I am up early because my DH is flying back to Germany today!

Good morning Belinda! So nice to have you starting us off again. Hope your DH has a good flight back.

I did get in 4DS Chest/Back last night, but I’m not feeling the DOMS like I was expecting (hoping). Today will be 4DS Shoulders/Calves. I do really like this shoulder workout. It hits all the muscles hard. Once again, I’ll heavy up.

I still don’t have my car back. I really want it back today. I couldn’t borrow my uncle’s car anymore. At least the dealer got me a loaner. We’ll know a bit more later today. It just feels out of sorts driving something else around. And my sunglasses are still in my car!

Gotta get going now. Hopefully more tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great workout and a clean eating day! (I didn't yesterday - gave into a triple chocolate birthday cake at work while celebrating a birthday!)

Sherry - Oh man, I hope they know more about your car today. Car problems are a pain! :(

I took a rest day today. I have a busy weekend planned (BFL upper Friday, dry run of the duathlon on Saturday with 5 mile run & 15 mile bike ride, and a 12 mile run on Sunday). Figured today was a good day to relax. :)

Good Morning my cyber friends:)

I feel like poo today so im so glad there is no scheduled workout on my rotation! I do however,feel better about my diet...i got some info on what percentage of carbs,fat and protein im suppose to be eating so that will go in effect hopefull today! I have to go to fitday.com to put everything in and it shows my macro's (sp?) for the day:)At this point im willing to do anything because im still in the same size(but there loose;-))pants that ive been in over a year now:-(..its time the weight losing ball started rolling agian;-)

Sherry-Great job on your workout last night,sometimes my doms don't appear until 48hrs later....maybe yours are still to come?

Belinda-I agree its nice to see you starting us off today:) I wish your DH a safe flight!

Amelia** what rotation are you doing? Hope you feel better today! I agree with Stephanie forget about the scale! My DH saw me in shorts last night and sad that I am getting tiny and showing nice muscle in my legs and UB! Even my DH said to my DH, look at her biceps! You probably don’t realizing it, but I will bet you show nice muscle! I didn’t notice it until they said something! I am showing more muscle! Forget about the scale! Work really hard and you see results! My eating hasn’t been so clean the last 2 weeks!

Stephanie** what workout are you doing today? It feels great throwing stuff out that I haven’t used in a long time! I feel like I am on the Clean House! I hate clutter! I just cleaned the house out 9 month ago! My son bleached a lot of his clothe, sheets/ towels! I don’t know where the stains come from since I don’t have bleach in the house? I use all natural cleaners!

Gayle** I had a garage sale before DH and I left for Germany. The only thing we made good nmoney was on furniture, clothe didn't sell! I will not sit in that heat for pennies! So out the all that stuff and I don't want stuff to sit in my garage waiting!



Oh, yesterday I did the wrong workout! LOL! I did LB instead of UB! So today I will do UB and cardio!

Look at that! Belinda is first today! Back to normal!  Hope DH has a safe trip back to Germany! And, Belinda, I informed the Texas T-12 gals that you are back in Texas. I think some of them are trying to get together sometime soon! CONGRATS on the compliments from DS and DH! That ALWAYS helps!

Sherry-here’s a cheer for DOMS for tomorrow! lol AND a cheer for the car situation!!!

Kathy-I’m tired. It’s YOUR fault, all that reading about the Duatholon Dry Run! LOL Makes me sweat just thinking about it! ENJOY the rest day, it’s BEYOND well-deserved!

Amelia-I agree with the gals. You’ve come a LONG way, baby, and you’re doing really well. Just stay focused on your success, and eventually the plateau will break.

As for my workout report. I FEEL GREAT! First, I’m a walking body of DOMS. I think the only part of me NOT sore are my ear LOBES! LOL Abs, glutes, hams, chest, bis/tris. You name it! Second, I want to know who suggested the MIS abs? Who was it? LOL I plugged them in after my run this morning and wasn’t sure what to expect. OUCH is what I have to say to that segment. She really gets in those upper/middle abs right in the beginning and it doesn’t stop till the end. My run was iTread 9. Grace’s goal in this workout is to hit a specific mileage, and mine was 7 miles in the 60 minutes. It was AWESOME! I DID IT! I followed the runners’ numbers the entire time, and even took it up a tad faster here and there and I hit my 7 miles in EXACTLY 60 minutes. I was drenched!

OK…enough rambling. Here’s today’s plan. Headed to work shortly. Then my friend’s DH and I are heading out for an hour-long power walk after that. Then we’ve got a baseball game at 5:30 and then SURVIVOR, baby!

Ladies…….STAY STRONG TODAY! Keep moving! Stay positive. Feel MY energy and use some of it for YOU!

Sherry: Maybe those DOMS will show up later today. Sometimes this happens to me.
Have a great workout with your shoulders today. DARN CARS! I hate having car troubles…and I still am! DH and I discussed last night about looking into getting another one. We’ll see….

