Good morning you beautiful ladies! Just thought I'd get us started. Just a little bit of lovin' here last night, I"m not sure what happened, DH was a little dysfunctional....first time EVER. How embarrassing. I'm sure it was a fluke.

No workout for me this AM, I was BEAT. I had to get as much sleep as possible. I rounded off the week with 5 workouts, I'm happy with that. Tomorrow is my interval day---I'm thinking a Hardcore Extreme.

My X-coworker had her baby on Wednesday night via emergency c/s. She was due on Oct 3rd. Her & the baby are doing marvelous. Months ago we had a contest---and I won---I was to be the first of coworkers to hold her baby. Now I'm not sure if I can do that or not. Any thoughts...any of you ladies with past m/c have problems holding newborns? I'm really really happy for her, just not sure if I'll breakdown or not. I think I should graciously decline under circumstances. I get emotional with newborns as it is... *sigh*

Anywho...I'm off to work. Catch up with you babes later.

Maggie, Good to see you last night! I always go back and read what's posted after my last one, so rest assured, you're getting read! Sounds lkie busy, but wonderful, days for you. Good for you getting your WO's in - I'm scared that will fall by the wayside for a while.

Melanie, Sorry last night was a non-event! Are you missing your window now for this month? So sorry about the new baby thing. I know when we were trying for Gina (it seemed like forever) I cried at even the SIGHT of a pg lady or new baby. (((hugs)))

Errands and chores here today - how does this need to happen everyday????!!!

Off to get b'fast for the fam - they want pancakes and they're HUNGRY!!!

Hi Ladies,
I wrote long post the other night (Thurs), and I don't know what happened, but it never showed up. I am doing fine here. Dr. appt went well-cervix is closed. So, even though it feels like the baby is going to be born any second, he isn't.
Kate-How is RL pain? How is Gina settling into 1st grade? One of my little girls who is so shy is starting to open up-that's always so neat to see.

Jen M-How was your day off yesterday?

Stephanie-I am glad to hear DS is feeling better now. How are you hanging in?

Nothing too much going on this weekend. I am doing a Silpada jewelry show at 1:00p.m., along with my friend who sells Partylite. I always look forward to shows b/c they are fun (and the hostesses always have such great food).

RL pain is not bad as long as I stay off my step and don't do any lunges. So.....I do my best to not lunge!
Gina actually loves school, and her teacher reports that she is outgiong and happy. It's just the initial separation when this bus picks her up in the AM. I wiah I could drive her, becuase I don't want her hating the bus to turn into her not wanting to go to school
Hope your show is good/fun/yummy food! You are the party queen! Lots of teaacher friends coming?

good morning all
posting before my workout - i will do GS tri/chest today and some sort of cardio. my achilles is bugging me lately and i think its from step. so i think i should find a floor workout of sorts but not sure what

i am very upset this morning

my husband called me around 130am last nite and said i was not going to be happy. i asked what happened. he said he was on a traffic stop, realized he was standing on an ant hill (red in ants in fla are the worst, they can swarm u in no time and bite you and u wont feel them until its too late..sooo painful)

anyway he went to frantically brush them off his leg and he said his wedding ring slipped off his flinger and went flying away. he never heard it land. he had the sgt, lt, and 7 deputies come help him look at night. they blocked a lane and just combed the area. No luck

he was so upset and so was i. i was crying so hard last nite i felt sick. he said it means a lot to him.

we do not have very much money. last year we killed ourselves working overtime just to pay for the wedding and our rings. and his ring wasnt cheap either. it was a platinum wedding band from bailey banks and biddle. I cannot beleive this happened Now some crack head will find it somewhere in the road and pawn it for money. We never have good luck and this is just a prime exacmple of one of the chapters from the story of our lives.

i know its just a material object, but it means something to both of us and it wasnt CHEAP.
How can i afford to buy a new wedding ring? I cant even afford this baby coming my way.

