Barry's Bootcamp or Swat workout, which one to buy?

Hi everyone,

I was trying to decide which of these workout sets I want to order. Can you give me descriptions of these if you have them and your opinion of which seems better? I appreciate your opinions. Thank you.:)

I do not have Swat but I do have Barry's BC and really like it.

The treadmill section can be used with a recumbant bike or treadmill. It clocks in at 30 min. and with my bike can be pretty intense. The non-treadmill portion is only 20 min. basic high impact aerobics but can be made low impact if you have "blinky" knees like me. If you like complex choreography you will be bored.

The weight sections is pretty straight forward and some of the exercisers (imo) use questionable form but if you have been working out with Cathe you should know what correct form is. The set is dark and looks a little cramped. I don't remember much about the music. (I have not done the toning only dvd as of yet)

It is definately a keeper for me and I hope Barry comes out with more.

I just received my SWAT workouts and I am getting rid of them. I think they are too basic especially if you have been doing cathe for awhile. 4 workouts on ONE tape..yep, they are that short!!! Tom is a great guy and cute too. He has great TV presence but his workouts just don't cut it for me! sorry!

BBC: love these, they are more intense along the same lines as cathe, IMHO. the cardio and TM portions are great too! The guys are easy on the eyes!!:D

take care:)

I love Barry's Bootcamp. I lost almost 2 lbs in less than 2 weeks so far...it helped break my plateau. With the full body workout day I usually will run too since its only 45 minutes long. The rest of the workouts are an hour. I would love to have a treadmill to mix it up more and use that portion of the dvd.

I just ordered BBC after hearing many rave reviews myself! I have not heard of anyone from the Cathe boards NOT liking it so far!!!!}(

I have both sets. I love Barry's Bootcamp. SWAT's aren't that bad though. They are short and don't have a w/u or c/d but it's the first thing that's gotten me sore in a while. I did the Weightloss followed by the Strength and Abs/Core for the past few weeks and because it's nonstop weight lifting, I actually got sore. This is really good for me, as I've not even been getting sore from Cathe worktous lately. I used a lot heavier weigts than they ibut had to keep lowering my weights as I went along. So, it was basically like doing drop sets. Yes, Tom does have a great screen presences and he is a nice guy. Why don't you email him with your sugestions for his next series of workouts, as he's very receptive to feedback. I sort of like the fact that the workouts are on 1 DVD.....saves on room.

I also lost a pound or 2 when I did Barry's Bootcamp for a few weeks when I first got them. I really like that set.

I'm doing a BBC rotation this week.
I've been tempted by the SWAT workouts, but their length and intensity don't sound like enough.
Good news: I've read that they plan on doing more advanced workouts in the future, so while this batch may not be appealing, perhaps future offerings will be.
