Anyone seen Spamalot?

I think I'm gonna get tix for either August or Sept & make a night out on the town of it. Is it as funny as they say?

You help me laugh which is much more important.

Maybe I'll take the BF for his bday in Oct. Or I could just take him for the heck of it.

Shelley is correct. My DH took me for my birthday this year.

First off, the show is pretty funny and I'm a tough customer. Let me summarize it this way:

If you like Broadway musicals and you're familiar with Monty Python and like them (and you can justify the expense), you should go.

On the other hand, if you're not crazy about Broadway musicals and you love Monty Python and are very familiar with them, skip it and rent Holy Grail again (and save about $194). (This is my category).

Hope my DH doesn't see this.

LOL! I like both & part of the justification of this is while I'll spend the money on the tix, he'll spend much more on dinner & drinks. It will be nice to get out of town for a night.

Well I'm gonna try to get them cheap on ebay. Wish me luck.

Nancy...

Nancy,

I recall from an earlier thread about Spamalot that you were going to see Ave. Q. Did you ever go? Did you like it as much as I did?

I'm going to see Pillowman this week and am really looking forward to it...

RE: Nancy...

Oh yes LaG! I did like Avenue Q. Pillowman sounds great. Right now if I were going to see a Broadway show, I think my top pick would be Doubt. But the tickets have to be discounted, because I am NOT paying $100 per ticket just to see a play. Even New Yorkers have their limits.

RE: Nancy...

OK thinking about this gave me an awesome idea--this is what I'm gonna give my boss for his wedding, since I can't be there. Aren't I a genius? ;-)
