Good morning....just starting a thread so we have one. Be right back with my 'real' post!

Gayle

Good morning....when I first started the first post this AM, it was titled "GFL". LOL Maybe GAYLE for Life??? Figured I'd better fix it so I don't confuse anybody too early in the day!

I posted last night before bed, that my first coat of real paint is up on the wall. But it looks like I need to put another coat on it. I'm not the world's greatest painter, so that may have something to do with it! The kids LOVE the color, and so do I. I'll hit the store today and put the second (and LAST) coat on this afternoon. I'll post pics once I'm all done!

Kerry-I set my alarm for 4:45am. I like to be in my basement (aka my workout area) by 5:15. I've been making it by 5:30ish, so I'm happy with that. And yes, it does sound like we have a lot in common!

HOW ARE YOU LADIES FEELING??? I'm always ALWAYS amazed at how good you can feel from just a FEW days of eating clean. The bloat starts to subside and your confidence returns.

Today's HIIT workout is done! Did it on the stationary bike and got an awesome leg (and heart) workout. I'm sporting some good ol' DOMS in the legs, but once I got going it wasn't so bad! I followed it up with B&G bonus abs and Stretch Max on the ball. I'd really like to include as much stretching as possible with this 12 week challenge. Flexibility has never been one of my strong points, so that's a mini goal for me!

Today is pretty quiet for us. The kids will get on the bus, and I will probably head to Home Depot for my paint. Then I'll walk to and from work/school (I work from 10 till 1). Then home to start the other coat of paint. Sometime today, I need to prep a bunch of food again. I hit the grocery store last night during the kids' CCD classes (they call it PREP here now), so I'm stocked up on eggs, wraps, tuna, chicken, shrimp, etc.

BBL sometime to check in with you all!

G'Morning Ladies :)

Hey Gayle, once your done painting, can you drive over to my house ... LOL :) I have been meaning to paint for months and the can is just sitting there. I guess I better get moving.
What color did you paint it?

Got a good LBWO in last night. Decided to do BBC Legs. WOW, what a workout..I was dripping sweat, she really kicks your arse! But, I can see in between the DVD, the music tends to get louder and you can hardly hear her.. Def. not the quality of Cathe!! :)

My knee started to flare up right at the end of BBC, so I had to stop. It was at the part where she had you doing the jumping jacks and such...
My knee is still swollen, going to contact the doctor again this morning and schedule a appt. Last time I was their they DX me w/ OrthoArthris...
Seems worse this time around, even when I wasn't working out I started to get sharp pains and giving out...It didn't do this before. Any ideas?

Tonight is my Kohl's orientation. I probably won't get in a WO today. Will keep my eating clean. Looks like I might have to skip the high impact, and stick w/ the stationary bike/elliptical/power walk on treadmill.

Enough of my babbling..How is everyone?

Gayle, you are right on about feeling better with eating clean. I am feeling much better after eating regular, healthy meals. I'll be back to post after I get my workout in!

Good morning :)

Rotation: MIS/week IV
Am: 30 minutes jog & MIS upper body/completed

Boy do I need to go to grocery store today, always fun factor, huh! Anyhoo, I put together a rotation that will allow me to have my evening FREE. I won’t be doing doubles as I most times do, well, maybe one or two a week, if that. As of Monday I’m moving on to Slow & Heavy and going to add 2 upper body workouts from the P90X series. I’ll check back shortly.

Eatery
M1: 2 tbsp flax & ff yogurt
M2: 3 egg whites & wheat english muffin w/tbsp of cheese
M3: 2 scoop of soy protein w/10ozs H2o
M4: 3 tenderloin chicken strips & cabbage (couldn’t eat after dentist appt)
M5: hm…not sure

Good morning ladies!

Gayle, I started painting my house in July...and I have 2 rooms done, and 2 started, but not finished! ACK! I might just finish thanks to you!!

I went to the gym this morning and did flow. Which is taichi (sp??) and yoga, and pilates in one class. I feel great. Then I did day 2 of the couch to 5k plan with my friend. My hips hurt so much, but i'm working through it!

Breakfast was:
3 egg whites
2tsp EVOO
2 corn tortillas
gatorade from my run.

I am about to go back to sleep...till the kids wake up. I was up at 5, did an hour flow class, then 25 min cardio...i'm exausted! I'm sure working out then sleeping isn't the best idea, but I'll crash mid day if I don't get some rest. Since I meet a friend at the gym, i don't sleep well at night cause I am so scared to oversleep!

I"ve been eating the south beach diet meals for lunch. High protein, some carbs, and some fat. Tell me those aren't bad for me!

Jessica

Good Morning Sunshine's,

I have been up since 4am. Don't ask why I keep waking up so early I just do. Birds...light I don't know.

Have had 1C coffee and began the morning as usual driving Miss DD to the train station then off to the middle school with my son.

Came back home to vacuum, do the dishes and start on the first floor bathroom cleaning.

As the Dow bathroom cleaner sits I am eating my bowl of oats w/raisans and honey and checking in with you all.

My legs are a little sore from the PLB workout yesterday. I also went for a fast paced 3.5mi walk with my friend in the afternoon. So this is probably why.

Gayle: Going to try out the t/mill workout you posted on Tues. I will get back later to let you know how it went. I hope my legs aren't so stiff from yesterday that I can't move!:D

S: yogurt and a fruit
L: Chicken sal.
S: Protein shake
D: Salmon & steamed veggies.

