Cathlete
She is coming home on thursday! Still paralyzed...has shoulder movement but no wrist, fingers, or anything below the waste. It has been 10 days shy of 4 months since her accident. They have had to remodel their entire downstairs to accomodate her. Her husband and mine have been busy with the electrical and plumbing and thankfully local contractors have donated their time to build and drywall the walls, lay flooring and tile the bathroom. I have spent numerous hours painting...It will be a major adjustment for her, but man is she ready to come home! She starts 12 weeks of out patient therapy on the following Monday. Wish her luck!

WOW!!!!!!!!!! It's been 4 months...doesn't seem like it was that long ago(even tho I know it may not seem that long ago for u all).........that is so awesome and such a blessing that she has such a great support system and that so many people have pitched in to help out......continuing to send prayers and best wishes to her, her family and also u and ur husband......that is such great news..... Thx for the update:)

I believe that her mobility will improve over time. I had a terrible burn as a child (over most of my body.) and nerves take a long time to heal (sometimes.) but its weird, even now, some 23 years later, I'm still getting little bits of myself back. (I lived and I look normal now btw in no small thanks to my very stubborn and devoted mother who took turns with my Dad dressing my wounds every 30 min. for months.) I guess what I'm saying is, that even when things seem bleakest, keep the faith because strange miracles do happen.

I will be keeping her in my prayers give her lots of love from your Cathlete buddies!!!!
