Blog for rating Cathe DVDs

Hello!

Last week I was browsing through my Cathe DVD collection and suddenly got this marvelous idea. Maybe I could create a blog and put all of those hard-earned Cathe workouts there and start rating them so that others can find these great workouts. I first planned to write it in my native language, but then decided to try first in English (as it seems that there aren't that many Cathletes in Finland). :)

I have been doing Cathe workouts about ten years already and typically bought them on a pre-sale as soon as available. I usually do 4-6 Cathes per week so that makes a lot during these past 10 years! ;)

I would love to hear your comments about my blog/idea so far www.dohiit.com - and especially if you have some great additions and proposals. Feel free to add some ratings if you wish. I need to add more details for each workout, but the idea of the blog should be visible already. Probably there exists already something similar in the web (at least in Shop Cathe), but I will keep it updated at least until I have reviewed all my workouts there.

That sounds like an AWESOME idea :) I would definitely spread the word! And use it myself! That's so great of you :)

Just looked at the link. You've done such a wonderful job on this!! It looks awesome. i'm very excited :D:D

i like this idea too. the ratings are more detailed than i've seen previously. and different than individual reviews/comments.

how are you rating them objectively, or are you asking large numbers of people to rate them?

I wish that as many visitor as possible will give his/her ratings so that eventually we would get 'objective' rating for each workout based on numerous ratings from different people. That's probably the only way to get somewhat objective results.

I defined those rating categories based on my ideas what would I want to know about workouts. It is a bit hard to rate 'videoquality', 'music' and the only measurable thing is the 'burned calories'. Maybe some of those categories could be removed or replaced by some better categories?

I am not a professional so I can't rate them properly / objectively. I have experience only from Cathe DVDs, so I don't have any other references than other Cathe DVDs. Maybe that's not so good base to start "ranking webpage", but it will be fun to try. :D I can add other instructors there and have even more workouts and complete cross-comparison charts e.g for kickbox workouts. That would be even more fun, I guess... ;)
