Back from Alaska!

I'm back from my trip to Alaska and it was great! Not only did my tooth hold out, but every single day was sunny, bright and warm! Everywhere we went, the sun went with us. :)

The most amazing part for me was that I was relaxed enough to read 2 books for pleasure. I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but I can't read at home at all because I have trouble concentrating. This was the first time I was able to read a book in years.

The pilates classes on the cruise were great! Challenging, but doable, and my abs ached for a day or two afterwards. I'm a new pilates convert!

I can't wait to read what's been happening on the boards. Unfortunately, we had a computer disk crash while we were gone, and DH needs for me to shut down for the rest of the day so he can repair our computer system. I hope I can come back and read what's been happening tomorrow. I'll also post a few pics for those who are interested.

Can't wait to find out what's been happening with everyone! It's great to be back!

Thanks guys! Our system is back up and running.

For those interested in Alaska, it is as breathtakingly beautiful as they say, and then some. The glaciers are magnificent and are melting fast. I saw bears, caribou, moose and wolves and feasted on salmon and halibut almost every day. I even walked on a glacier.

I don't know a single person who has been to Alaska who doesn't highly recommend it, and I happily add my name to that list!

Hi, Lori! First I started with a Patricia Cornwall mystery, and then I read the Kite Runner. Has anyone else read the Kite Runner? What a great book!!

Hi Nancy, So glad you are back. And that all ended up so well, considering the start. What was your favorite part of Alaska? I was there about 20 years ago and loved Juneau.
