Asics Crosstrainers

I love Asics as a running show and today I purchased a pair of their crosstrainers. I am really excited to try them--I'm getting ready to do 4DS LIS/Shoulders. But, they felt really comfortable in the store and weren't too terribly expensive at $69. I hope they are better for lateral support than the running shoes I was wearing.

New stuff does make a WO more fun!!

Cool! What model did you get? I wear Asics Kayanos for running and ordered the crosstrainers from Zappos, but they felt much shorter and/or narrower in the toe so I sent them back. They just felt tight and weird, and I even have pretty narrow feet. I'm wondering if I should try and order another pair and go up a half size. Are you wearing the same size as your running shoe?

Ok, today was the first workout in them and they felt pretty good. A lot different than the usual running shoe I wear. They are a little wider in the toe box, the heel is more stable from side to side and there is reinforcement around the toes for lateral support. They are asics gel-fx. I got them at Dick's. I would be scared to order online, I really like to try them on, then jump around the store a little :) You know, throw in a couple of lateral skates or something!

Wow, I had the same experience. I have had Asics Kayanos for years and keep replacing them every year for my running shoes. I love them so when they came out with the crosstrainer I ordered them. YUCK! They were super tight and felt narrow to me. I didn't even bother with trying a bigger size. I'm not sure what the deal is with the Kayano crosstrainers. If you order them again let me know if the bigger size helps.
