I had originally posted this question under the "video/DVD discussion" forum, but was adviced by a wiser member (Thank you Kathryn!!!!) to post this question here as the other forum is only for discussing Cathe videos. Hey...I am learning here!!! :)

In another post, someone made mention of this workout. Can anyone share with me what this workout is and has anyone tried this?

Thank you!

try this:

I like it although I don't like the workout area. It's kinda dark. But, the workouts themselves are pretty good. You get about 30mins of weight work and then you can opt for cardio on the floor or a TM run. Those times vary from tape to tape. The TM run on one workout tape is about 16mins long and the longest run on another tape is about 28mins long. I know those are short, but GOSH, they are TOUGH!!! So is the cardio on the floor!!!

HTH
take care:)

I've only done the non-treadmill cardio and the weight workouts. I really like them.....although they don't cool you down or stretch you at the end of the cardio. The cardio is short but very intense. I was sore all week when I did these. I also lost a pound and the scale hasn't budged in a long time. I like Barry the best out of all of the instructors. I will go back to using these once I play with my new Cathe's and Amy's for a while.

I thought these were really "eh." Depends on what your preference is, I guess. I much prefer Cathe, TJs, and Kimberly Spreen.

I really, really like them. I like that there are 2 cardio options. They have some tough strength segments (some moves i've never seen). IMO, they are an excellent addtion to your workout collection. There are more reviews on www.videofitness.com.

I have it, and have previewed all and done the Arms and abs workout. At first, I didn't like Barry much (that annoying Jersey accent), but after I watched the whole workout he grew on me.

The Arms workout gave me some good DOMS (lots of supersetting between exercises for the same muscle group, and some holds that are quite challenging). I did the cardio workout as well (the non-treadmill option). All the cardio is very high impact (so not good to do on consecutive days), and the warm-ups are non-exisitant.

Some of the weight workouts have pretty bad 'warm-ups" as well (as in barely a warm-up, and stretching cold muscles) so I think I'll add on my own.

I was planning on doing a BB rotation, but then I got some other workouts (that I had also preordered, including Cathe's) and I'm doing a 'too many workouts, too little time'lack-of-rotation instead!

I've just completed my third week of Barry's Bootcamp and I LOVE it!
I look forward to doing them every day. I'm going to move on to P90X after completing six weeks of bootcamp, but I will revisit these again.

I'm a huge Barry fan. I find him funny and motivating.
I personally like the gym setting and the fact they use real bootcamper's who struggle just as I do. I wouldn't recommend these for a beginner. I would say they are for intermediate to advanced.

I do the treadmill sessions using my elliptical and it works great.

They are working on more workouts and I look forward to them.
