BFL for Wed Jun 25th 2008

Good morning!

Belinda, sorry that you can't sleep once again.

LowMax done. Another quick one today. Tried Trader Joe's turkey meatballs for dinner last night - the whole family liked them. Turkey meatballs and whole wheat pasta make a great BFL meal.

DH is fading. Didn't get his LBWO in yesterday. We'll see if he can catch up on the schedule.

Off to shower. Have a great day!

Hello and Good Morning to you all,

Hi Belinda: Argh! I hate nights like that! I had one of those the other night and yesterday I was just dragging my butt all day! I hope that you can get some rest later. :)

Hi Sherry: Ohhh yum! That sounds really good right now. :9 I am starving this morning!
Great job on LowMax. I hope that your DH is chickening out!;-)

I was so wiped out yesterday that I didn't get in my workout. So I am going to do it right now! BBL After. Heidi

Make it a good one!

Good morning.

Sherry-crack that whip and get DH moving! LOL Dare him. Men hate losing to a woman's DARE! LOL

Belinda-sorry about the slip issues. 2 nights ago I was up at 3:30 and couldn't get back to bed. I clicked on the TV and shopped the infomercials! LOL

Heidi-enjoy your workouts!

I'm done! Workout was a BFL pyramid (sort of, lol) and all the floor work of B&G from the firewalkers to the end. My rear is on fire! lol I topped out on squats at 125, lunges with 95, and calf raises with 80. Keep your fingers crossed for DOMS!

Today's plan: Kids to the Rec Program while I go clean my friend's house. Then a quiet afternoon and evening. I am thinking of taking the kids to the local amusement/water park. Since we have season passes, I don't mind going mid-day. We'll see how the late morning plays out.

BBL

Good Morning,

I have serious DOMS from PUB yesterday. It ususally doesn't hit me this fast. I am getting ready to do KPC. I love this work out but I'm dreading it today.

Sherry - Don't you just love LowMax? I like the intervals 3-7 the best. Keep working on your DH. Gayle is right, Dare him!

Heidi - Hope you get your workout in today. What do you have planned?

Belinda - Sorry to hear about your sleepless nights. Hope you can get back on track soon.

Gayle - Boy, you sure are squatting heavy. I can't get past 60 lbs only because it hurts my shoulders. Great Job. Have fun at the waterpark.

Hi to everyone that follows.

Morning!
Belinda – Ugh, I hate sleepless nights! I’m a very deep, sound sleeper so even DH gets worried if I’m restless, lol. I hope you have a better night tonight!

Sherry – I’m with everyone else….challenge him, lol. I think we all go through the “fading” part so maybe a little push will get him moving along again. ;)

Heidi – I’m feeling that wiped feeling right now, too. It started after I finished my workout but is still here even after breakfast. Today is the last day of meds and I’m so glad. It’s really wreaked havoc on my system (it and the poison ivy…my immune system is working overtime). :(

Gayle – SUPER workout! Yay! I’m thinking a good heavy BFL leg workout is in order next week, too. Enjoy the afternoon at the park, I wish I was outside today instead of stuck inside.

Carolyn – How are you feeling today? Any news from the doctor yet? I received your PM about the hotel, thanks! My plan is to stop at the hotel on the way to the Friday step class, so hopefully I can pick up the key then and drop off my bags.

Well, I went out and did some “retail therapy” yesterday. I found some cute tops for the RT at Ross and feel better. I’m feeling bloated and icky plus the red welts all over my body are disheartening. I decided to just suck it up and go, lol. I think the steroids the doctor prescribed are having a weird effect on my body. My bodyfat has gone up 3% since I’ve started taking them 6 days ago. How strange is that? The doctor said the way it worked was it would suppress my body’s reaction to the poison ivy. I think they use this type of medication for transplant patients to keep their body from rejecting the new organ (although I’m sure their dosage is much higher).

Ugh, oh well. It is what it is and I can only work with it, right? ;)

Kathy

Gayle - you should definetly be sporting some DOMS after that workout.

Belinda - I know how you feel. I haven't been sleeping very well and that is not like me. It's an awful feeling.

Sherry - ^^^^5's on getting LowMax in. I haven't done that one in a while.

Heidi - how'd your workout go?!

Carolyn - you must have worked PUB pretty hard! Have fun with KPC.

