Do you own the tosca reno book or did you check i out from the library? I checked mine out and im trying to figure out the best way to transfer the recipes in my recipe book? right now im photo copying it and then transfering it to a flash drive, then printing it at the library,LOL.Anyhoot, thanks :)

Hey to the rest of the gang:)

Todays workout is going to be step blast,im going to preview it first. It looked fun the first time I previewed it...i just hate learning new workouts, but they were all new at some point! Man,it took me forever to get bodymax2,LOL.

Hi to all,

Amelia: Have a blast with Step Blast. That sounds like a good one.:) Might have to join you on this one!

Belinda: How did your cardio workout go? Hey...did you see the story on the Black Swan named Petra? Ohhh did that touch a soft spot for me.

Gayle: Great run with iTread 13!

It was pretty busy here yesterday. My two aunts came to visit and we went out to lunch. After that it was back to dropping off and picking up the kids. I did get in my run on the TM last night. I ended up doing iTread #12. That one is a good hill workout. }(

Have to get to work early...lots of phone calls to make today. I will be checking back later on this afternoon. Have a great day!
Heidi

Hi girls,

just a quick check in! No, workout yet! I took the dogs for a walk! I will do my workout before Dh comes home! I still have to pick up salad for dinner!

Have a good one!
Belinda

OMG! AMELIA-YOU ARE RIGHT! How could they DO THAT to us Survivor Fans? NCAA BASKETBALL? Who wants to watch THAT instead of Survivor! lol Addicted? yeah, maybe! LOL

At least The Celebrity Apprentice is on tonight, and that's the Finale! LOL

Hey guys! I'm steaming broccoli and carrots as I type. Need to restock the fridge with cooked veggies for quick grab-n-go meals! I'm also slowly working thru my freezer stash as well! I promised myself not to make anything new this week. I have quite a few containers of soup, shredded beef, etc to use. I am, however, this weekend making 2 fresh dishes.....homemade chicken noodle soup and the Chili Rellenos Casserole from EFL (I never made it last weekend).

Morning!
My Workout was a 4 mile run today using iTreads + the abs from Step Heat. I woke up late and tired! DH is home with something today (that I hope he doesn’t pass along). I think it’s the combination of my long run and not enough sleep this week. My plan is to take tomorrow as a rest day, run my 20 mile long run on Saturday, and make up the upper body workout I missed today up on Sunday. I also have to take my bike out for at least an hour this weekend. The duathlon is only 4 weeks away!

Kathy

Hello,

Just checking back with Step Blast and abs from Ab Hits #7.

I didn't complete Step blast though. I got to the 3rd combo and got totally confused and ended up just watching for a few minutes and gave up. I will top off today's cardio with a run this evening.

Great job Kathy on your iTread. I hope that you can take a rest later today. Sometimes this is all we need to get that energy back. Hopefully your DH is not getting really sick with the flu. Hope he feels better.:)

Hey Belinda: Nice job on Step Works! Is this one easier to follow than Step Blast?

Off to errands and work and.....BBL Heidi:7

Hi everyone!

Belinda - I have Step Works and I don't think I've ever tried it. I might have to give that one a whirl tonight.

Gayle - I have been forcing myself NOT to cook this week too. I am really missing it! I have almost eaten all of the food that I've prepared over the last few weeks so I'll be back to cooking this weekend.

Amelia - you're welcome. I do own Tosca's book. DH gave it to me for Christmas.

Heidi - glad to hear you had a nice visit with your aunt's.

Kathy - I hope your DH feels better and keeps whatever it is he has to himself. With that schedule you have, you don't have any room to get sick!!

So, some good news today, my dress pants are literally falling off of me! Everytime I start walking, they start sliding. No new clothes for me yet, though. I already have my plan in place for a day to myself sometime in May. I have a gc to a spa that I LOVE! So, I'm taking a day off, bringing DD to school, then I'm going to spend the day getting a facial, pedicure & manicure, and buy some new clothes. I'm doing it in May so that #1: I have more time to squirrel away $$ to buy more clothes, and #2: more time to lose weight!! Plus, my birthday is in May so it will be an all-around I LOVE ME celebration!!

BBL. Have to get some work done!

Hey girls, just popping in to report my workout! I managed about 35minutes of Stepblast, right before she goes into combo #3 i stopped and repeated combo #1 and part of combo#2. Then I hopped on the TM for a 15 min powerwalk!

bbl with personals!:)

LOL Gayle. I know how much you enjoy pedicures!!!

It's going to be really hard to wait until May, but I'm going to use it as motivation!

ETA: I've been in denial about this for about a month, but one thing I'm definetly going to have to buy on my little shopping spree: smaller bras...x( Smaller pants and tops, I'm excited about. Smaller bras, not so much...

