back from cathe break

ok, so for the past month or so i've been on a cathe hiatus. i've decided to do more cardio (elliptical or treadmill) and very limited weight training. My workout has been as follows:
monday: 40 min run, chest press, tricep dips, squat, abs
tuesday: 40 min elliptical, lat pulldown, bicep curl, deadlifts, abs
wednesday: 40 min run, inner/outer thigh work, shoulders, abs
thursday: 40 min elliptical, chest fly, tricep extensions, lunge, abs
friday: 40 min run, bent over row, hammer curl, leg curls
sat and sun off
I performed the exercises doing 3 sets of 10-12 lifting as heavy as i could for each set. abs were just one exercise per workout for 50 reps. Doing this, i've lost 3lbs but i'm starting to miss cathe. i feel as though my body is responding better to cardio than weights but i want to get back to GS and S&H but i'm happy how streamline my body has become. Any tips? I'm also finding that i do so much better on 3 meals a day vs. 5 or 6. i become food obsessed with mini meals and i'm never satisfied and i end up eating more cals when i do frequent meals.

Were you running before? Do you think its because you changed your workout and shocked your body a different way? I have also the past couple of weeks have taken a break from Cathe. Only because I haven't been motivated in the am and have been going to the gym and taking classes spin etc. I have noticed worse results but that is also because I am not eating as clean as I should. I think maybe it could be two thing. One being you switched things up and two maybe even though you are still working hard your muscles might be recovering more from just doing the 3 sets instead of full hours??
 
I too took a 6 week break from cathe and did only taebo, amy bento and no lifting at all. results were not great, because I also changed up my eating because it was becoming all consuming eating 6 mini meals. Well, I have been back to Cathe for 2 weeks now and wow, I am noticing great results. Maybe it was the rest, or maybe a shock to the body, but I am glad to be back. I also have given up the mini meals and back to 3 squares a day. It works for me!
 
i think my body does better with more cardio so i think that may be one reason why i've gotten good results. its hard for me to do cardio on cathe's weight training days b/c she wears me out LOL. i think what i'll do is do some intervals on weight training days for shorter duration like 20 min and then on non-weight training days i'll do longer cardio sessions.
