Best days to do certain workouts...

i KNOW i saw this posted on the forums before, but when i did a search, nothing came up. there was something a while back about a woman's monthly cycle and when it is best to do certain exercises (i.e. more weights, more cardio) and also when calorie burn is higher or lower.

does anyone have this info?

the reason i ask is because it is my totm and i noticed i couldn't lift as heavy on some of the exercises and got to failure quicker. so, i was wondering if you weren't quite as strong during that time.
 
Actually you are not as strong. Women are actually their strongest around ovulation when testosterone level rise-we only have a bit of it but its at the highest level around ovulation, making those few days before and after ideal for heavy training! :)

The company I work for is writing a book on the subject which includes diet and exercise programs....I will let you all know when it actually gets published!:) It is a very interesting subject, how a womans cycle affects her training and diet.
 
i thought so! i just couldn't lift as heavy today. it was a struggle.

i need to find out when i ovulate so i can make sure to lift really heavy then. i was sarting to think i was losing strength!

If you want to figure out EXACTLY when you ovulate (without expensive predictor kits) read the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. Awesome, awesome book that will teach you everything you never knew about your va-jay!
