BFL for Thu. Mar-13-08

Speaking of food. For those that have a subscription to Clean Eating Mag. did you received your Spring 2008 issue? I still haven't and I e-mailed them so maybe I will have to call and find out what is going on.

It says it was mailed out to me but doesn't give a day.

Hmmmm.....

Rhonda

Hey Rhonda,

I did get my new magazine the same day last week that Gayle did. So maybe it is on its way to you. It would also depend upon when you first subscribed to it. It usually takes about 4-5 weeks for a subscription to start being mailed out.

Melissa: That recipe is on page 307 of The Eat-Clean Diet Cookbook.

Hey Gayle: Now that you are on a Orzo kick...did you try out Baked Orzo with shrimp pg. 263 or Orzo Primavera pg 81 of the above mentioned cookbook?

I have to drop off DS to work and pick up other DS from school.

Melissa: I got in my workout Yaaaa! Not what I had planned but something in the way of HIIT. :) (see below)

Oh...I programmed my treadmill while running intervals so that DH can try it out. He wanted me to train him to help get him in cardio shape. He is in really good shape now but can't run as long as I can so he thinks.....;-)

Hello again!
Melissa – I get that way when I eat wheat! Do you have any allergies to any of the food you ate? I’m glad it went away. WooHoo on the 20 lb. side laterals!

Belinda – I love LIC! It’s fun and the time flies! I’m so happy you’re enjoying your barbell, too.

Michelle – We missed you! Sounds like the move went relatively smooth. Hopefully you’ll be fully “wired” soon, lol. How great that you have jog path near your house now, too! Yay!

Heidi –
The Runervals 10k Builder is about 52-53 minutes long with a warm up and 5 cycles of running at 10k pace for 6 minutes.
Cycles 1-4: Run at 10k pace and raise the incline by 1% every minute (0-5% incline)
Rest 90 Seconds between cycles.
Cycle 5: Run at 10k pace and raise the incline every minute – 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10%
Cool Down
(Of course I didn’t do the incline on the last cycle….is Coach Troy CRAZY???) :)

Sounds like your DH is going to have fun with your pre-programmed run, lol!

Rhonda – I subscribed to Clean Eating in Nov or Dec but didn’t get the Premier issue. I rec’d the Spring issue a couple of weeks ago. Now I’m wondering if I should try to get the first issue if it was good!

Kathy

Gayle-I will try to talk my DH into buying coremax this weekend, maybe i can find it cheaper on amazon }(

Hey to Everybody, sorry this is short but ive been on the computer too long and my kids are getting antsy!:D

Kathy-I vote AMBITIOUS!!!! lol

Heidi-now I’ll have to check out that cookbook from the library again! Thanks for the recs on those! (and what are you? The Eat Clean Cookbook EXPERT? LOL)

Belinda-I’ll wait PATIENTLY for those orzo recipes! Thanks!

Michelle-great to see you back. Enjoy Survivor tonight! Is the house a wreck or is it pretty organized?

On the Clean Eating Mag….Somebody set me straight...I'm confused!
The issue I'm holding in my hand right now is: "Oxygen Collector's Issue, Clean Eating"....it's got the picutre of the chicken recipe over pasta and broccoli on the front, dated Winter 2007. This is the one with the Cajun Shrimp Stir Fry in it! I think this is the one I BOUGHT at Barnes & Noble this Winter.

Did we ALSO get a PREMIERE issue too? What's on that cover and what's it dated?

I checked my subscription status at cleaneatingmag.com and it showed me UNPAID! LOL Guess that could do it, hugh? So, out came the credit card! BUt I could have SWORN I got another one, I just can't find it in my house!!!! LOL

Gayle

Hi Gayle:

I wish I was an expert on eating-clean! But I am not but I really enjoy the recipes! If my kids will eat it along with DH well that's enough for me. :7
(When I have the book in hand it makes it easier to know exactly were a certain recipe or page is :) )
The Banana Applesauce Bread is Great! (My DD has already eaten 1/8 of it!!!!)

My current and very first Clean-Eating Magazine came in the mail about a week ago and has a picture with pizza on the front cover. My very first one I picked up at the grocer's and says "Melt Holiday Pounds." It also says Premiere Issue! NOW I AM CONFUSED! These are the only ones I have currently.

As far as subscriptions in general...my comments were based on my experience in the past of ordering any type of magazine by mail. It just seems like they take forever to get around to sending them out! Before you know it several new covers have already gone by. Very frustrating to say the least. :( I hope all of those that have subscribed receive theirs soon.

Back to cooking dinner. Later Heidi

Now this is my understanding (which can be VERY wrong, lol) but the first issue is the "Premier" issue and has the cajun shrimp recipe. The second one (which we all seem to be getting- or are waiting on) is the Spring issue and has the Pizza picture on it.

Kathy

I do not have a subcription, but the Clean Eating Mag I have is the premiere issue. I really want the one with the pizza on the front, but I can't find it anywhere. I think I got the first one at my local drug store. I just can't remember which one!!x(

Okay, it's late, but I'm going downstairs to do some cardio. I had to go to the grocery store and having good food in the house is a major priority! Took a little longer than I had anticipated...

Talk to you all tomorrow!
