Ashley Elizabeth is here!

Thanks to exercise I believe Ashley made a quick entrance into the world. I felt slightly uncomfortable some of Thursday but got my workout in, had a friend visit and worked 4-7 pm. After work, I started feeling increasing ucky and by 8 pm back labor starting intensifing. By 9 they intensified a little more. My in laws were in transit home and they were my sitter so I figured I'd wait and se if contrations slowed. By 11pm they were pretty painful , called the doc and Mil at about 11:30 when contractions were about 5 minutes apart.
Got to the hospital around midnight. I was lucky, my doc was on call and was already at the hospital. He examined me and said I was 9.5 cm. Shrtly after, he broke my water and after a few pushes out popped Ashley Elizabeth. I did tear and need stiches but otherwise delivery went great and once again I didn't use an epideral.

Ashley weighed in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces, and measures 19 inches. She has dark hair like her sister .

I am happy to report that weight gain as of 8 pm Thurs was 21.5 pounds.

So who is next?

Congratulations, shopaholic! It has been a long time and I forgot how easily you delivered Alexis. It sounds like it could not have been better. I am so happy for you! Enjoy your beautiful girls!

Shopper!
A friend of mine told me the other day that her cousin was prego with her 2nd at my friends son's bday party last year and her water broke there and when she got to the hospital she delivered 10 minutes later!!!!!!! That totally scares me, what if I go that fast, since the first was fast. Yikes, I need an epidural, I can't imagine:eek:

How's your peanut doing? Smells delicious?;-)

I missed this somehow! Anyway CONGRATS, and I hope you heal quickly and completely soon!

Miriam was almost the exact same size! :)

julie, it is much easier to deliver those 6 pounders!
Emy, yes, I also had an easy delivery with Alexis. Hope your 2 are doing well.
Curly, To have your water break with no contractions and go in 10 minutes is rare, I wouldn't worry.
