Being 50 is like being a child again...

TeTe

Cathlete
So, I go to the dentist today, and she tells me that I'll have to start wearing a retainer at night because one of my top front teeth has shifted in such a way that when I bite down, it could chip. Add to that the fact that I missed my last period and had hot flashes and night sweats so bad that I was ready to set up shop in front of the air conditioner 24/7.

So, a retainer and no period...I feel like a 12-year-old!}(

I don't like the idea of a retainer, but I'm more than ready to give up the periods!! Give them up without night sweats that is :)

So Ms. TeTe...does that mean you will up to youthful antics? Somehow I don't think you need a retainer for such inspiration. BTW, I did let Gladys know that you are by far my favorite Pip ;-)

Well, I do keep a youthful attitude. }(

Oh, and as I recall, I had no sex-drive when I was 12 either, so I'm repeating that phase as well. And, if all goes as I've heard, I may be shrinking in height the next couple of years! Joy! Being 5'2", I'm not much taller than I was at 12...but I can't afford to lose inches in that direction!!!

Ah, so glad that I'm someone's favorite something!:)

I am 5'1".

If you get a bone density test regularly, take a bone medication like Actonel, get enough calcium, and do weight bearing exercise, you can actually reverse bone loss if the scan shows osteopenia.

As for being over 50, I love it!

I would not go back to any time in my life. I am happier, healthier and more at peace with myself at almost 53 than ever.
