Biochemical benefits from exercise

Most everyone is interested in how long it takes to see a difference in their physical shape after starting an exercise program. I am curious about how long it takes for exercise and good nutrition to affect the inside. I was recently dx with mild PCOS (basically, my body is producing high levels of insulin but I'm not diabetic, and messing with my hormones, but that's another story).

I'm on medication but I need to start exercising REGULARLY and eating better. I've read exercise helps in reducing excess insulin levels along with other wonderful things. I was wondering if anybody knew approximately how long it takes for the body to improve on a biochemical level.

Thanks.

I think I should look for some solid research on this; it's an interesting subject. For now, I’ll answer from my own experience. Exercise boosts your endorphins, which make you feel good immediately. I would say within a week, you will notice that you felt better on the days you exercised than on those you did not. I’ll post again when I find some evidence…
