Bravo TV's Work Out

Does anyone else watch this show? It's pretty amusing. I happened to catch it when they were running a marathon of the previous season, then I had to find out what happened.

Anyway, I saw it the other night and was wondering (for anoyonoe who watches it)...

If Jackie (the gym owner) and Cathe were in the ring together, who do you think would win? I TOTALLY think Cathe would kick Jackie's A$$!!!

LOL! I watch the show...yeah, it's pretty good mindless amusement. Maybe the two could tagteam against Amy Bento & Jari Love.

*sits down to munch popcorn*

I'm not gaining weight. I'm retaining food.

Yes, the love life was entertaining. The reaction from her staff when she and Rebecca were together was fun... especially Jesse.

OMG...I hate Rebecca!!! What the heck is Jackie doing?!?! I think Jesse was spot on...Rebecca is an attention-whore and it's inappropriate for Jackie to be with her. Although, I am just glad Mimi is no longer around because I absolutely couldn't stand her (way more than Rebecca). What an immature person! Then again, you have to wonder why Jackie spent so long with her. She obviously has issues.

I LOVE Erika!!! She looks exactly like Angelina Jolie and is SO hot!!!

It IS a fun, mindless show.

Okay, I am going to be really emabarassed I am admitting this, but does anyone watch "Real Houswives of the OC?" Another very guilty pleasure (as is Dr. 90210, but I won't go into that...).

Okay, I watch WAY too much TV!!! Thank goodness for TiVo!!!

Lorie

BTW...I still think Cathe would kick Jackie's A$$!!! Not to mention, any of the other trainers!!!

CATHE RULES!!!

This is the only reality show I watch and I must admit, I'm addicted! I never cried so much watching a TV show than I did last night watching the last episode of Work Out, with the cast talking about Doug's passing.

On a lighter note, I agree with the other poster, I can't stand Rebecca!!! As much as I love Jackie (I hope she puts out a fitness video some day!) I think she has terrible taste in women. Rebecca is a media-whore, always mugging for the camera and/or pouting like a spoiled child. She's worse than Jackie's ex. And I couldn't stand her either!

<<Although, I am just glad Mimi is no longer around because I absolutely couldn't stand her (way more than Rebecca). What an immature person! Then again, you have to wonder why Jackie spent so long with her. She obviously has issues.>>

OMG, what was up with the biting? Why did Jackie put up with that? The reunion show should be interesting. Did you know that Mimi is one of the iTrain trainers?

<<I LOVE Erika!!! She looks exactly like Angelina Jolie and is SO hot!!!>>

She does remind me of Angelina Jolie, but she is fit not skinny.

I watch the "Real Houswives of the OC", Dr. 90210, the list goes on.

:D

I saw a couple of episodes, but I don't really get the premise of the show. Are the trainers in competition with each other? It seemed to mostly be about Jackie's personal life and business ambitions. Sort of reminded me of the show about that real arrogant guy on Blowout.

Watch the recent episodes. They were very emotional. I always thought Doug was the nicest one of the bunch. He never thought he'd live past the age of 44 and he died a few weeks after his 44th birthday.:-(

BTW, to answer the original posters question. I think Cathe would kick Jackie's butt. Jackie parties too much. I don't think she would last as long in the ring.

ETA: and while she's at it, she should knock Rebecca on the arse too!}(

I don't see Cathe even getting in the ring! I think she is much less aggressive, and doesn't feel the need to be aggressive, so she wouldn't fight.

I think Jackie would fight. Absolutely.

I think Jackie would feel like there was more on the line in any fight and might win only on that basis. But I wouldn't want to spend time with Jackie like I would with Cathe...

LOL did you see her doing yoga the other day??? What a crack up! Or at least the editing was really entertaining, LOL!:+

I watched all the episodes as well. I thought it is a wonderful show and I LOVE Jackie. She has so much heart and passion for changing peoples lives. She just exudes that desire to better herself and anyone she can reach.

Doug - man - what a wonderful person and such a heartbreaking loss. He is the guy that you think you have known forever. How incredibly sad that he knew he would not make it to 45 and has watched every other family memeber die. I think it is wonderful that his ashes are going to the same place that all of his other relatives did. I think is ex Cheo said they had made 8 trips to spread ashes of his family members. 8!!!! Wow!!! Mom, Dad, Grandma, Sister...

Not that I should admit I even do this as well :) - but I have read the trainers blogs on bravo.com. I think Jackie has surrounded herself with some great passionate trainers and interesting to get their take on how everything was protrayed when the show was actually edited together. Good reading.

Hmmm...I am not sure about Jackie's genuineness. I kind of see her as more of an oportunist (which is probably why she likes Rebecca). I think Jackie is also very insecure (why else would she have put up with Mimi for so long?!).

I can not believe Mimi is an actual trainer!!!

The whole Doug thing was really sad. I remember reading about it, but I didn't watch the show yet, so it kind of blew by me.

So, trainer's blogs? I am going to have to go check that out!!!

Here's to mindless TV-watching!

Doug died from complications from lymphoma, which is what both of his parents died of at age 43 (I think). Basically, his kidneys shut down. His sister, and only sibling, died in a car accident, so he had no family left.

I too was very touched by his story. The trainers seemed so sincere, especially Peeler, when they remembered him and talked about what a sweet person he was. I hadn't realized it before, but he really was always so kind and full of love. He seemed to always be hugging someone, listening and giving advice, and he really reached out to his clients in such a kind and inspiring way. His loving spirit came through so clearly, maybe because he had experienced so much loss and was aware that he didn't have too much longer. What a strong person he was. Instead of being depressed and bitter, he just tried to spread as much kindness and love as he could as he neared his too early end.
