BFFMers - Help please!

Hi, everybody and anybody who knows anything about BFFM (and that seems to be many of you!),

Helllllp! Could someone please help me figure this out?

I bought my BFFM last week and read through it, took notes, wrote my goals and am now crunching numbers. I'm guessing I'm a meso mix, but I'm still sort of figuring that out (hour-glass shape, fingers overlap wrist).

I'm probably making this out to be way more complicated than it should be. I'm so behind in my "real" work! LOL! If only I had been this diligent in school!

I'd really appreciate your feedback. Does this look right?

My stats : 112 pds, 5'2", 25% body fat, TDEE is 1858 (at moderately active - I work out with Cathe 6 days a week, 3 weight splits and 3 cardio). My goal is to get to 19% body fat by mid-August.

I've been lightly following the Zone for a while but from today will try out the BFFM 50/30/20, tapering my carbs, zig-zagging my calories, and having the two cheat meals on my high calorie days.

My questions :

1. My low days are at 1450cal C=182gr P=109gr F=33gr

Would this be a correct balance w/tapering? Looking at the sample meal that T.V. put in, I wonder if I should be eating less carbs for my last meal?

1450 calories/5 meals C/ P / F
Breakfast : 373cal 52/22/6
Post workout : 290cal 36/22/6
Lunch : 290cal 36/22/6
Dinner : 290cal 36/22/6
Evening : 215cal 22/22/9

2. About high days - T.V. says to have your cheat meals on these days. Does that mean that for my 1850 cal day, I should add in any 400 extra calories I want (as in a dessert or a glass of wine)? Or does that mean I should eat 400 calories of a balanced 50/30/20 and keep my 1850 cal day as 50/30/20? I don't need to eat 139 grams of protein on my high days, is that right? Am I totally misunderstanding?

Hi August-
Just read thru BFFM for the 2nd time and actually caught this as an AHA!!!!!
Your Cheat Meal(s) is to be INCORPORATED into the High Day calories target- Not in addition to it!!! I guess the first time around I read what I wanted to read OOPS! Resulted in a High Days of up to 2400 calories for this old 5'5 girl....... Got that under control and weight has stopped doing its own zig zagging!

As far as the late meal carb count.... I believe its part of the trial and error format.... I cannot eat grains after my 2pm meal its 100% tummy bloat and bulge the next day if I do so I just do lighter veggies and bigger protein... For me dinner is easy to do light tho as my hunger (w/ 4 previous meals) is usually non-existent after Meal 4.

Have you started your program?

So let's see then, which do you think is correct in that case?

Low day - 1450
50/30/20

High day - 1850
50/30/20
Plus 400 calories worth of cake (for an extreme example)

OR

High day - 1850
50/30/20
Plus 400 calories worth of 50/30/20 balanced cake + protein


x( Oh, so many numbers and menu calculating...brain getting mushy...must rest...:-(
