Bargain alert -- Rykas

TarHeelMom

Cathlete
Hi folks -- I was researching where to replace my Rykas this morning and found that www.onlineshoes.com has both Rhythm I & II and Enlight I & II on a great sale -- the II's are on holiday special, and the I's are at clearance prices. Check out this link:
http://www.onlineshoes.com/synopsispage.asp?type=brand&brandid=51&brandcatid=catall&gen=w

Also, www.holabirdsports.com has a decent size selection and good sale price on Stylus, if you can believe that. Here's the link:
http://www.holabirdsports.com/cgi-b...erange=null&category=current&submit=Go+Search

For those of you who are die-hard Ryka wearers and want a black shoe for KickMax, notice that both of these sites have the Rhythm II in BLACK.

I am actually replacing Stylus but it wasn't my favorite style, so I'm going to forego this sale and try the Enlights that Cathe used last spring and liked -- they are on clearance at onlineshoes.com REALLY cheap! Santa will bring them to me.

Happy shopping! :)

DebbieH -- girlfriend, are you going to be able to resist buying some new Rykas??? ;-)

Thanks for the links! I wanted some new black workout shoes, but have a hard time finding non-leather ones (vegan). The Rhythm's are synthetic and mesh..yay!

My heavens!! I WANT RYKAS!!! Online shoes does not appear to ship to Canada. Why oh why is it so difficult to get Rykas in Canada?? I know they sell really well; what's the deal?

Frustrated.

Hi Jo!

Great to "see" you!! What are ya gonna buy? I ended up ordering the Enlights (as I said) AND the Rhythm II's (gotta have a spare pair). And Santa had already ordered me the black Avias. Oh my! :)

Now, in my defense, I must say that I'm working out in a pair of Ryka Stylus's that should have been retired four or five months ago, and I can feel it with every workout. These three pair should do me for a while if I rotate them, right??? That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

RE: Hi Jo!

Good to "see" you too! I have one pair of Rykas that I don't even know the model they're so old but they are my favorite! I usually only wear them for weight days as there is not much cushion left. But, with that said, I just recently bought a pair of enlight II but I have also recently decided I love the Ryka running shoes. So, I'm going to get the KM 6 (I know they're not on sale...but free shipping and no sales tax - gotta do it!). I'll probably also try a pair of the the black Rhythms. I haven't had a pair of black aerobic shoes since I had some Reeboks back in...198* - ha! I don't even want to say! :)

With that said...back to Rykas - they are the best shoes for my feet. Nothing fits me as well - so that explains the 7 pair I already have. Now that's MY story and I'm sticking to it! :) :)

RE: Hey Sandra (Fiddlefit)!

Kathy, that thought had crossed my mind, but I couldn't think of anyone I knew well enough in the US to ask them to do this for me. There aren't any problems with customs or anything like that. Are you serious about offering to help? That would be awesome, but I also don't want you to do anything you're uncomfortable with. I am very trustworthy, but unfortunately you can only take my word at that.

This would be so fantastic. I would probably want to buy two pairs.

RE: Hey Sandra (Fiddlefit)!

Sandra, I'm completely serious, my friend, and I'd be happy to help assuming I'm not breaking any laws! :) All you'd have to do is have the shoes shipped to me, and when they arrive I'll send them to you. E-mail me and we'll figure out the details. I will say this: you'll want to go ahead and order quickly and select some kind of shipping option from onlineshoes.com that would make sure your shoes get to me before I'm out of town -- you don't want your boxes sitting on my front porch unattended for a week!

My e-mail is [email protected]. Look forward to hearing from ya!

Grrrr!

Will you stop already? Don't tempt me anymore. I just got my black Avia's plus a black velour warm-up set. (Not to mention all the goodies we have been buying for our new home!:7) I WILL resist going to those links, I will, I will! I'll let you know the damage I do after I check the links out! :)

RE: Hey Sandra (Fiddlefit)!

Hi Kathy,

I just sent you two emails :) And I am pretty sure this is all legal. When (if) you send me the shoes, you would just call them a gift on the customs shipping form. And since it is Christmas, this is definitely a gift for me!!! DH is going to be paying for them :)

Cheers,
Sandra

Sizing?

Ok, I KNOW someone has asked about Ryka sizing before, but since this is a new thread, I thought it would be safe to ask - how true is their fit? If I wear a size 9 shoe and a 9.5-10 for workout shoes (for extra toe room), should I stick to my 9.5 - 10????
This is a great price!!!!
Thanks!!
Courtney

RE: Sizing?

Hi everyone, I would also be curious to know people's thoughts on Ryka sizing since I sometimes find them a bit tight. I guess that might be lacing.

Also, has anyone tried the Asics gel shoes, specifically the 210-TRs? I was wondering if those give even better protection against jarring.

Anyway, thanks for any opinions you can offer!

Kristen

Kathy,

Thanks for the info. I could not resist those prices so I ordered two pairs - a pair of Enlights and a pair of Rhythm.

Don't forget about ebates! I used them when I placed my order and got my 5% credit already. Every little bit helps!
BTW, these will be my first pair of Rykas - I can't wait! I ordered the Enlights. They are supposed to be here Wednesday!

I JUST bought a pair Ryka Enlights this weekend at Dick's Sporting Goods for $65 and came home to find this thread! (Phooey!) The ones I bought are on clearance at onlineshoes.com for $41.98. My regular shoe size is an 8 1/2, sometimes a 9, and the Enlights I bought are a size 9 1/2. I did Plyo X this morning and they felt great.

Thanks for the (too late) tip, Kathy!:)

Sizing!

I normally wear a 7 and on occasion a 7 1/2, but with Ryka's I have to get 8's. They tend to run small.

DebbieH --RE: Grrrr!

Hey girlfriend! Heck no, I won't stop. }( I want you to spend JUST as much money on your house PLUS yourself as your poor (and I mean that now literally!) pal in Atlanta has done! Misery loves company, ya know?

Black velour warmup set, huh? Sounds SO comfy. Did you get that online (she says, hoping her friend will post a link... ;-))

Hey Deb, on a totally unrelated note, I thought about you as I did your favorite, L&G, yesterday afternoon for the first time in ... let's just say quite a while. I'm kinda sorta back on track and felt ready. Man, did that one just whip my fanny good!!!!!

RE: Sizing!

Oh now see, I've had exactly the opposite happen with me. I normally wear a size 10 but can wear a 9.5 in Rykas (both pairs I've owned).
