Good morning everyone!!

Sorry I was missing this weekend..Busy days..We had a great time in NC at my cousin's wedding. The weather was beautiful and the drive down went quick. Thanks goodness!!

Anyway, I took Thursday and Friday as rest. Then I worked out with Rhythmic Step on Saturday and then another rest yesterday...Today, I am ready to get back to it..

I am starting on Meso 3 today..Chest and back. I was considering going for a short run too. It looks nice outside right now. If the weather holds up, I may add that today too. Start off slow and build up. I really feel like giving running a try and do more of it. I got my ipod loaded and charged and ready to go..

Be back later..

Good morning (sort of), Kathy & all! Checking in late here -- the kids are off school one last day so we are having a lazy morning. Travis has had a bad cough for a few days, and yesterday we noticed a rash all over his body. I'm taking him to the dr. this afternoon -- one other time he had similar symptoms it was strep throat.

Kathy, I'm glad to hear the weather was nice for the wedding weekend! Can't wait to hear what you think of meso 3 -- I really don't know how I'll be able to do some of those things without a rack.

I did legs this morning and increased my weights. My hamstring was really sore yesterday after running sprints, so it's super sore now! I just stretched a bunch, but I may have to ice it or something. I did Tracy's waist work, and then for fun I did the medicine ball abs w/ partner with Dylan as my partner. Since that wasn't necessarily as hard as it was meant to be, I also did most of weights and plates abs. I don't get the plates there -- I never saw any. Did I just skip it somehow?

Hope everyone had a nice Easter. We had quite a feast here -- seared tuna, smashed potatoes w/ rosemary, an asian sort of slaw, roast asparagus, and a teeny bit of cheesecake for dessert. The remainder of the cheesecake is in my fridge now -- good thing that's not a weakness for me! And all I had to do was the dishes!

cheers,
-Beth

Hey Beth: We had cheesecake yesterday too. Hubby loves cheesecake. So, I made it per his request. We were all eager to have sweets since we gave it up for lent. We also went to Ruby Tuesday's after church for lunch. It was really good...Hope Travis doesn't have strep! Meso 3 is TOUGH!!! Cathe does the plate section of those abs at the end after you take off all the weights...Good workout!

Ok, checking back in with disc 25.....Meso 3 is tough. 80% and pushing my muslces...It is tougher to do chest flies? I ended up doing those with 25 pounds where I used 30 for the chest presses (and I have my weighted gloves with about 3 1/2 pounds in them) There wasn't much variety of exercises. But, they were goodies!!!

Hope everyone else is doing well..Where are you all???

Oh and I forgot to mention that I took the kids to the track and I ran 2.25 miles and walked .75 miles..It was great. That ipod helped alot. I should have gotten it a long time ago..

Hey Girls!!

I totally overdid the SWEETS yesterday, moreso than the dinner food. That Italian German Chocolate Cake and Cookies...!!

But I'm back on the wagon today. Even thought there ARE leftovers, I will be strong or I will throw them far far away. And yes, will lock up the leftover Easter chocolate for "emergencies" LOL!

I went into work last night and had to "float" and work on another unit. Those nurses were SOOO happy and appreciative to have me and they treated me like GOLD! I had only 4 patients ALL NIGHT , and they did NOT give me any admissions. The only thing was, I was soooo freakin tired after a long day at home entertaining. But I made it through somehow.

So today was day #1 of MESO #3!!!!:eek::eek: Yes, the technique and exercises are VERY traditional. I was able to crank out every rep, but did struggle with the last 1-2, esp nearer to the end. 4 cycles!!! I didn't think the pauses were that drawn out, did you kathy? I ended up changing around my weights, and stretching a little and having water...it went quickly.

I backrowed 80 lbs!!! Chest flies were 26 for me. I did ok, but it was hard to get back up from the flies with the heavy weights, but do-able.

I'm back in the game, and feel good, though!!!

I did get a comment from one SIL yesterday, she asked me if I had taken back up with running, because I looked like I was thinner since Christmas :). I have taken up running, but I think it's more the STS!! Love it!

Beth: Hope your Travis is ok! The poor kiddo! It does sound like strep. Oh ouch on the legs!! Hope you're ok!! Your Easter/non-Easter dinner sounds so good and healthy! YUM!

That's awesome, Kathy! I'm glad you enjoyed it!! Music made me LOVE runnng too!!!

Kathy, you are quite the exercise fiend today! Good for you!

The quick strep test was negative for Travis, but they are sending it to the longer lab to make sure (I did have one end up positive that way for one of the boys once -- after I'd been sending him to school and everything!). The dr. didn't think it was a strep-type of rash -- she said that kind is usually more like sandpaper? She thinks it's something topical, though what we didn't have a clue. I wondered if it was all the dye in all of the starburst and skittles he ate yesterday!! She said to give him some benadryl and cough medicine and send him to school. both boys were sooo hyper.... she commented, and then the lady at the pharmacy was just flabbergasted. After commenting that she wishes she could have their energy, and Travis commented back, she said, "Did he just say ADD gives him energy?" and we both said "yup!" and she looked at me and said "bless you!" I got in the car and just laughed. What she doesn't know is that I have a third one in Larry!!

Ok, some of that hyperness came to me, obviously.... I'd better go make good use of it!

-Beth
