Bad habits are hard to break - what's your secret?

I used to be such a good doobie when it came to eating very well and exercise. It was a priority and nothing got in the way. As of late, I am in a new situation at work (opening my own business), new situation at home (moved in with BF about 6 months ago) and just recovering from a back injury/strain. I know that my workouts and eating were effected by my injury but I am doing pretty well now (occasional sensitivity) and still having trouble being "good."

I've never had such a hard time getting back to a regime and better habits. Does anyone have tips or things that work to share?

Hi Christine,

What has worked for me is to schedule your workouts as you would an appt. Look at your day and find 45 minutes or a hour where you can fit in a workout. I workout at 6:30pm as this is the only time that I can fit it in during the day. For the most part I stick to this schedule unless something critic comes up. This has worked for me for 9 years.

The good eating hopefully will fall in line once you get the workouts going again. I am always motivated to eat better and stay on track when I'm working out on a consistent basis.

HTH,

I can't help with working out because I am in the same boat. But for the food part, I only eat bad the week before TOM. I have a diabetic sister and I am tough on her when she doesn't follow her regime. One day I thought that I had to be tough with myself too even if I was healthy!! it worked.
