Benefits of doing each body part once a week

What are the benefits of only doing each body part once a week, like doing the Gym Styles or Slow & Heavy? I currently do full body workouts like PH, ME or MM three times a week and three cardios. I do not need to lose any weight, just like to lose some body fat and tone up. Should I switch to doing each body part once a week or continue doing full body workouts? Thanks.
 
Hi Tennisgirl! All methods provide great results. Variety is the key to keeping your programs fresh and inspiring. If you are currently getting great results on your program, stick with it for now. But if you feel your body has gotten too used to total body workouts, most definitely switch to another method. You will get that nice sore feeling all over again as your muscles happily respond to the change. Once your body has adjusted to that method (usually many weeks later when the results start to level off and you are not feeling as enthusiastic about your workouts)try switching it again. You can again do something different or go back to total body workouts for a while. Its the constant challenge to the muscle that will keep your body fat down and muscle tone optimal :) Of course, you need to eat clean too.