Ladies, I am still on Cloud9 from my workout last night. I ended up sticking with CCV2 since I didn't get started until after 8:30pm. I ended up not wearing my HRM and just going off pure perceived exertion. HOLY MACKERAL!! I don't think I've ever pushed myself that hard. I think my HRM and all those %'s were holding me back. Of course, then I couldn't sleep last night because I was so wired. I ended up making all of my work food for the next three days. DH thought I was nuts.

OH, GAYLE - how do you puree your cottage cheese? I am using small curd/1% milkfat. I have a pretty powerful blender, but it's not really doing the job. Maybe the cottage cheese is too thick for it?

ETA - Hi Kathy. Sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time. Retail therapy always works wonders, so I'm glad that made you feel a little better!

Ooops.
Came back to report my workout, lol.

This morning I did two segments of Core Blast + Gym Style Legs (standing only) + Bootcamp Upper/Lower body premix + ran 1.75 miles (intervals).

LOL, Melissa! Whew, what a great workout! I am falling in love with all the Cardio Coaches all over again. ;)

Kathy

Hi,

Just back from work.

Before leaving to get DD to the train I managed to get in half of the Power Hour. I quickly showered and left to drop her off and go into work for a short time.

Not that I am back…I should finish up my workout.;)

Gayle: Wow you sure do go heavy!!! Way to go on the DOMS!
Have a great day at the water park! It looks as though once again we might get rain or a thunderstorm. It has been like this all week so far.

Hi Carolyn: Have a great workout with KPC! I hope that you can lift your arms after all the punching..heehee. ;)
I did the Power Hour…I have the other half to finish up. Then I am going to tack on a good run.

Hey Kathy: Great job this morning on your workout! I had to go on meds like you awhile back and had similar reactions to it. Once you are off it things should clear up and the body fat issue should go away.
Don’t you just love new workout clothes! This really inspires me to get in my workouts!

Hi Melissa: Nice job last night on CCV2! Just going with the flow sometimes is better than listening to all those beeps on a heart rate monitor or checking to see where you are with it. FREEDOM to just do it!!!
Well even though you were rearing to go…at least you used your time wisely. Now you don’t have to worry about what you are going to eat for a couple days.

Great job everyone! BBL after I finish up my workout! Have a good one! Heidi

Melissa-first, selling my HRM last year was THE NUMBER ONE BEST THING I'VE EVER DONE FOR MY WORKOUTS!!! Did ya hear that? All those numbers....I was getting obsessive over them. I got rid of the HRM and OFF I went. My speed and my endurance BOTH increased dramatically! Second, I use a food processor to puree my cottage cheese (not the really big processors, but a medium-size one). It works perfectly.

Gayle

p.s. HI EVERYBODY!!! Running out the door!

Hi,

Checking back with my workout finished!

2nd half of PH. Boy my arms were shaking!!! When I went to stretch after tri's I could barely get my arms up there!
Abs...I did them but again with arms shaking behind my head!

I finished out my workout with a nice iTread PW #25.
time: 38min 2.55miles and 294cals burned. This is a really nice one for PW or running.

Have a great day!

Gayle - I think I may have to do away with the HRM too. First, I was obsessed with how many calories I was burning; then when I started doing CC's, I became obsessed about the HR%. I think it's officially demoted to a watch!!!

Okay, my newfound love of cottage cheese (I can't believe I just said that) might be the perfect reason to invest in a food processor..THANKS GAYLE!!!

I don't think I could do away with my HR monitor...I'd have to have a 12 step program or something like that to let it go! ;( :7

Kathy

I'm back...

I don't think anyone reads these late-night posts, but I always feel better after I post so here I go:

I ended up doing B&G's tonight. I hadn't planned to but it just kind of jumped out me. That's one tough workout. My legs were quivering so bad that I could barely walk up the basement stairs. I'm anticipating some SERIOUS DOMS tomorrow!

Meals for the day were FANTASTIC if I do say so myself..;)

M#1: w/w english muffin w/ 1T natural pb
M#2: salad w/1 can tuna & 1/2 c black beans
M#3: 1/2 c 1% cottage cheese mixed w/ 1 c strawberries & 1/2 c blueberries
M#4: 5 oz lean steak, 1/2 sweet potato & veggies on the grill
M#5: medium apple & scrambled eggs (1/2 c whites/1 whole)

Feeling good. I just may weigh myself in the morning. It's been a while since I stepped on the scale..
