I have been so busy lately and haven't checked in for awhile. I don't feel I have the right to post here! Feels like I'm hi-jacking!

Today is a rest day. Eating the past 2 days...not so good, not bad, just not clean. I feel like I'm caught up in a whirl-wind so maybe that's why.

I hope everyone has a healthy day filled with laughter and sunshine! :7
 
Good Morning Belinda and Stephanie!

Today is PUB! I took the kiddies swimming yesterday and had fun except for the whole sunburn partx( DH and i both got sunburnt. We used last years sunblock:-( Thank goodness i bought some new sunblock for my kiddes,there fine!

My WI is today...drumroll....im down 4.2lbs since last sunday:)! I gained about7lbs after my last challenge so ive still got about 3more to go until i get REALLY excited when i lose;-)

Hi and good morning Belinda and Stephanie!

Belinda: Have a great workout! I will be doing the SH Shoulders,chest and back today. I will also add in a good long run.

Stephanie: Don't feel that way...like the rest of us, we all have times that we are just so busy we can't check-in as often as we would like.

I went shopping late last night for my clean-eating foods. I will be cooking these up today and have them ready for the week. My DH's eating style and mine just clash big time!!! You should have seen his face when I was eating my snack yesterday of cottage cheese and apple! :D He said that we women eat like birds. Well...if I ate like the birds that are camped out at the feeder I would be wayyyyy over weight!!! ;-) :+

Some of the things I plan on cooking:
Turkey meatloaf...(instead of the meatballs because it seems to go further this way)
Shiitake stir-fry w/rice
Sugar Snap Pasta salad ( I can add either shrimp or chicken to this)
Spinach Ricotta dip for today's cookout
Grilled eggplant
Sweet Potato soup w/roasted garlic

I really hope that this week is better for me! Guests are here until tomorrow. My DD's friend is heading to Germany,Japan,China and then on to India for the next semester of school. If my DD plays it right she can go visit him during winter break.

Hey girls,just popping in to report my workout! Did PUB minus the abb work! My shoulders were screaming with every little rep but i got-r-done:7

Heidi- Great meals planned for the week! Is that shiitake stir-fry in the bfl cookbook? Sounds delish! I miss chinese food! I may have to go get me some today,since its my cheat day but i feel so yucky after eating all that sodium/calories. :+

Kathy-I haven't been keep up with everybody on the forums but i wanted to give you a high fives on your continues success with the weight loss! You Go Girl:)

High fives to everybody here as well,im blessed to be in the presence of such great ladies....

I haven't done my workout yet. Just finished making breakfast. Cleaned my car. Geesh I can't wait for the pollen to stop!!!

It is really getting warm today. My DH and I opened the pool last weekend and it is ready to go. Might have to take a dip this afternoon.:)

The Shiitake Stir-fry is in the current Clean-Eating Magazine pg.75 and I really like it. During the summer I eat a lot more veggies and fruits because they are light and quick to make rather than meat dishes.

Heidi, that Spinach Ricotta dip looks yummy! What else are you having at the cookout? We are grilling out steaks tonight! Well, I should say DH is! Hope you got all your cooking done! Hope you get your dip in today! Sounds like fun!

I downloaded my first Cardio Coach yesterday, #4, and will try it out in the morning! Any advice for me? I need to read over the "levels" and "zones" before tomorrow!

Hi everyone! I am hiding from DH because we are painting the house and I need a break!!

Amelia - YAY on the weightloss!! Great job!!

Heidi - I will be joining you on CC#4 tomorrow morning!! WANNA RACE?!?! I have 1-4 so far and 4 is the only one I haven't tried yet. Do you have a HRM? I have a post-it on my bike with the heart rate zones written down so that I make sure I'm in the right range. Have you listened to it already? Sean does a great job at letting you know where you should be. Good luck! I'll be thinking of you while I'm pedaling away!

Heidi - I hear you on trying to keep your vehicle clean. I want to wash mine so bad, but I know as soon as I do it will be covered in pollen again and I'll just be mad x(

Hi Belinda!

I have turkey tips marinating in the fridge and I can't wait to grill them up tonight. We are having corn on the cob as well and I'm making DH potato salad. I'll just have some extra veggies. Not a big fan of potato salad! Eating has been clean so far today. I ended up with two birthday cakes. DH bought one from my favorite local bakery, then my parents showed up with another one from my favorite bakery near their house. I ended up having a small piece of both. They are coming to work with me tomorrow because I need to get them out of the house. They will be devoured by noontime, I'm sure.

Have a great rest of the day. I have to go paint...:-(
 
Passing through . . .

Soccer is done for the day, and there is one weekend left. Needed to run to the library to get the book that DS needs to have finished by tomorrow but he left it at school. DD is now at a friend’s. Last thing for the day is dog training. I need to get some more healthy food, but we’re doing ok, and I’m ready to hit the week strong.

Belinda – Hope you are able to walk after doing both of those!

Stephanie – Join us when you can. Life does that to all of use sometimes.

Amelia – Yeah! Weight down! You are doing great. Sorry about the sunburn. P.S. – I often skip that ab work, too.

Heidi – Great menu planned for the week. Does your DH support your eating even if he doesn’t join in? That’s quite a trip your DD’s friend has planned. Enjoy your houseguests.

Kathy – Enjoy the pool. I’m jealous! And great job on the weight loss.

Now, to finish the laundry, tidy the house a bit, and figure out dinner – probably turkey burgers.

LOL...Hi Sherry!!!

We are painting the house. We have the back almost done. DH bought a paint sprayer at Home Depot. Best $100 we ever spent!! There is alot of cutting in to do though and that seems to be my job. I'm am really not good at it though. I was hoping DH would notice that and demote me to something else, but so far no luck! ;(
 
OOH, the outside! That could take a bit of time, not just a short weekend project. Guess we know what you 'll be doing for the next few weeks.

No workout today but the rotation for June starts on a Monday so I will do this tomorrow.

Melissa: I would be hiding too! I have to stain the outside of the house and I am not looking forward to this for the reason this is three story house!!! I need a cherry picker for this job.

Hi Stephanie: The only suggestion I have for the CC is to wear a heart rate monitor to get an idea of how hard you are working during the increase in either hills or speed. I sort of made a chart for my heart rate zones:

Orange: 151.2-160.6 80-85%
Green: 132.3-141.7 70-75%
Blue: 103.9-122.8 55-65%

Our cookout was yummy! We had Steak tips, potato salad, greek rotini salad, fresh greens, baby back ribs and sweet Italian sausages. Oh and of course watermelon and low-fat banana cream pie for desert.
I didn’t eat the fatty meats though so I guess overall I ate pretty good.

Hi Sherry: It sounds like your weekend is just as busy as mine! My DH does support my clean-eating habits so this is good. He tries some of my new recipes and a lot of them he has liked so far. So this is even better because he can join me in having the same foods instead of my making several different dinners at night.

I'm back and done painting for the day...:7 :7

I just checked out Cathe's June rotation. Looks good. I might give it a whirl. I haven't done a S&H rotation for a while. I'm just going to switch the days a little so that I'm doing cardio MWF since my body is used to getting up early on those days.

Meals for today:

M#1: 1 slice banana applesauce bread & 1 cup 1% milk
M#2: salad w/3 slices turkey, 1/2 c black beans
M#3: apple & string cheese
M#4: 5 oz turkey tips, 1 corn on the cob, broccoli & green beans
M#5: strawberry protein shake

BB tomorrow!
