Are Kettlebell WOs circuit or full-body?

Hi everyone,

Sorry to ask even more questions about the kettlebells, but I'm trying to put together a rotation for the next month, and am not sure how I'll integrate my new kettlebell workouts. I just ordered The KB Way and Keith Weber's Extreme Cardio workouts, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to use them.

Right now, my main goal is to get some definition. A few people in another thread mentioned that using full-body workouts twice a week (along with one circuit day and three days of cardio) really helped them get some definition, so I'm thinking about doing something similar.

If I decide to use one kettlebell workout a week, should that replace one of the full-body workouts or should it replace the circuit day?
Or would it be more effective to do one full-body workout (Muscle Max, Power Hour, etc.), one KB workout, and one circuit workout? In other words, would it be better to make the KB workout count as my circuit workout and do two full days of traditional full-body workouts, or do the KB workouts provide enough training to count as full-body workouts?

TIA for any help that anyone can provide! Sorry to ask so many questions, but I want to be sure that I'm using the KB's in an effective way!:)

I would use the kettlebell workout to replace the circuit workout. While the two you mentioned are full body workouts, they will work you differently than weights would and have much more of a cardio factor. I think you would get the most benefit from using them to replace the circuit.

Thanks so much, Christine! I really appreciate the help! :) That's what I was thinking, but wasn't quite sure!

Leanne,

You must stop posting about kettlebells, or I'm going to be tempted to buy some! AARGH!;)

Can't wait to meet you in a couple of weeks!

Hi Laura,

Oops! Sorry to be an enabler!;-) I'll be sure to let you know when we meet how I like using them (unless, of course, you want me to tell you that they're horrible! ;-) )

Can't wait to meet you, too! I'm really looking forward to it!

:)
