I think that there are some kettle users who have visited this site and have some of these products. My question is do you know what this assistance band is called that he uses in this clip for pull ups?

I wasn't able to watch the clip, but I remember watching it before. I don't think is a resistance band he's using, it's a rope.

There are bands that are used for assisted pull ups. http://www.ironwoodyfitness.com/fitness-bands.php

They are not cheap, but they do work well.

Oh my Christine you weren't kidding they aren't cheap, . . do you know if buying a stronger resistance band would work too?

Hi Melissa. Yeah he uses both, . . .I don't know if I'm even close to doing even a half way pull up with the rope. I have a hard enough time doing my 2 dinky pull ups regular style. Those ropes look scary. I'm having scary visions of elementary school when I was forced to climb the rope in gym class.

I bought two of these ones awhile back, and they work great:

They're quite a bit cheaper than the Woody bands. I've been using them for assisted pull-ups -- since I can't even do one pull-up on my own!

Glad to help! I bought a medium and a light; I can use the medium one now (it provides more assistance), and hope to eventually work my way up to using the light! I shopped around a bit, and this seemed to be the best price!
