Bowflex

I don't have one but my mom does. I am a personal trainer and I give her workout programs using the bowflex. I don't really care for it. I think you can do much better with dumbbells and bands. My mom likes it, because it is relatively easy. Anyway, I am always up for anything that will make it more fun and interesting to workout.

I do and yes I love it. We bought ours about 4 years ago and have gotten a lot of use out of it. It was worth the investment. I go through periods of not using it but mostly because of different weight lifting programs. So right now since I'm doing STS I'm not using it but DH is using it alot. With that said, we know someone else who bought one and they haven't used it more than a week (after a couple of years)! But they are not as committed to fitness as we are.

We actually bought this used from someone who never used it. It was like brand new and we paid 1/2 the price. So if you are going to buy one, you might want to check the ads!

Oh, I should also add. I don't use it for biceps and triceps and some other exercises as I prefer dumbbells. But we have the lat pull and the leg attachment so I use it more for exercises I don't have equipment for or for chest when I want to go heavier and no one is around to spot me.

I use this more to compliment all my other bijillion pieces of equipment that are all over my house! :D But, DH uses it for everything except biceps.

Thanks for the input. Someone I work with is selling for almost 1/2 price. Sounds like a good deal. I also use free weights but thought variety might help.

Yeah, you know, I would never use it like they push on the infomercials. For me, it's just another alternative piece of equipment, just like how Cathe adds bands with weight work. I use barbell for this, dumbbells for that, Bowflex for this, bands for that! The possibilities abound! :D
