I think it's important after a tough lower body workout like this, to not sit around alot afterwards, which makes you sorer and stiffer. Walk around a bit, like plan to go to Walmart to shop and walk through the aisles. If you do the workout, then shower, then just sit around the rest of the day (or do it close to bedtime, so won't be moving for 8 hours), you will regret it more than if you keep moviing to flush that lactic acid out of the muscles and keep circulation going.
(I did an 11-mile walk the other day, and avoided major soreness by keeping active afterwards, including a walk through Walmart).
