Basement a/c--oh my!

This was the best $400 I have ever spent! I got the thing yesterday. I didn't go high end or anything since I'll only be using it about 2 hours a day, but OMG what a difference! Yesterday morning I was dripping sweat, gasping & having a tough time breathing, today I kicked butt!

I am so glad I broke down & bought that sucker. :D

I did, of course, have extra parts after I assembled it. Hmmm, I wonder what they're for?

Makes a huge difference, doesn't it? For me the room temperature has a huge impact on how well my workouts go. (Which is why you will find me DIRECTLY under the Big A$$ Fans this weekend!!) And it's also why I do my workouts with two floor fans pointed directly at me.

Sent you a PM, BTW.

I so agree. I have central air but you know there are always those cold spots and warm spots in a house. I do the treadmill in my bedroom and my "gym" is the dining room (Annoying but, fortunately, I live alone). I hope to move all my fitness stuff to one front bedroom but it doesn't get anywhere near as cool as the rooms I work out in now. When I make that switch I'm going to need a strong window unit and a ceiling fan. Even in my cool bedroom, when I'm on the treadmill I work out with two giant fans, the two fans on my treadmill AND I continually mist myself with ice water. I overheat fast and even though I prefer having the windows open (on cooler summer days) to being shut in with the a/c I always get better results and can stand a tougher workout when I do it in a room as cold as a meat locker! You are going to wonder how you ever did without it. I know you're glad you spent the money.
