I'M BACK!!!!!
OMG, can I tell you how awful it is not to have internet access?
Although I must say that the usual dull ache I have running throughout the bone in my right arm completely disappeared.
My flights were uneventful and the no creams/liquids/gels thing was not much of a big deal. But I really had to push the steward to convince him it would be a ton easier on him if he would just give me a whole bottle of water. (And later he did.)
I have finally caught up on all your guys' activities (actually, I'm feelin' the ache in my right arm again, heh). Hurt feet, kitty collars, ellipticals, Lowmax, tons of cardio, printers, 2 hours of cardio (?!?!), Turbo Jam, Jack Schitt (pfff!), the kitty one (totally cute!), Cardio Coach, IWT, tons more cardio (?!?!), lots of pushups, new jobs, nutty PT beeach (that I first read with great interest as "natty peanut butter batch"), possible lawsuits (that SUCKS, Jana, I'm so sorry to hear that), DOMS and outrageous leg weight workouts, bench pressing 90 excuse ME?!, 5 Factor Fitness (never heard of it - want to hear more!), wailing children, Michele reading...WTF? No, I must have read that wrong, soggy rocks LOL, conditioning but in a hair kind of way...
Sorry, I guess you guys didn't need the Hate Cardio Cliff Notes.
And all the references to missing me made me feel sooooo good, you guys. I totally, totally missed you!!
So let me see! My trip home was really good, aside from the friggen dial-up LOL. The ton of DVD workouts I ordered were all delivered so I had a ton of new workouts to try out and what did I do? Christi's Happy Hour. I've become a dancing fool! I've become the elliptical Michele version, and the Turbo Jam Jana version of August Happy Hour. WHAT HAS BECOME OF US?! We're all reading books about eating and diligently working out and it's not even holiday season time LOL!!
And.......while in the States, I decided to chill back and just eat without weighing everything and doing my little scientific ratios and whatnot. I also decided since it had been such a long time to go back to the States, that I would just treat myself to what I wanted. I ended up eating pretty healthfully anyway - lots of chicken breast and nonfat cottage cheese, lots of veggies (no green beans LOL), lots of fresh berries, and lots of whole grains (no barley LOL)...and downed it with whatever dessert I deemed worthy, and man almighty are there worthy desserts a-plenty in the States! They were all totally incredible, but I must say that hands-down best was a goopy oatmeal cake I found with wedding cake icing. Flipped me out.
Upon arriving back in my Japan apartment and heading to the kitchen, I found what I at first thought was a shriveled up old leaf from my plant, but on further inspection, I realized it was actually the remains of a very shriveled up green bean. It was totally funny.
Anyway, it was really actually refreshing not measuring every single thing I ate (I know, hard to believe - sarcastic eye roll here), so I'm going to try that out for a little bit and see how it goes (until, that is, Michele finishes reading BFFM and kicks my butt into gear ). I'm thinking I did the measuring enough now that I do kind of have a sense of portion size. And I'm going off sugar again. It was a happy feeding session, and I had my fill.
Wow, this is really long. Are you sure you missed me? LOL.
And now to exercise. I'm trying out a different plan for my rotation. I got both new Jari Love workouts, so this month I'm going to use them for my weights, three times a week. On the other days I'm going to do cardio - I've got lots of new step and hi-low workouts, after all! I can actually do something other than kickboxing now! Woo! The only problem is that I have so many new ones I'm completely overwhelmed and confused how to figure out which ones to use LMAO.
Hey, Michele, I know you've been glued to your new machine, but did you give Cardio Collectibles a try? I tried it this morning and LOVED the hi-low! Hail Christi! (sorry, Kate.)
Oh! And I got a heart rate monitor, so at least I can be anal about numbers with that, haha. Except that I can't figure it out yet.
Anyway, it's great to be back. Three cheers to the mighty fine residents of Cardiohatesville!
