August Check In ***Thursday 21rst***

HI Guys:)
I don't need to make up a rotation I just do whatever I feel like LOL. I ended up doing LM Blast only then 4DS Kick box cardio then 4DS calves:)

Ahhhhhhh... The day is almost done. I'm so tired today. It's the time I'm "supposed" to have my period. But being on the Pill, I don't get it :))). I am extremely fatigued though. I actually took a towel this afternoon, laid it out on the lawn in the sun, and read a magazine for about 1/2 hour. It felt awesome, and I think revived me a little too.

I forgot to tell you guys, I did a 10 minute stretch with the band after my PS workout today. I picked up a 10 Minute Solutions: Pilates w/ a band yesterday at Walmart. It was $9 and came with a band, so what the heck! It had a 10 minute "Flexibility" segment. It felt good to do!

Joanne: Thanks for peaking at Alex's haircut! He , strangely enough, loves it too! He just wanted it long SOMEWHERE, and the back fits the bill, so he's happy!

Lori: Your run sounds so nice! Hi-5's on running up that hill!! And also on the loss this week!! Are you going to keep to Core ? how are you liking it? I bet your hair looks great too...

Ivy: sorry you're still fighting with Fay! Ugh!!

Randi: You're too funny! You apparently pick the right workouts as you go along.... You know how to mix them up. I had no idea there was a LM blast only! Cool!

Have a great evening everyone!...

Hey anyone who's up late enough to see this (it seems most everyone but Hottie and I are east coast, no?). Well, my day did not turn out as planned. Long story short, I got my car wedged and stuck on top of a big log (think telephone pole on the ground). Took a while to get unwedged and mood was sort of spoiled, so we did not go to the boardwalk afterall. I get the bad driver of the week award, for sure, and it's things like this that make "average" drivers that none of us want to be! :)

Hottie, yes, MIC has some hi-lo, and I'm not fond of it either, but I did find the step portion boring -- I think I was just in a mood! My husband does not like amusement parks because he thinks they are "manufactured fun" -- being entertained, rather than entertaining yourself. He's a big believer in creating things, and he just hates to see the kids doing anything at all "passive" like that. I say a little bit of it sparks their imagination/creativity, and a little bit of balance in all things are ok. That said, I'd much rather go to a non-disney sort of thing. Sorry if I'm offending any disney fans!! And, can I just say that I'd love to meet you & your husband? He sounds like a hoot -- does Cathe and owns spice girls. That said, I know nothing about the spice girls, and yet I knew it was Posh, because my friend also got the Posh cut, Lori! It's a very cute style. And yes, coloring always takes some courage -- just remember it's hair and it'll grow.

Ok, I'm off to design an entertainment center that I hope my husband will build in his not-so-spare time. Creating his own fun......

Ha! Well Beth, we can just keep the forum going as Cali girls. But that's a pretty amusing story about the car. But everyone sometimes has their bad driving day. My most recent one happened exiting an SC parking lot where I don't know why I didn't see the pedestrian but I felt so bad afterwards that I rolled down the window and yelled so he could hear, "Dude, I'm so sorry -- I brain farted and apparently I'm a driving do***!" The ped who was previously very pissed off with me was just so taken back to me apologizing that he started laughing. As long as no one gets hurt, its easier just to laugh it off right?

Re: amusement parks -- this may sound incredibly geeky...well, because it is -- but when I was old enough I was taught the physics of rollercoasters when I went on one trip. I like amusement parks solely for rollercoasters, anything else I find sort of boring. And...I hate giving the Mouse money (we have a couple friends who work for Disney so after learning how the inside works, I hate giving them money even more). I think there's some kind of Astro-camp near here because before you start your frosh year at Caltech, you go to "Frosh Camp" somewhere nearby. The year after me I think went to Astro-camp. My DH and my sister got to go to Catalina Island. I (totally not kidding) got to go to...Baptist camp. Or I should say, we were lodged at Baptist camp and then we did geeky things on their grounds. It was fun, but not exactly the science themed place most of us thought we were going to.

But yeah, my hubbie and I are a weird group...we do the opposite attract thing. :) But don't encourage him too much! The music thing has always been funny. One time a friend was going through our CD collection and said, "well, I can tell which ones are hers and which ones are his" and he got it completley reversed. He was floored that DH owned the Spice Girls and that I owned the Metallica. That said, we have an awesomely varied ITunes Library.

Lori, I wouldn't know anything about hair color. My parents are from India so I have hair that's so black salons don't have anything dark enough to match me. I always wanted to try it but I think I would need too much bleach to make any differene though. But here's just another tidbit to realize how weird DH and I are. When I started dating my husband, he had long dark purple hair to his waist. Now he has his hair short, wears a tie on a weekly basis, and works in a huge corporate law office. That wasn't even 10 years ago!

Alrighty, off to cooling my apartment so I can do LIS!

Who's the instructor on your DVD? I was looking at a bunch of the 10 minute DVD and thinking about picking one up.

Chris -- it sounds like you got a good deal on that dvd + band. By the way -- were you doing MIC when your left calf hurt the other day? I know you had a previous injury, but when I was doing MIC, I felt a twinge in my left calf and thought of you.

Hottie -- I can completely understand the allure of the coaster. I have friends who early in their married life planned their vacations around roller coasters. Funny about the music collection -- I always love it when people have a wide variety of stuff to look through. Me, I fall somewhere in between you and your hubby.

I was once on Catalina Island -- there's (or used to be anyway) a private boarding school there that a friend taught at, so we went for a visit. Funny, I just saw some California IMAX movie with my kids (at the tech museum earlier this week) and they were putting a newly-hatched bald eagle back in a nest on Catalina and I told my kids we ought to go there someday. In reality, I'm not sure -- my one experience was just hanging out at that school and hiking.

Ok, I'm getting tired even in PST -- my sleep's been strange lately.....