Ok..i need to go, i'm getting myself upset all over again...i just cant believe it...i never wore my rings on duty...it is just so weird how that happened...i wanted to go look for it last nite but he wouldnt tell me the intersection

Jen m- aww man I hope you guys find the ring. maybe some honest person will find it. could you put an add for lost ring? yeah I know alotta people would just sell it. sigh. My Dh has a titanium ring. It looks silver like my platinum but was cheaper. he didn't want me to spend much on his. He wont wear it when doing work or training. Its no slight on me he just doesn't want germs and gook to get under there (medical) and when training hes heard horror stories of people loosing fingers with rings on. Hes even asked if I'd let him tattoo a ring on instead of a real one. If he lost his he'd probably do that. well anyway didn't mean to get off on that. Titanium I think is alot cheaper and really tuff stuff. Its also lighter I think so he thought it was more comfortable. Just an option for a replacement ring if you have to do that. sorry

Kate - I hope she gets used to the bus. I never really liked it either and was glad whenever my parents could drive me. this was all the way up to highschool ha. Yep errands and chores never end!

Jen- sorry your baby didn't come. Sounds like it is really close though? hang in there! have fun at the show.

Melany - I'm sure you could decline on the baby thing.

I feel like I'm beat this morning. hmmm. Is it normal to feel a bit more out of breath when working out right now? (this soon?) I'm definetly moving a bit slower right now. If I don't feel better tonight I won't workout.

JenM, So sorry about the ring. That's awful news. Dh lost his in a pile of woodchips on a job site before. He had every one of his guys stop working and dig theu the pile til they found it. Luckily, they did.

Calvillo, You'll be back at it as soon as your 2nd tri. hits. Keep your chin up! Your blood supply is increasing, your body needs more oxygen, so yes, unfortnately, it's very normal. Thanks for the bus encouragement for Gina - I need all of it I can get!!!

he doesnt work in a very good area. so since they didnt find it last nite its probaby buried, ran over, or just plain long gone...

Ds 7 (with downs) just gave me a big bunch of dandilions and a smile and a hug. I always have to make a big show about putting them in a vase and setting them in the middle of the table, but I'll post first.

Jenm--((((hugs))))--I'm so sorry about your ring. I lost the stone in my original wedding ring and we were unable to replace it, so for a long time, I wore a really cheap ring just to show I was married. When we finally could afford another one, I asked for a plain wedding band like dh's (but white gold)--no stones, no designs, no hassle and relatively cheap, if something happens to it.

Melanie--I think that holding the newborn would be really hard in your circumstances. I'm not sure I could do it without totally breaking down. Does she know about your m/c?

Kate--I'm sure Gina will adjust to the bus ride soon. You won't have to worry so much about working out post partum, as you have gained such a small amount of weight. I, on the other hand...sigh...If I get down to normal sizes again (which seems doubtful and far away), I will post "before" and "after" pics, but it's too demoralizing to post anything now.

Jen--hang in there--you are getting close! The last month is so hard. Have a great party.

Jess--I get ridiculously winded whilst pregnant--increased blood volume, definitely plays a role.

Melanie ~ I took students into the hospital for OB clinicals a couple of months after my m/c and held up ok.

Kate ~ I am sorry Gina doesn't enjoy the bus ride. Do you know why she dislikes it? Is it just the separation?

Jen ~ Enjoy your party! I have posts disappear too.

JenM ~ (((((HUGS))))) I am so sorry about the ring. Yes, it is a material object but sentimental value is priceless and in some cases irreplacable.

calvillo ~ Kate is right, your blood volume begins increasing the first trimester, increases rapidly in the 2nd tri, and levels off the 3rd. Another factor is the increased progesterone, which increases respiratory effort causing dyspnea and shortness of breath.

Maggie ~ I put dandilions in a vase too. My DD's language of love is giving cards & gifts. I really don't know where I am going to store all the cards & pics she gives me...... I refuse to discard anything that says "I love you". I've started scrapbooks.....yes, books.

Today is a yucky day for me. I am exhausted. I don't sleep well and may discuss this with my OB at the next appt.

I am off to find something to eat. Toodles!

Melanie-I think it would be harder if it wasnt a good friends baby. I know when we went to TN to see by best friends baby I could not wait to get my hands on her and loved holding her. But if it was just some radom "friend" I don't think I could do it. Hang in there!