Hi girls,

Gayle** fantastic job on your run and abs this morning! Alesia is getting to graduate with a Bachelors degree in May! She is very busy with school and work! She is also moving to San Antonio this summer to begin her Masters program. My son is a Freshman in college! Alesia and Darieus live in our house in TX. It is costing us so much money to keep the house! DH wants to rent or sell the house! It is our first house and I hate to move all my furniture again! My son wants to move in with a friend, I have my doubts that will work out! He is only 19 years old. With Alesia being in another state, DH and I in Germany I feel guilty leaving him in the states alone. Every day I worry about my DS, just too top things up he is also very moody! DH works and is gone a lot! My DH thinks DS need to grow up! DH joined the Army when he was 19! Go figure! I feel like I am in the middle! So tell me, what's been happening in your life, my dear? LOL!

Heidi** I almost joined you and Amelia with Step Blast today! Terrific job on your workout and abs! I got confused with the 3 combo today too! I am glad you enjoyed your aunts yesterday! Hope your DS feels better soon!

Kathy** fantastic job on your run today! Enjoy your rest day tomorrow! WOW, on running 20 miles on Saturday!

Melissa** today was my first time doing Step Works! I got confused with the last combo! I will buy Tosca's book once I am in the US and so many other things! LOL! WTG on your pants are falling off! You should be proud of yourself! SPA DAY sounds
Awesome! I will join you in May, it is also my b-day!

Amelia** ^^^5 on your workout today! Glad you got it in! Step Blast is tricky, put a good one!

Me again.

Belinda-since you asked :) : lol

My life. All's well! Jacob's (older DS) basketball team is in the play-offs and their first game is this weekend. If we lose, we're done....win and we keep playing. We're hoping to WIN, of course! Baseball has started for him as well this week, so for NOW his practices are over-lapping. Zachary's coach-pitch baseball practices should be starting next week. In 2 weeks, the PTA will officially announce and introduce the new PTA board, and I'm pretty confident nobody will oppose me for President. (keep your fingers crossed)

Work is going well. I love hanging with the kids during their lunch hours. It's funny how you go from the needy, I-can't-do-anything-myself Kindergartners to the independent, I-feel-awkawrd-so-I'll-just-act-goofy 5th graders.....all in a span of 2.5 hours! LOL

LIFE IS GOOD!

LOL, here it goes for me….

My daughter is doing quite well (she’s the 24 yr. old married one). She graduated from college in Dec. and started her new job as a dept. mgr. with Macy’s a few weeks ago. She has training for 9 weeks that’s a couple of hours away from her so she’s doing lots of traveling back and forth. She’s hoping they place her in our local Macy’s which is about 10 minutes from her house.

The boys are doing well. My 22 yr. old is still in college and working part time at a golf course (in the restaurant section). My 17 yr. old (the baby) is a junior in high school, I can’t believe it! They’re both still home and I’m not in a hurry for them to leave either!

DH started a new assignment at work and has been very stressed out! He went through a period of sleeplessness followed by some VERY loud snoring! I was walking around like a zombie for a few days because he kept waking me up, lol! Thankfully he’s settled down and I can sleep again (I hope!) :0

As for me, I’m hanging in there. Lots of changes going on here but I can’t say much… just collect a paycheck. ;)

I'll go next...

DD is doing great. She's 8. We had some interesting banter last night while I was rinsing her hair. She is always asking me if I think she will have children when she grows up. She is very into being the "mommy" with her dolls and stuffed animals. So my response was if that is something that she wants, then she should have children. I mentioned something about a husband, but can't remember exactly what I said, but I remember her response: "Well, maybe someday I'll meet the man of my dreams. But if I don't, that's okay, I can always find him on eHarmony.com." I kid you not! I haven't laughed that hard in a LONG time.

DH is doing really well. He's gearing up to put new windows in the garage and DD's room so he's in his glory right now. We are also trying to pick a color for the outside of the house. Not as easy as I thought it would be.

As for me, life is good!! :7 :+

Once again, it's late, but I had pancakes for dinner and they were sooooo good, that I wanted to share the recipe with you, which has a few changes to Gayle's recipe. DH made these because he's feeling sorry for me and my toe.

Cottage Cheese Power Pancakes
(from the recent Fat Loss edition of Oxygen Magazine)

Ready in 15 minutes - makes 1 serving

Ingredients:
1/2 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
1/4 cup low-fat cottage cheese
5 egg whites
1/2 apple peeled, cored and quartered
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
few drops vanilla extract
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp flaxseed

Process all ingredients in a food processor or blender until mixture is smooth . Cook on medium heat.

I think it's the apple which makes the difference. We add applesauce to regular pancakes all of the time, so not sure why it didn't even occur to me for the protein pancakes.
