy when you are ready.;-)

It will be hard at first, but like they always say, "when one door closes, another one opens"...in the meantime, go out and have fun with your friends:7
 
You almost feel relieved that is over...I felt that way a few times in my life. You are ready to go have some fun. There is somebody right waiting for you.

Ending a relationship is hard even when you know it is the right thing to do. Just feel with you need to feel and in time you will be fine. I just saw my old boyfriend tonight and it was strange to say the least. He had to give me 2 hugs which I thought was weird since he is seeing someone else. I felt really good though...like I have finally moved on.

Well, thanks for everyone's advice as I've tried to figure out what was right for me. And, I did feel a sense of relief when I had finally made the decision.
