Best exercise for inner thigh

Hi, everyone!
I need your help once again.
I've been getting good result for working out 6 days a week alternating cardio and weight. However, my inner thighs are not sliming down at all.
Can anybody recommend an exercise that I can do to focus on this area?
Do I need more cardio or specific weight exercise for this area?
Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

Christie

I would like to know as well because I have the same problem.. it's like my inner thighs are the last things to slim up. Lots of reps doing the laying down with the back leg bent and using a dumbell for resistence works but it seems like it's not enough...thanks for the input!:D

Don't laugh! :) But my 10 year old daughter has one of those red playground balls and I lay down, put it between my legs and squeeze away. It beats just sitting there during a movie.:) You could also use it sitting on the edge of your couch and placed between your knees. W/ as much work as I need, I can definitely feel it.:) HTH

well first cardio and charolette has already said KPC will do that. any cathe might do that LOL

plies work some inner thighs, inner thigh lifts(with ankle weights if you can handle that) if you have access to a gym this machine will help

i do the inner thigh squeeze with a ball. and other movemnts like lunges will slighty work some inner thighs as well.

I would also suggest spinning. At home or at a gym. Cycling has really slimmed down my legs. I also do a lot of floor work as well. Pyramid Lower & GS Legs have great floor work w/ the stabilty ball for the inner thighs. VERY effective!

My inner thighs bulk up fast if I use heavy weights for them, and the ones that have worked best for me are the ones used by Cathe in her floor work segments. My favorite one is that in L&G, with the ankle weights. I take the weight off my ankle and put in right on my inner thigh to take pressure off from my knee.

Total Body Pilates by Karen Voight that uses the ring WILL FRY YOUR INNER THIGHS and you get a great workout for the abs as well.

I also love the floorwork in LBP.

I've had the best results from non-weighted leg work with stability ball, Gliders and Pilates ring. I have completely abandoned weighted leg work, and I thought I'd never say that. I use RESISTANCE, but not weights. And you can forget those adductor/abductor machines in the gyms - they just don't work.

Hi Christie- I use to be in the same boat, where the rest of my leg was shaping up but I had problems with the inner upper thigh. What worked for me was doing the floor work from GSLegs and PLB 2x a week(this is on top of your normal scheduled workout, sort of as a bonus burn). Especially the ball squeeze between the thighs. What also works great for me is the jumping plie squats from imax2(blast9) and imax3(blast5). Thanks to the combination of all the above I noticed(actually when I did Imax2 this morning) that I can actually click my heels together when I do the plie jumps:D

Thanks everyone for your recommendations!
I do weighted leg work but not the floor work on a regular schedule. I purchased GS legs and L&G not too long ago so I am very excited to try floor work you all mentioned.
I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Thanks again!:)

Yes yes yes! Thank you all as well! Great input and I'll consider all of them, I'll be buying a few more DVD's here pretty soon! I'm so excited! I can't wait! AAAAH!   teehee...:D Thank you too Christie for bringing up the question.. a good one at that!:7

Christie-

I'm afraid I disagree with everyone here. There is nothing that can slim down your thighs except fat loss, which comes through diet change and cardio exercise.

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as spot reducing. :(
