Hey there!:) I was wondering if you wouldn't mind explaining to me exactly how you program your DVD player?? I've re-read your posts about it and it sounds like you find a place on the disk and immediately stop and either find a new chapter on the same disk or go to the next disk and repeat. My question: Once you 'leave' a disk, can you go back to it in the same workout? If so, how? It sounds like you must choose all of the chapters on one disk first and then move on to the next disk, without jumping from one disk to the next. I'm so so sorry to bother you about this! I was just so excited to finally get my 5 disk changer only to discover that it won't program across disks.:( My mood was lightened by reading your posts about how you overcame that problem but alas, being so electronically challenged, I couldn't exactly figure out how you were doing it. Thanks SO much! And anyone else who might have any insight, I would greatly appreciate your input!

TIA

Hi, Carolyn! Glad you have a new toy! I'm not sure I've ever explained adequately how I work my Sony Fossil, but I do know that I've never programmed it across discs and stored the programs the way they said you could in the manual.

I place all the discs into the machine that I want to use, and then to prep the workout I select each beginning chapter or point in the disc (I may want to do a drill or sequence that begins AFTER the chapter point), then immediately advance to the next disc, select the next point on the disc where I want to start, and so on. I use the "disc skip" feature on my remote to advance.

In answer to your question "Once you 'leave' a disk, can you go back to it in the same workout?", the answer is "YES". The disc resumes from the last point that you left it; i.e. it "remembers" where you left off and picks up at that point again. That's the beauty of it. It's also cool that the machine "remembers" where you left off in a specific disc for several days (the number of days varies with each disc you have; don't ask me why), so you can load up your machine in the morning and select each disc point you want to start, go do your stuff for the day and get your workout started in the afternoon with everything all ready to go.

I hope this has at least been in English. Can anyone else give a better explanation?

THANK YOU! I'm off to try this right now. It sounds like you figure out your chapter order, then go about finding them, playing them for a second, and moving on, even if it's to another disk. So basically you run through the chapters of your workout as you want them to play?

Thank you! Thank you! Did I say thank you?:)
