Better Blow dryers?

Anyone with thick wavy (borderline frizzy) hair buy one of those ionic (ion ?) hair dryers? They claim it cuts time off the drying time and is better for your hair. I could sure use the extra time that I have to spend drying my hair on other things. I know they are expensive and not sure if its worth the expense.
Thanks!

No....but I have thick hair, tends to get frizzy and I just bought the best stuff. It is Neutrogena anti frizz serum...it was like $7, and it works really good. Maybe this helps a little. I saw the commerical for that hair dryer....I will ask a friend of mine who is a hairdresser.

I've tried all products and most work really well. Thanks for the tip. Problem is since I have to flatiron my hair as well I am at least trying to reduce the poof from the dryer to make the ironing faster as well. I had my hair japanese straightened twice. First time was unbelievable, second time didn't really take as well so I have to use the iron anyway. Been about 8 months since the last time so I am relying heavily on ironing. Because its so thick and heavy I can go 4-5 days without washing but if I work out and sweat a lot it gets kinda icky and curls come back. So I find myself washing more frequently nowadays

Yes--I have Panasonic's ionic dryer--I think I bought it through Amazon. I love it b/c it does dry hair faster, but also it has a diffuser w/extended fingers that allow you to dry the hair w/o getting the dryer too close (thereby causing extra damage). I highly recommend it.

I have Sharper Image's Salon Pro Ionic Conditioning Hair Dryer and the Ionic Conditioning Hair Straightener with two inch ceramic plates. I don't know about cutting my hair drying time (I think it's pretty much the same), but my hair looks so much better. There is nothing (not even the salon blow out) that can make my hair look that straight and soft than those two.

hmm I have one at home in my closet that I didnt like. Maybe I'll have to drag it back out and try it again. the part I didnt like was that I straighten my hair out but it didnt seem hot enough or something to make it straight. It didnt cut my drying time either. Ive got very long thick hair and I could def use a little cut in drying time

I bought the Hot Tools ionic dryer a few years ago when they were first coming out. I still like it very much. There are many out right now that are just about the same price as regular dryers. Check out Ulta.com- they have lots of good ones!
