Attention Dancers...

I just had to ask if anyone else has seen The Method show on the Health Network? (If you have directv, it's on channel #368.) I have started taping these, it is on two times a day and I am really impressed. Since I had my ankle injury, this has been a nice workout show to incorporate on those days I just know I shouldn't be doing Step. I just wanted to know if anyone else has tried the Method, and if using it has helped you to attain your goals?

Hey Tricia!

Can you believe this? I had the tape The Method All in One, and I didn't like it! Well, let me rephrase that, I liked it for a really low cardio day(if I had a cold or something). I just need more intensity, more of a sweat, ya'know? I will admit The Method is killer when it comes to the torso! That I do like. If I'm in the mood for a flowing, dancy, low key, let's work on stability day, then it's awesome. Otherwise, I want to sweat like a pig

! I have The Health Network also, but mine is one ch.481. Weird huh? OK, I'm shutting up now

! Have a good one!

Hi Aimee!

You are right, the Method Show is for those low cardio days. But wow, do I love, love, love the "Core Stabilization"! Truly awesome. I am in the piglet group, I better be glistening profusely by the time the warm-up is over or I'm not happy. (Cathe always delivers!) I've actually been at my gym doing kickbox aerobics and have had people come ask me if I was feeling okay!! My face gets redder than a fire engine when I work out - I just can't hold back!!! I do like the Method on days that my ankle is sore, like Tuesday - I tried to do Power Max but once I got to the pendulum across, my ankle had had enough for that day!! (I tore the ligaments in May - still recovering!!) But I refuse to let that stop me from trying again..Well, I'm rambling. Talk to you later,
Tricia

OW! Your poor ankle!

I have heard that that is worse than if it got broke! Sound like you're making a great recovery though

!

I'm doing better! Thanks for the support.

Every day is different, but I get so much from this forum. Any time I need a boost, I get it here. (I have a hard time with the therapy advice of "alternate activity"! All I wanna do is my step workout!)

I know the feeling well,

I really love step! That and lifting weights are absolutely my 2 favorite workouts to do! Take it easy and don't rush back in too fast and reinjure yourself. This forum really is great, isn't it? I never would've known if I hadn't bought BodyMax back in May. What a difference my fitness level is now. And what a great feeling to know that I can come on here and talk to you all, and somebody else has been there and understands and can offer advice. OK, now I'm just getting corny!TTFN!

Hi Tricia!

I'm a little late on this one, only because I was on vacation last week!
I LOVE the Method :)
I all the workouts with the exception of Tai Chi and the Baby and Mom workouts.
My goal is to L-E-N-G-T-H-E-N and the Method delivers. I completely bulked up with the PS Series and loved the look, but now I'm concentrating on just feeling more agile and graceful again. I was a dancer in college, so the Method fits with what I learned...Modern, Jazz, and Ballet. I was very lean in those years (geesh it was only 10 years ago!) and know that I must be realistic and realize that I may not achieve that again, especially with the development I have now. My body tends to break down after lifting with heavy reps and low reps. I can't wait to try Cathe's new 6 pack where it'll be more endurance type training. The core stabalization that's the current fitness trend, was something I learned in dance called Martha Graham technique. Everything always intiated from the center. I absolutely love Jennifer Kries. She's a good instructor. Tracy Mallet is my other favorite, only becase if I had the desire to have someone's body, it'd be hers!

I don't have Cable TV so I've not seen The Method Show, but maybe someday I will make an effort to find a friend that'll let me check it out on their TV!

Nice chatting with ya!

I like Marion Couteau!!

I just like to hear her talk you through the workout!! She is my favorite, then Jennifer Kries (because she packs alot into a workout!), and yes, Tracy Mallet because she is a vision of motivation!! I guess I like all the instructors!
I'm on my way out for the week-end, so talk to ya later!! I'm sure everyone will have alot to say once the video's arrive!
