Good morning ladies..

Getting us started today...Scheduled for me is a stretch day....

Ok, be back later..Gotta keep the kids on track with their lessons..

Hey Kathy!
Hey All!

Got back late from the beach last night. It was a wonderful, beautiful, beachy day. I think the day and 1/2 was just enough. the car ride home was long though. Had some crappy traffic back ups and Zach's blood sugars went haywire too.

Unfortunately, I *found* Salt Water Taffy while away, and now , need to go work off that GOO! Horrible eating, but I'm ready to fix that... (I think!)

After feeding the kitties, I'll go play with IMAX2!

BBL!

Good morning! Chris, glad you had a good time -- I think Hottie is doing/did Imax 2 today, too.

We still haven't left yet, obviously. Larry spent the last couple of days getting the van ready -- he put up wiring so we could hang hammocks for the boys to sleep in -- that took quite a while -- but it's sturdy and will hold adults. And then yesterday built a platform for a futon that we can sleep on. There's a pic on fb if you're interested. He claims it's going to take a long time to pack today and that we'll not even make it as far as San Francisco by tonight because we'll get such a late start. We'll see. He and the boys (and Gina) slept in the van last night and he's still out there!!! I've already packed the boys and my clothes, and I've set out a bunch of Larry's clothes to see if it meets with his approval. :) But we need to get the stuff for canoeing, fishing, etc. still. Way more detail than you guys care about! Sorry.

After doing ME yesterday, I did the P57 Classic today -- it's 57 minutes of total body. The only part I really felt I shouldn't be doing the day after Cathe was the arms -- their arm work is pretty traditional. But all the lower body stuff is so different I just don't think it matters to do it two days in a row. I'm fried. Some of the ab work was not very hard, some of it was incredibly hard. Had to take lots of breaks. Chris, I really think you should check out the clips (this is your reminder), but just note that apparently Kelly Ripa plugged them on her show and not only was the site impossible to get on, but they had already been on backorder, so now it may be forever to get them. I guess half of America thinks they can look like Kelly Ripa if they order.......

Kathy, maybe you could come get my kids for lessons! ;) Hope you enjoy your stretch. I think today was technically my 8th day in a row of working out, but I couldn't see just doing a stretch when I may have a week ahead of me of not much in the way of workouts. We'll hike, and honestly, I'm crazily thinking of taking my kbell with me to get some strength work in with that -- we'll see.

Hi all!

Beth, doesn't it seems like sometimes you need a vacation after all the prep to just get ready for the vacation?? ;) So, will you be camping for the entire week? Have a great time - hope I haven't missed you. Although it sounds like you're not quite ready to walk out the door yet!! Well, I caved and ordered Physique 57. I think I ordered the day before Kelly Ripa mentioned them. Hopefully mine will get out before the rush of Kelly orders!

Hi Chris - welcome back! Glad you had a good time. At least the salt water taffy is gone and out of sight, right? Unless you brought lots home! ;) Anyways, calories don't count on vacation.

Hi Kathy. Happy stretching!

Today was ME. I love that workout. It's like an old friend. I did drop the weight for the last two sets of leg presses, though. I was thinking of doing an itread, but I didn't sleep too well - I'm kind of dragging. I'll do some good cardio tomorrow. Probably not the bike since it's supposed to be 96 degrees. We'll see.

Not sure what I'll do for the rotation next week since I have to take a few days off.

Hottie, I think you said you are getting STS? Cool!

Have a good day all.

BBL...

Joanne

Joanne, in fact Larry's so happy to not be at work he keeps saying we should just stay home and be on vacation, so there's no hurry to leave (on his part, and if you know us at all, you know that Larry is the driver in this household -- on all things). I'm not anxious, the kids are fine, so whatever...... we'll get out the door eventually..... we probably will get a motel here and there so we can shower! We like our comforts..... :D

I'm glad you're getting P57s -- you'll have to let me know what you think. They seemed to be on backorder even before Kelly said anything, so who knows, but you'll be ahead of a big crowd. I wonder if they are giving Kelly free classes for life -- they have to be selling so many more because of her!!

ETA: I just found out they are doing one more zumba session at school this morning -- I'm tempted to go! It's so fun.....

Good morning! Well, I woke up before Beth (though I admit, our neighbor's incredibly loud sprinkler system helped) but I lounged around eating breakfast, taking my vitamins, you know morning stuff. Man, Evee was sooo excited to see me up before her this morning. My mother had bought her this $30 tug rope that was pretty heavy duty and she grabbed it like it were a huge stick and carried it to me so we could play. I'm worried though because she keepts on chewing the plastic through things. I'm half tempted to cut them off completely because I'm pretty sure she swallowed some pieces. But I got some personal tiem in with Joe before he went off to run with Evee and I went off to avoid IM2. I did it eventually and it was good though I have to say, its very hard to work out when your eyes want to close to sleep. Joe came in to finish his workout with elliptical work so he was in the room with me while I worked out. It has been a while since he's been around as I worked out (at least cardio) and he remarked not remembering how hard IM2 looked and then was impressed with my tenacity to get IM3 down. I may not have lost any weight this summer but if I can do IM3 in its entirety a couple more times, I'll feel great abotu wmy work this summer. I have a lot planned today and i'm in lab for over 10 hours but a lot of it is waiting so I hope to run to the school gym to get some of my 1RM testing done. Woot!!!