Hi Amelia: Nice job on your clean-eating. You are doing an awesome job with your workouts as well. Little tweaks here and there and your sure to keep up with that weight loss.

Stephanie: What do you have on tap for today’s workout? How are your legs after L&G yesterday? My hammies are definitely sore today! My upper is also still feeling it. It is all good though!

Just thought I'd share a recipe for a crunchy EASY snack from Clean Eating...you all may have it but just in case!

Tempting Trail Mix
1 cup Multi-Grain Cheerios
1 cup Raisins
1/2 cup dried Cranberries
1/2 cup Kellogg's All-Bran Fiber Cereal (I used Fiber One) (omit for pre-exercise snack)
1 cup Roasted Soy Nuts (look for 10 grams of fat per serving) I omitted

Mix together in a large container with a lid. Put in 1/4 cup portions in a snack size bag for on-the-go eating.

Calories: 130 Fat: 4 grams Carbs: 20 grams Protein: 5 grams

I also made protein pancakes today and it called for vanilla...I was out but had Almond Extract. It was a really nice flavor! Just thought I'd pass this along too!

So for breakfast this morning I had 3oz of salmon and 1/2 c brown rice. At first I felt a little strange having it for breakfast, but I really enjoyed it. I think I just needed something different.

M#1: 3oz salmon & 1/2 c brown rice
M#2: beef & barley soup
M#3: apple & 1/4 c walnuts
M#4: chicken chili
M#5: grilled chicken, sweet potato fries & steamed veggies
M#6: banana & 1T natural pb

Stephanie - I like the idea of using almond extract in protein pancakes. I'll have to give that a try.

Heidi – hey girl. I woke up this morning with a headache. Ugh. – I can’t wait to be done with work so I can go home and do some cardio. Thanks to you, that’s the one thing that I have found that works!!

Melissa – yeah, nice breakfast. But hey I guess it’s better than cold pizza and we know we have all had that!

Okay, last night I re-watched the ending to Biggest Loser. It is so motivating to watch how they changed their lives. And not only the outside – but the inside as well. It really is how we feel on the inside that matters most.

Yesterday I was having the best day. I got up early, pulled out my “skinny jeans” and felt great coming to work. I know I always walk with my head a little higher when I’m in those jeans! Anyway, I just couldn’t get over sitting at my desk and how loose they felt around my waist. I was in such a good mood!!

Mid-morning I went to the ladies room. And I realized – oh my gosh, these are my “fat” jeans!! What?! I tricked myself all morning – heck these pants have been loose on me for months. After I got over being mad at myself – I realized – gee, it really is more about how you feel on the inside about yourself. So, I left the ladies room, in my fat jeans, and held my head a little higher.

Oh, Michelle, sorry about the "fat" jeans, but I'm proud of you for giving yourself a pep-talk. It IS more about how you feel on the inside. How about wearing the skinny jeans tomorrow? I think that's great that you are able to wear them!

I am really struggling right now. For some reason, I am STARVING!!! I already ate meals 1 & 2 and I usually don't have #3 until 1:00. It's not even 12:00 yet...x(
 
Melissa - Glad to know I'm not the only one hungry!! I'm telling you, I lifted weights yesterday and now I'm sooo hungry. When I do cardio - not so much. Is this all in my head?? I'm off to grab some subway! :) I just can't wait any longer!!

Michelle - I did weights last night, maybe that's why I'm so hungry?!?! I just heated up my chicken chili and I'm going to eat it slowly. I love subway!! DD just fell in love with it recently so it's a great alternative when we are out and about on the weekends and want to stop somewhere for lunch!!

Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed!! I was in a similar situation in 2003. I was with a company for 10 years and they decided to consolidate some departments. It worked out really well. I got a really good severance package, ended up interviewing for this job on my last day there and was offered the job on the spot for the same salary AND I was able to take 2 weeks off before starting. So I ended up getting my new salary for this job, plus 20 weeks of severance pay from my last job. Of course I didn't plan any of that, it just happened. Hopefully I can finagle something similar this time around if it ends up that I'm losing this job.

Back with my workout finished. I did my abs first because if I didn't I would have skipped them for sure. They were tough for I still have DOMS from yesterday's workout!
I powerwalked and mixed running in with the iTread #9 60min workout. My legs were pretty tight for running this one all the way. Plus, powerwalking works your butt and calves really well.{)

Gayle: You'll have to try these out soon too. Pure Strengh abs.

Hello Melissa and Michelle: :) Enjoy your DOMS today! Michelle that is a great pep talk and you are absolutely correct! Everyone should hold their heads high and be proud of what they have accomplished thus far! :7

Hi Heidi! Good job on doing abs first. I see you did some power walking. I'm on the fence if I want to be running or walking. Yesterday I had to take something up to the school and just decided to walk -- it actually made my legs feel great. Sometimes I feel like running is for your inside and walking is for your outside -- if that makes sense?!
