Are YOU hard to buy for?

I'm awful. Given the fact that DH and I both have good jobs and only ourselves to spend the vig on, given the fact that we are entirely debt-free (that includes zero mortgage and car payments), and given the fact that I have precisely zero sense of delayed gratification, I have everything that I need and/or want. My other family members are largely in that same category as well, so the number of people actually exchanging gifts has gone down radically over the years and usually we resort to gift cards (checks to the less financially comfortable). I don't even need hair-care products, for crying out loud.

The stuff that I really want (always fitness-related) is so esoteric that it's way easier for me to buy for myself. And I absolutely refuse to ask for money even though I have no problem giving dough as gifts.

A-jock thanks for telling me that the zero-debt thing is possible!! I'm happy to know someone is living the dream, LOL!

I'm terrible to buy for. I only like what I like and so it's just dreadful.

I'm exactly like A-jock except we still have some mortgage to pay off. The only things I really want that I don't feel comfortable buying for myself are laser hair removal (estimate $10,000) and a kitchen renovation (estimate $40,000). I don't expect to find either one under the Hanukah bush. ;)

ETA: Also, unlike A-jock, I do need hair care products. :7 :+ A-jock, I would love to see a pic of that bald head of yours someday.

Shelly - I'm with you on the SO being the greatest gift of all. This year, DH was cleared for bladder cancer, kidney cancer and any lingering heart disease or cardiac muscle death after his heart attack in 2005. Life is good.

Nance, I do have a picture of me with other Cathe-ites Jillybean, Amadeus and JMFrane; if I weren't so technically deficient I'd get it scanned in here. Just picture Demi Moore a la G.I. Jane without the hundreds of millions of dollars, looks or Ashton Kutcher.

Ajock, just send it to me by email and I'll post it for you.

Ajock, I just realized you would have to scan the picture in order to send it to me by email. Duh. :+

Maybe, I can find that picture of us 4 and I will get it to my brother in the next few weeks. Maybe, he would do it for us since I don't know how either -he put my picture on here of Cathe and myself :)

And, I think I am very hard to buy for

Ditto, what A-Jock said, except for the mortgage. I usually tell my SO what fitness stuff I want, my DS picks something out for me. As for the big fmily gathering we just buy for the kids.
