I just finished CC #2...all HILLS, ARG! Fists are in the air and I'm yellin', BRING IT ON SEAN! ;) (that's what Sean advises!)

Good morning, ladies! What a fine Tuesday we have here, hugh? LOL

My workout is done too! I tried to kill myself on my BFL cardio pyramid this morning. lol WOW! It was the first by-the-book BFL cardio in a long time and let's just say I set my numbers too high. After the first interval, I realized that and I took the numbers down just a bit. Then I tacked on ME abs and a stretch!

Today is another quiet day, hopefully. Work/school. Then kids have their religion class and then dinner. Nothing planned after dinner. At all. NOTHING! Love it! We've been sticking close to home. My goal this month was to avoid eating out (due to calories and money, lol) and to avoid going to the store until absolutely necessary. The result??? I'm ahead money-wise today and it feels great to have that happen. Both boys' BDays are in October (17 & 29th...they'll be turning 8 and 11) and Christmas shopping has begun a little bit. So my goal for October is the same....avoid eating out and stay home as much as possible. The more we stay home, the less money we spend!

Made my oatmeal this morning with 1/3 C dry oats and 1/3 C water and it was THICK! lol I used the old fashioned rolled oats, which says to microwave for 4-5 mins at 50% power. I'll either have to increase the water or decrease the time! I ususally eat it with 1/2oat 1/2 water, but that makes a TON of oatmeal. ANYWAY...I'm rambling about my oatmeal.

Time to get the kids going.

Gayle - Great BFL HIIT this morning! It's always nice when there's still money at the end of the month instead of month at the end of the money. ;)

Well, I ran 6 miles this morning using Cardio Coach Vol 8 (hills). You all know how I dread them hills and today was no exception. My heart rate shoots through the roof on the treks where I try to keep my pace but increase my incline. I need it though, MCM has a big hill on it's course....somewhere.....unlike nice flat S. Jersey. ;)

Good morning ladies!

I decided to take today off from work...YIPPEE!! I have some time I need to use or lose so I'd much rather use it..:p

I am really feeling the BFL UB workout I did yesterday. Chest and shoulders are so sore...I LOVE IT!! Workout for today is HIIT. I was going to do the challenge from V8 with the ladder hill and then tack on a sprint challenge, but Stephanie just reminded me how much I love V2, so I might change my mind.

Okay, if you ladies can believe it, I am going to start my Christmas shopping today...:eek: I know, I can't believe it either!!

Belinda, it appears you really weighed all of your options on moving. Glad you are happy with the decisions you made. So, what workout did you end up doing?

Gayle, wow, what a great workout! What exactly did you do for HIIT? I need some tips in that area. Thanks for the e-mail yesterday! Glad the yard is mowed! :p

Amelia, I thought of you often on Saturday! So happy you loved your first day! What kind of Doctor are you working for? I wear scrubs too. They are so comfortable! It's nice not have to wonder what to wear each day, but it gets kinda boring after wearing them all week. I guess that's why I love dressing up on Sunday's for church! ;) How is your back feeling? Better, I hope! What's on the agenda for today?

Heidi, how is your DS feeling? Did everyone get up on time this morning? Wow, DH's mom lives with you too? Wow, you do have a busy house! Do you ever get "alone" time with yourself or DH?

Finished my cardio! Yeah! I decided to skip the elliptical today and head out the front door - it was so beautiful outside! I have to admit however, I was missing Coach Sean especially after seeing all of you (Steph, Kathy and Melissa) posting about him!!

Good morning Belinda! Seems like old times when you used to post at what 3:00 a.m.? ha ha!

I agree with you Gayle -- how the heck do you eat out while on BFL? It is much easier eating at home!

Okay - Christmas talk already?! Funny! Make sure on your wish lists that you tell everyone to buy us all smaller clothes! RIGHT?!!

Hey Melissa – Enjoy your Xmas shopping! I really like CCV2 as well!

Steph – I’’ve always done longer cardio than suggested by BFL. I do a day of fast repeats, a long slow run, and either a hill or interval workout (or both some weeks when I run 4 times instead of 3). :)

My DS made it to work and he didn't say anything this morn about his throat. I guess we can skip the doc this time around.

Hi Michelle: I was thinking of what cardio I should do....I think I will follow you. I think a nice walk in my favorite wooded trail is in order. I hear the chipmunks calling me. ;)

Hello Steph: Alone time...? What is that? ;) With a house full (6) plus another on weekends (fri-sun sometimes mon too) I don't get much of that except when everyone heads off to work or school. Most of the time it is spent cleaning up after everyone!
I am really going to take that walk now come to think of it! I need some thinking time and fresh air before it starts raining again.

What are you workout plans for today? Make it a good one!

I'm back.....

DD is feeling much better. Thanks asking. She knew I was home today and didn't want to miss a day of school. Thankfully, since my whole agenda was shopping for her!!

I just came in from shopping. Picked up a couple of the "top" items on DD's list. Yes, she already has her Christmas list started. Mostly because everytime we are out and she asks for something, I tell her to "put it on her list"!!!

Stephanie - LOL about the smiley guy. That is awesome!! And I like your list, especially the extra room!! I could use one of those...

Heidi - glad to hear your feelin' that workout yesterday. Nothing worse than putting so much into it and not "feeling" the results!!

Back to report my workout and meals for today.

HIIT: Cardio Coach V3 Challenge 1 + V8 Challenge 3 with some steady states in between. This was a great combo!

Meals:

M#1: 2 pcs whole wheat toast w/1T natural pb and 1 cup 1% milk
M#2: 1 1/2 c beef & barley soup
M#3: whole wheat tortilla, 1 can tuna, lettuce leaves and sliced tomato
M#4: 2 whole wheat tortilla's, 1/4 cup shredded cheddar, 4 oz 93% lean beef with taco seasoning and sliced tomato (Tonight was taco night and this is my clean version. It was really satisying and enough to make 2 wraps)
M#5: 1/2 whole wheat Naan flatbread, 4 T roasted red pepper hommus, celery sticks and green bean (This will be my snack while I'm watching Biggest Loser!!!)

I have all of my meals planned for the week, calories calculated and in my binder. Ahhhhh....what a good feeling!