DON'T FORGET THE WATER!

Have a great day,

Jessica, check and see how much sodium is in the meals, they may have a lot.

Well, my knees are still bothering me but I did get in a Tae Bo workout. I just don't get as much out of them as I used to, which is disappointing. I am in the process of maybe getting an elliptical. My parents have mine with them in Nebraska and I think they use it regularly. I don't want to take it from them if they are, so I might have to buy a new one. I need something that will give me an excellent cardio workout with little to no impact on my knees and I do love the elliptical.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Late Morning Ladies,

I have not worked out yet this morning .I will do it a little later. I am sore in my hamstrings and the area right under my cheeks from yesterdays PLB workout. It feels real good. You all have inspired me to get my work out in since some of you have already done it and I don't want to be the one skipping out on this challenge just because I don't feel like working out or because I'm sore. That is always a good excuse for me.

OK,I'm home schooling and it is busy plus my children are still sick.

I have never picked up a paint brush and started painting a room in my house or anything else for that matter. I always want to do something like that and then the fear of starting something and not finishing it overwhelms me. So I just never start.Plus I just don't have much confidence in my choosing color. Two years ago for my daughter's birthday, we redid her room while she was gone.Wait,I didn't do it my friend did. I just stood there and admired her work.I keep saying one of theseI'll start. We shall see.

I am off.I'll be back with my workout results this afternoon.

Hey guys. Can't chat...just had to come and check on you all!

NOW...let's all go pick up a paint brush and PAINT! LOL My living room is deep mustard brownish/yellow color now! I LOVE IT! I love color and I like making a statement. It sure is different, but we'll get used to it.

NOW...off for the final (hopefully final) coat of mustard...I mean paint!

Gayle

Good afternoon everyone,

It has been a very busy morning here at work! Didn't get a chance to check in, and didn't get a chance to have my mid-morning snack. I was starving by the time I could finally get something to eat. It's amazing how your body becomes accustomed to eating at certain time. I couldn't get near my water either, so that might be what's causing this headache. Good thing I had my meals all prepared or I was likely to eat the nearest thing I could get my hands on. Instead, I had a lean turkey sandwich on low carb bread.

Jessica, I don't know what the consensus will be regarding the SBD meals, but I'll tell you that I find the frozen meals like Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisine (haven't tried South Beach yet) to be a godsend. On nights or weekends where my kids are with their dad and I'm by myself, that last thing I want to do is cook myself a meal, so one of those goes right in the microwave and it's ready in five. Doesn't get any better than that! I know the sodium can be fairly high sometimes, but I figure I'll just drink extra water and flush it out. :p It's not a daily thing, and I'm not planning on giving them up. For roughly 250 calories, they fit into this plan kind of nicely. (Kashi has some pretty good ones out, too.)

PUB is on for tonight. I can't wait to get home to do it! Sitting behind a desk all day really makes me want to move and sweat when I get out of here.

Good job on getting that painting (almost) done, Gayle. I have to admire you, because I know that's the last task I want to do! I have one room in my house that needs the wallpaper stripped off and needs to be painted, and I told myself a year ago that it would be my next project. I have successfully found 12 months of excuses for avoiding it. :+ I think I'll just end up moving before I ever get to it!

Hello to everyone else! Hope you all are having a great day!

Jennifer

Jessica, the sodium is pretty high but I am inclined to agree with Jennifer. If you're not eating them all the time, just drink some extra water that day. It's got a good amount of protein and fiber, too!

Me again...sorry to make my 2 last posts all about ME. I just had time to paint one wall, now I have to go meet the bus. My kids will be going to friends' houses so I'm planning on finishing the other 3 walls. BUT....I'M SO EXCITED about this color. It's just so BOLD. I took a few quick pics to post here. Take a look:

http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL838/3209485/17823334/281654171.jpg

OHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I'm so excited!

BBL, after I'm ALL DONE PAINTING! I'm not allowing myself anymore PC time until I'm done!

Gayle

Awesome Gayle!

What are you going to do with the trim? ....I know walls first but I am curious. I can't wait to see the photo later.

Finished 1st floor bath and vacuumed all the downstairs floors. Now ready for washing. I have a mixed floor plan. Kitchen is tiled. Entry way is still plywood. The Living Room/Den and Dining Room is all hard wood. So I have to use different cleaning solutions which takes me awhile to finish.

Have my cardio to do this evening.

Have to run. Time to get my son from school. I have some orders to take care of at work too. I might not get back until Friday morn.
So everyone take care and have a great night.

:) :)

Hey, Heidi. I'm jealous, hearing about how clean your house is getting! LOL I clean for a friend, but my house is nowhere NEAR hers.

As for the wood trim...it's all stained natural, as is. I love that look and it's all throughout my house, so it will remain the way it looks. I was a bit worried that the color would blend too much with the natural wood, but it actually looks really good.

I'm not supposed to be on the PC, remember??? Well, I'm having an egg white pancake quick....then to FINISH!

Gayle

Very nice! I would love to paint our walls other colors but DH doesn't want to. When I was at the community college a few years ago, there was a guy from my calculus class that was from Columbia. He and his wife had painted their apartment in such festive colors...I had never seen anything like it but I LOVED it! There was so much color in their apartment, and it was just so lively and cheerful.