Kate-hey! so glad Isabel loves school. I think driving Gina to school would be harder on her. I had a long drive when Haley was in the 1st grade and that child cried the entire 20 drive..EVERYDAY. She is loving school and her teacher this year.
Maggie-so great to hear from you. Your ds7 is a sweetie!

Jen M., I am so sorry to hear about your DH's ring. I would be very upset too. I am sure it's so frustrating for you (and for him) too. Keep your chin up!

The party was a good one...I got a booking so I am happy. I am not doing any more Silpada shows until November...then I have 3. It's really nice extra income, and when I am off of work, it will come in handy. The only bad part is that I had to wear my ugly black pregnancy shoes (wide width) b/c my feet are so swollen. And, for the food, there was a veggie tray and one dessert. So, I was HUNGRY. My friend and I stopped at McD on the way back, and I had a quarter pounder. I NEVER eat quarter pounders.

Whoever made the comment about whale sex at this point was so right on. Hey, at least it's still happening.

I have not had pain the past 2 days, so maybe I will try a workout tomorrow. I just got home and need to put my swollen feet up.

Maggie, Very sweet on the dandelions! My girls do this often too. I really have to fight the urge to not trash the weeds immediately.. They love to watch me put them in a vase and fuss over them, but inside I'm thinking "oh, yuck, another thing to clean up after!" Does this make me a bad mom?!?!?

JenP, Glad you had a good show! Sorry about the ugly shoes! I had some for DD1 and boy, am I glad I don't need those babies again!

Susan, I hope you guys stay safe! That's awful that Haley had to go thru that. GLad to hear she came out unscathed! Hoping next month is THE MONTH for you!

Autumn, The separation is the biggest thing for her. She went to a friend's bday party this evening and she cried for 20 minutes that I had to leave her! I hope you sleep well tonight - you're not supposed to start that til your 3rd tri!!!

Busy day here. WO was Classical Stretch Essentrics Lower Body. A good way to get my LB work in without weights. I had completely forgot about this until I came across it today! I got a lot of organizing/nesting done with my office stuff! Hopefully more tomorrow.

Thank you for the encouragement everyone. I appreciate it. Im still bummed about the ring. I kind of wish we went to look in the daylight but he didnt want to

so..my day was uneventful besides feeling down. I did KPC and GS Tris/Chest (thats theonly workout that still gives me DOMS).
I hung out with DH before he left for work. We had clam chowder and grilled cheese for lunch, and later on neopolitan ice cream with choclate sauce. Ive been snacking a lot today, mostly out of boredom

So around 7 i decdied to tackle a closet in the office/soon to be nursery. i went thru the mess of a filing cabinet and shredded and threw out lots of unnecessary papers. It took me like 2 hours. Not fun. but it kept me out of the kitchen. i was bored online - nothing to look at anymore, noone to chat with!

Anyway, my dad is a realtor and his coworker has a client giving away a free crib so he asked if i wanted it. I said maybe, lets see pics! He sent them a few hours ago. Its a white crib and pretty standard looking - its not the old fashioned style like i have on my registry but more modern. Supposedly its only 2 months old and they paid $750 for it..um, for a crib? Maybe i'm looking on the wrong sites but i thought cribs were about 250 lol. Anyway i'm awiting to hear back from them about pickup and if it is indeed FREE. We like the price, which makes us like the crib even more!

I also found a great amoire on craigslist that abies r us sells for about 400...only in cherry. this lady has a beautiful white one that looks brand new. she also has a great changing table/dresser combo i want as well. im also waiting to hear back from her. its like noone wants to get back to me. maybe cuz i'm sitting around alone like a loser on a saturday nite organizing file cabinets lol


anyway, enough about me, i've talked everyone's ears off...

i hope you all had a great saturday. hard to believe it is sunday already!!

ps its ok to eat a quarter pounder every now and then. im such an oinker this trimester...
and ps its ok if you dont like dandelions, that doesnt make you a bad mom!

sigh..i just tried calling my husband. he wasnt answering earlier (always busy at work) . He finally picked up but has to call me back. He's in the middle of an arrest. Must be a busy nite. He's only been at work four hours and he has brought two people to jail that i know of since he start at 6pm..He's such a good crime fighter...

i meant to say in my above post that its almost sunday already, not its sunday already...dont want to rush the weekend!