Kathy -- enjoy that stretch day! What are you teacking the kids today?

Chris -- I found the place up the street (and the hill) makes to die for salt water caramel. MMMMMMM!!

Beth -- your trip sounds so cool! I wish I were an outdoorsy person. Part of it comes from the fact that bugs like to bite me and I really swell up pretty badly. That and I don't know how to swim. And I whine all the time. But it sounds so cool! And I do think you're cooler than I thought at first so there :). Yeah, the P57 stuff sounds interesting but I'm not touching it before people are done listening to Kelly Ripa. For all I know, all the people that lack the discipline to follow it through will put it on craigslist for wayyyy cheaper. I certinaly don't mind vacations at home. I'm a bit of a homebody in general but Joe is right, if I'm at home, i'm still inclined to do work but if I'm away, at least I'm walled up away from work and I'll go out and have fun (while bitching and moaning how expensive everything is). I never once tried a zumba class. They were the rage a year ago of here and now its sort of dead in LA. They still have the classes but I'm certainly going to chuckle at the next new thing. Man, I feel so lucky for picking the right things sometimes -- I gravitated towards step because I felt it was a tried and true technique that was resutls driven and then I was drawn to Cathe because of her style and quality of work. There are VERY few things exercise wise that I regret purchasing and that's pretty cool.

Joanne -- I know! I'm so glad my mom let me buy it. I would have never bought it if she didn't tell me to buy myself something with the $$$ she gave me. I'm excited to try the 1RMs today too. I have the pdf file printed out and I'm going to look through the order of things to maximize how I spend the time. I already went 60 mins already and had planned to do 90 minutes today so I need to figure 30 minutes somewhere. My lunch plans got canceled so I have to rearrange my day (and I hope to include saving the world somewhere in there too).

Still 9 hrs left to go...

Yep! Got IMAX2 done, and loved it! I did think of you, Hottie! I also thought of you the last 2 days when my boys were watching WALL-E in the car on the trip. We can't see the TV, so all Greg and I hear is the voices. There is VERY little conversasion in WALL-E, in case you haven't seen it. So all we'd hear basically is: WALLEEEE, and EVA . And i kept thinking of Evee, your pooch! LOL!.

Beth: I'm so sure you are on the road by now! Glad you enjoyed ME, I'm doing it tomorrow and am now looking forward to it. I went and looked at PHYSIQUE57, and it looks very cool (of course!). I think I may be ordering it in the VERY near future! Hope it's not on back order!!.... Enjoy your trip, it sounds fun and adventurous!!!

Joanne
: No, unfortunately the Salt WaterTaffy is home with us. Yesterday before we left, we found another candy store on the boardwalk that had tons of bins of different flavors, and you fill your own bag. VERY dangerous stuff with 2 of my boys that love it too. I bought a LOT of taffy. Pigged on it last night after i finally showered and sat down. And I hope I'm done with it and can let the 2 boys snack on it. ...... You have me excited for ME tomorrow too! ... YOu can probably just skip a workout or 2 next week of the rotation? Or maybe double up a day and do a shortened premix of GS and then a short cardio?....

Hottie: Oh I would not survive with a Salt Water Taffy store near me!! You should take the plastic off of the Evee's rope. My sister's dog got majorly sick because he used to eat plastic and pens and stuff. ... I think it's TREMENDOUS you tackled IM3 and have gotten it down. That is a TOUGH workout!!! .. You are going to be sore from that 1RM, I hope you know! I am hoping to start STS in Sept. Is that when you plan on it, or as soon as the 1RM's are done? ... I am so much like you. A homebody at heart. And of course , we planned to just wing it this week on vacation, and though we DID go to the beach for 2 days, if I'm home, I'm cleaning/laundering/cooking like any other day. *sigh*. And I also will go out/away and bitch about the price of things! LOL!!

Oh my I just walked in the door! I think we've been gone for almost 15 hrs...Evee was very sad but affectionate when we came home. No 1rms tonight -- I'm shooting for 2hrs of working out since I didn't get my 90 today but we'll see what distracts me. I am ready to plop! But get this -- yes I want to do STS wth you in Sept and so does Joe! :)

yawn -- ok, see ya'll tomorrow...
